Though it took around 10 minutes to reach the castle. That distance was traversed over marshlands and rocky grass fields and mounds, along with scarce withered trees, some green, some not.
There was nothing in particular in the direction from which he came, but when he arrived at the castle he could see crude and crooked roads stretching out from the mansion in 3 different directions. Presumably 1 towards the human capital, 1 towards the other vampire families, and 1 towards the border of this country.
Arriving at the library, Alexandria said "wait here" while she went off, presumably to negotiate with the patriarch, her grand-grandfather. While he went through the library as he had requiem store the information for him.
as he was flipping through the books for requiem to store, he was thinking of how he should phrase his [prime directive] to Requiem, so that she… it understands what to work towards; while he could focus on life and long term goals.
"Requiem, set prime directive to Survival above all, with a priority on gathering strength; while remaining sane"
- How would you define sane?
"uhh… no major changes in personality brought on by the increase in power"
- Should I start straight away, right now the most recommended action Is stretching joints and tendons to become more flexible in combat?
"sure"
…
*Gu-duk* a soft clicking sound came seconds before a bloodcurdling scream shook the entire castle
"WHAT THE FUCK REQUIEM, WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!" Karl screamed after seeing his dislocated arm.
- Because of the inherent recovery ability of vampires, stretching joints will be a one-time issue. We can become flexible , until the law of diminishing returns won't allow us to contract our muscles anymore.
*snap* "AAARRGHHHHH! FUCK!"
*Gu-duk* "OK STOP STOP STOOOP; TIME OUT!"
- If we stop now, you will have to experience the pain all over again and again until we're done. Better to finish fast and be over with it.

"haaah … haaah"
Lying on the floor covered in sweat and tears was Karl, in the middle of the library.
"Why were you screaming like that, did you see a ghost or something?" Alexandria came into the library and found him lying there panting.
"haaah … I was stretching .. haah … what is it?"
"the patriarch agreed, but you have to fight for the family in the upcoming vampire wars, of course you'll be supplied with your weapon of choice, and a body cultivation technique to be used on battlefields. You will fight for the bloodstone family as "Karl Bloodstone" and whether you die or live you will be a servant of the family in name only, so you won't have to marry me; but we have to put a fake slave seal on you. Don't worry though, it would only allow us to talk to you from miles away, not order you around, so long as you don't sully our name by committing crimes."
-
"hah.." while standing up he asked; "so when will I be going, do I get some time to train or am I just going there straight away, what weapons do you have?" he panted; in response he saw the most shit eating, sinister grin he had ever seen, the teeth didn't even look human, more like a smaller version of a sharks zigzag-y teeth; as he thought about it he felt a slight itchy and growing pain in his own set of teeth.
- Further amendments have been discovered, recommended action; destruction and rebuilding of the body using the innate vampire bloodline's extreme recovery abilities.
"just to be sure, does that include the brain?" he thought and while thinking about it he added in "and the bones?"
- As for the brain and cranial bones, not yet, dental and other bones, though most of them won't need it as of now, some need restructuring for them to withstand the current amount of strength you can output.
While "listening" he thought to himself "NOT YET?! Oh god…" as he felt a very particular headache coming on.
"we have a blacksmith so you can tell him what you're looking for and he'll help you make it with our signature bloodstone alloy, while he's making the weapon you can stay here and train in our family martial arts or cultivate your bloodline or body… or just wait."
"ok ill draw up something, make sure it works as instructed, you can leave once I'm done."
Requiem; draw up a blueprint of some scythe, make it cool but practical, and make it so it can be locked into either a normal scythe, or a war-scythe, both sides of the blade should be sharp, though the inner blade for the normal mode should be sharper… What other ways are there for me to get strong? Are there any other races than vampires I got to watch out for?"
- There are currently only three races on earth though based on these books there used to be hundreds.
- The three races that survived, and the fourth that disappeared are the vampire race, the elven race and the human race, and the god race that disappeared.
- Though different races within the vampire category exist the most common denominator of a vampire is someone who drinks blood to become stronger.
- The elven race, though there are different races within this category as well, the common denominator is their sharp ears and spiritual powers, akin to those from fantasy stories, though there are many more types.
- And the human race, or the mix breeds as they're known in this world, they stem from every one of the hundreds of bloodlines that has lived in this world, but because of this, a lot of elements clash in their bodies leaving them way weaker than most other races, though to make up for it they develop technology, the vampires have only recently picked up and started developing technology of their own.
- There is also a missing race you might want to watch out for, known as "Gods" their blood is like mercury, their bones are like Steel and their muscles akin to Kevlar, though they disappeared; they were one of the races that remained up until a few hundred years back, and they were the sole oppressors because of their might.
- The way the races got stronger varied from race to race but there was one common consensus, there were 4 ways of cultivating to achieve strength; cultivating the Dao, cultivating the soul, cultivating the body, and cultivating your spirituality.
- Though most races are limited to one or two, humans can do all three, because of their origins, while cultivating the Dao is a lost art.
- As a former human, and as a vampire, you have a possibility to cultivate all three, though you will see vastly more success in cultivating your body/bloodline than if you were to try to cultivate spirituality, or your soul, even though you are already pretty strong soul-wise, it would be hard to get stronger using that as a springboard, since cultivating the body would surpass the soul in speed by so much that until you reach the peak of body cultivation you would be wasting your time and effort, in conclusion, strength is to be gained through body cultivation and bloodline refining.
as requiem was briefing him, he pulled out a paper and wrote a basic outline for the design of the scythe, naming it the Bloodstone scythe.
