The Legend of the Bhageerathi Galaxy

The girl in the lavender hemisphere had just regained consciousness and opened her eyes to look around herself. But everywhere she looked, only ash and dust entered her vision. She was confused because she couldn't recognize the place she was at. She summoned all the strength of her body and tried to get up.

She tried hard to remember what happened to her and what was this lavender hemisphere surrounding her, restoring the strength in her body. She concentrated and put all of her focus towards recognizing this place. Suddenly, a gush of memories started flooding her mind as she came to a sudden realization.

In that flood of memories, the last thing she remembered was being humiliated by that husky guard. When he landed that hit on her body, it injured her internal organs, and when she was lying on the ground, writhing in agony, that scum of a leader made some lusty comments about her body and tried putting his dirty hands on her face.

However much she wanted to repel his hands, she couldn't do anything because of that agonizing pain. His hand caressed her cheeks and slowly slid down towards her neck. When his fingers touched her neck, all of a sudden, her body jolted and her mind started turning numb. She couldn't understand what was going on in her body as she finally lost her consciousness.

"That scumbag, he must've used some underhanded trick to make me unconscious." "Meanwhile, what happened to this place? A few moments ago, it was still lively and filled with so many people, but now, there's only ash and dust lying everywhere."

"What is going on, how long have I been unconscious?" The girl mumbled to herself in a minute voice. She was stunned to see the market which was filled with so many different kinds of shops, goods, and people at that time, had all been reduced to ashes.

She let all those memories sink inside her mind when suddenly, her face contorted as she finally seemed to have realized something.

"Grandpa... where is my grandpa?"

Panic spread on her flawless face as the girl tried to stand up on her own, but the strength in her body seemed to have not recovered to the extent of her being able to stand up on her own as she fell on her knees immediately.

The girl was in the lavender hemisphere, on her knees as her heart was getting anxious while her eyes started searching everywhere for her grandfather.

Her grandfather was the only one whom she could call family in this whole wide world. She had never seen her parents. She heard from her grandfather that her parents had died soon after she came into this world.

He told her that there was an accident caused by the traitorous officials when that bastard rose in rebellion, which resulted in her parent's death.

Her grandpa had told her that her parents were one of the loyal subjects of the previous emperor, and because of that, the new emperor joined with the traitorous officials and killed every last one of them.

After the death of her parents, her grandfather took her in and raised her till now. She was the apple of his eyes, and he was the most important person in the whole world for her. She had never experienced parental love in her life, but strangely, she never missed it. The love and affection her grandfather displayed for her gave her a sense of belonging.

She probably knew in her heart that even if her parents would've been alive, then it would've been the same as now. Their love would've felt the same as she felt from her grandfather.

She couldn't even remember the faces of her parents. In all of her memories, only her grandfather had been there for her entire life. He was just like her mother and father as well.

He taught her everything, from riding a horse to defending herself from any possible danger. He was the only person in the whole world, whom she could rely on.

Whenever she got herself in any kind of trouble, her grandpa would always come and save her. But this time, it seemed as if she had caused huge trouble, and her grandpa seemed to be suffering because of her. Her eyes became wet as a drop of tear rolled down on her cheeks.

"Oh, you're awake." A voice that resembled a teenaged boy, landed in her ears. She looked around to find the source of that voice but failed to find anyone. A surprised look flashed on her countenance as she asked.

"Who…, who are you?"

"My name is Ved, and don't be startled, I'm not your enemy."

"Your grandfather told me to pick you up and run far away from this place," Ved replied to her. Her grandfather told him to save her, and he will surely do that.

"Where is my grandfather, and what happened to this place?" The girl felt at ease after hearing his voice. His voice had a kind of charm that calmed her rapidly beating heart. She wasn't able to see his figure, but that could be possible by having a high-level treasure with him. He must be someone from one of those prestigious clans, and because of him mentioning her grandpa, she tried to trust him.

"He is fighting with the enemy, and from the looks of it, he will surely win. Don't worry; your grandfather is pretty strong."

