The Silver Benzy

"Where did you skip to, huh?" Lai Mingjie tutted as he waited for Xu Rouguang with his arms akimbo. He was standing outside a family restaurant somewhere in the city; he didn't want to enter without Xu Rouguang. The demon king noticed the general's disheveled hair before reaching out to comb it with his fingers. "You just excused yourself from everyone and fluttered away."

"Sorry, Jie. I don't remember how it was when I was in Heaven, but I feel like I have a lot of work to do." Xu Rouguang chuckled as he stood still, letting Lai Mingjie fix his hair. "I was only second-in-command, but I feel like I should be leading all of them nonetheless."

"Hmph, with that Grand General always having a drink with Nuwa—of course, General Xu had to work so hard." Lai Mingjie sighed as he ushered Xu Rouguang to follow him inside. "For now, don't be General Xu." He then snickered as he started talking about the food served in the place.
