The Beginning

Cough! Cough!

She was laying in the middle of a battle field breathing her last few breaths whilst coughing up blood. Her long and beautiful pink hair was now stained with blood, dirt, and small bits of grass. The blood-soaked leather armor she was wearing riddled with arrows and slashes from swords.

Princess Ye Sakura, War-God General of the Ye clan, did not even see the battle coming. She did not notice the other generals of her clan scheming against her. Even though she was well known for being the best strategist on the continent, she was still caught by surprise by the three regiments following hers which were led by generals of her own clan. Betrayed! She was Betrayed by her own clan.

By the time she had realized what was happening, about one fourth of her thousand plus man regiment had perished under the onslaught of the combined three thousand plus men of the other three. In the end she lost everyone of her loyal soldiers. By this point it was her against the two thousand plus men from other three regiments that were left. In her rage over the betrayal and the loss of her followers, she went on to kill all two thousand of those men by herself.

She was not a War-God General for no reason. Not only was she known for being a strategist she was also trained in very advanced martial arts, swordsmanship, as well as, fire magic. Because Sakura was one of very few on the continent who could use magic to control the elements and the fact that she had a very good teacher, she was very powerful. Which is why she was able to kill two thousand soldiers by herself, however, doing so still came with the price of her life.

Her last thoughts before she closed her eyes in this life where about her little brother, the person she loved most. She hoped that her brother would somehow still be safe even without her there anymore. Then, everything turned to black.

Ye Sakura suddenly sensed she was in an upright position laying down on some sort of bed. There was also something on her face covering her nose and her mouth. She still seemed to be able to breath but she still wanted to know what it was so she tried to lift her arm to investigate only to find out she was barely able to twitch one of her fingers.

She gave up on that for now and decided to try and open her eyes to take a look. It was not easy but the world of black slowly started to brighten up. At first it was too bright but slowly her eyes adjusted to the light. On her face she found that there was a see-through object covering her nose and mouth that had a long tube connected to it. It seemed to be providing her with air to breath but she did not know why such a thing would be needed.

Not knowing what to think of this object she decided to take in her surroundings. This was when she realized she indeed was on some sort of bed that was raise high off the ground. She had never seen such a bed. It had a small arc so she wasn't laying down completely flat but had her upper body raise slightly. Looking around more she found that she was inside of a small room. To the right she then caught sight of a young women, maybe sixteen years old, pouring water out of an object she was holding onto some flowers on a table beneath a window.

When the girl finished and placed the object down she turned around to look at Sakura and their eyes met. Her carefree warm smile she was wearing instantly changed to an expression of surprised shock which she held as she was frozen to the spot for about a minute before the smile returned and she rushed over to the side of the bed.

"Sis, your awake, oh my god, your awake!" she exclaimed as the happiness on her face was apparent. Another few seconds went by and the girl realized she was not getting a response. Therefore, she reached up above to where Sakura could not see on the wall behind her and she heard a clicking sound followed by a small beep. These where both sounds she had never heard before.

"Don't worry Sis, I just called the doctor and they should be on their way." The girl calmly said as she grabbed Sakura's right hand in the both of hers.

That was the second time she heard that word. "Sis." Was this girl saying she was her sister?

As she was thinking this the girl's eyes started watering up and tears stared to fall.

"Sis, your finally awake," she choked through smiling sobs.
