Moments Before Attack

When the first round exploded, Tigun immediately run toward one of the shooting window to take a peek. At first, he think it's a new weapon the enemy's has. Then, the second explosion that was louder than the first erupted. When he take a peek, he can see that the explosion is erupted outside the city. Then the sound of helicopter followed by music and gunfire can be heard. The enemy that still confused by the music immediately die on their spot. After that moment, Tigun realise it was reinforcement and breathe a sigh of relief.

With the Eldians' sudden attack, the enemy is in chaos. Tigun know that this is the perfect opportunity to attack. Tigun then order his men to regroup. "Alright men! Get ready to move out!"

After just a few moments, the remaining soldiers of Lervi city finish gathering in front of the mountain door. "Alright! We will meet up with the unknown army outside! While they are killing our enemy, we still don't know who they are, so stay sharp! If you encounter any of those monsters, even the fallen ones, make sure you shoot it in the head!"

Tigun then look at the door keeper and gave him the signal. The door keeper then pull the lever and the door began to open up. "LET'S GO!" After Tigun shout, he and his men then charge outside and kill any enemy they encounter. At the same time, the ICV can be seen entering the gate.

Seeing Tigun heading toward them, Oman then do the same. "Marshal team, Gregory team, change of plan. Stand by at the main road. I'll talk to the locals first."

""Roger Ground leader.""

Oman then exit his vehicle, walk toward Tigun and then salute at him. "Major Oman Te'lok."

Tigun then salute back. "Knight leader Tigun Landa. You have my thanks, major Oman. We all have lost our hope of getting out of this alive."

"Pleasure... We will began clearing the city, you and your men should get some rest."

"No, major. You will need my men, they know every alley, every nook and cranny of this city. I'm sure they will be useful."

Oman saw how the men behind Tigun look exhausted, they will only become a liability if push come to shoved. "I'm sure they are, but we.."

"Major! We live at this town. Almost all of my men grow here in this town! Don't you dare refuse their right to chase away the invader out of their hometown."

Seeing the conviction of the Lervi city men despite their exhaustion, Oman can only except them. "Very well. Please divide your men enough to clear the city in one go. My men will help them clearing the south side of the city. The north side on the other hand, you will be helped by our air trooper. They will be here after we began to move."

"I understand. I will talk with my men."

Oman nod and then relay this to the attack teams "Marshal team, Gregory team, listen up. We have local guard that will act as a guide, protect them at all cos.."

Before Oman can finish his sentence, five Uruk-kai suddenly jumped down from the rooftops. One of them aimed at him and Tigun. His men immediately scream "CONTACT!!"

Oman then automaticly shoved Tigun away, draw his sidearm and quickly shot 3 round onto the Uruk-kai's head. The uruk-kai lifeless body fell between Oman and Tigun. "Clear!"

"Clear!"

"Clear!"

"All clear sir!"

Oman then called out the Aztec team, angrily. "Aztec team! The fuck you're doing! We just got ambushed from the roof tops! What kind of air cover is this shit!!"

"This is Aztec leader, apologies ground leader. It wont happen again."

"Better be, or else I'll make sure all of you lot back doing basic training." After Oman give his warning, he then look at Tigun. "Are you alright?"

"Yes." Tigun timidly answer.

"We should start moving, is your men ready?"

"Ready as they can be."

"Okay le.."

"Wait! Before that, I ask you to spare some men to guard the mountain door."

"Understood. Faye-zero-six, Faye-zero-seven, and all medic teams you guys head to the mountain door and establish a field medic and a FOB (Forward Operation Base)."

"""Yes sir!"""

"Faye leader to me."

"Sir!"

"Knight leader Tigun, I'm sorry to say, but I will have to ask you to stay with me guarding the mountain door."

"I'm sorry, but I will not leave my men."

"And you wont. You will stay with me, and guide your men from there."

"What do you mean."

"We have eyes in the sky."

"..." Tigun didn't know what Oman meant with that and just pause in place.

"Please, trust us and follow me, you will be much more helpful to this fight and to your men this way." Oman then reasure Tigun.

"... Alright."

"Thank you. Faye leader, take half of the Knight leader Tigun's men and devide them to each group. The other half will follow the air troopers to clear the other side of the city."

"Yes sir!"

Oman and Tigun then head toward the mountain door. At the mountain door, Oman amazed with the size of the door. The door was a 70 meters tall and 10 meters wide dual door made of iron, with four level of catwalk. It's not wrong to call it the mountain door. Tigun on the other hand, amazed with Oman's men and the FOB they had set up. Even though Tigun didn't understand what kind of equipment inside the FOB, but to erect a building in just few minutes, it is a difficult if not an imposible job. But in reality, the engineer only need to measure the necessary spot, and then take the FOB out from the dimensional storage.

"This way major, knight leader."

"Good work. How's the uplink?"

"Uplink has been established, and will be online.. now." After the engineer say that, the monitor then projected the drone view of the city from the sky.

"Wha, what's this!?"

"Like I say before, we have eyes in the sky. What you see here, is the live overview look of Lervi city. See here, that's us. More to the left, that's our men. We can even see through the roof. But if the enemy's body temperature is cold enough, the camera wont capture them."

"What a magnificent tool. With this, any man with enough knowledge in warfare, can carry out his strategy with ease if not perfectly."

"Well then, knight leader Tigun, this is your show now. Lead us and take back your city."

"Thank you, major Oman."

Oman then give some orders. "All ground attack team break formation! Weapons check! Airborne infantry, dismount as soon as the main road cleared out!"