"You can see for yourself, they are that way." Ved tried to calm her chaotic mind. He put his hand on her head and turned it a little towards her right.

The girl looked in front, and some silhouettes entered her sight. Between them, there was a familiar back, which she remembered by heart. She had seen it countless times in her life.

The broad and firm back, on which he used to give her piggyback rides and stroll down the streets when she was little, the back, behind which, she always felt safe. It was her grandpa. He was alive. A faint smile broke out on her face as she heaved a sigh of relief.

"Ved, the way you are using a high-level treasure to make yourself invisible, you should be from a prestigious clan, right! Will you help me save my grandfather?" The girl had a worried look on her face as she asked the invisible teenage boy.

"You shouldn't worry about your grandfather. He is strong, strong enough to defeat the person who did this to the market. He will be alright."

"We will only be a burden to him if we try to help. We could be used against him by those people. We're not strong enough, so let's get away from this place, and your grandfather will meet us after he settles everything here." Ved replied.

The girl was surprised to hear about her grandfather being strong enough to fight those elite guards. Her grandfather was that strong? But he never demonstrated that kind of strength before as he always lived his life avoiding troubles.

She just couldn't believe his words as it was impossible. She tried to say something, but suddenly, a heavy aura covered the whole space, and a deep voice emerged from afar.

"I never expected that I would get to meet a member of Vkarma clan, here of all places."

"That waste of space did something worthwhile before his death. May I know which position do you possess in Vkarma clan?"

The voice aimed towards the girl in the lavender hemisphere. A golden silhouette slowly became distinguishable to her eyes as he walked forward towards her.

She couldn't understand anything. She looked towards the golden robed man, and a chill went down her spine. She felt threatened just by matching his gaze.

"Don't look him in the eyes," Ved shouted in a frenzied manner. He got an unusual feeling in his gut that told him to stay away from this person. He was not an ordinary person. His instincts warned him that he was not the kind of an entity, which he could trifle with.

He told her to cover her eyes. There was an overbearing aura exuding from that person's demeanor. He wanted to run, but he could only manage to stand straight on his spot, staring at him walking towards them as if he didn't have any control over his body. He seemed to have been hypnotized by that man's eyes, but suddenly, a loud voice rang in his ears.

"Flee…you fools."

The loud shout jolted Ved's whole body. It woke him up from his hypnotized state as he seemed to have come to his senses. He picked up the girl in his arms and readied himself to run away from this place.

The lavender hemisphere, which was protecting her from all the damages till now, faded into thin air as soon as he picked her up in his arms.

After hearing that loud shout, Ved complied and ran with the girl lying in his arms. He didn't think about the destination which he was supposed to go and just ran crazily. He wanted to get away from that golden robed person. Somehow he felt that the golden robed person was not a kind soul. They will be much safer if they won't encounter him.

After warning the boy and girl duo, the old man ran towards the region head. He had to stop him from approaching them. He would have to buy some time for them to get away from this place, and the only way it would be possible if the region head will not get in their way.

He was going back, but what happened to him? Why did he suddenly come back and started asking about the young mistress's background?

Her background was a well-kept secret, and no one except himself knew about it, and as far as he knew, he never talked about it after the death of her parents. How did the region head come to know about this secret?

Whatever the situation was, it didn't matter. What mattered was how would he going to restrict the region head from approaching the young mistress and letting her escape from this place. The only way for that to happen was to start a fight with the region head.

It was a bit hard for him to fight in his condition, but there were no other options left to consider. He made up his mind as he tapped on the ground and ran towards the region head.

The old man used his movement technique to its fullest and increased his speed by two folds. He knew that if he couldn't manage to intercept the region head in the time, the kids won't be able to run away. He used his spiritual energy to increase his speed in the air.

"Where are you going?" Before the old man could reach the region head, suddenly, a bulky figure intercepted him in the middle. It was Subahu, to whom the region head had ordered to take care of him.

Subahu didn't seem to have the confidence before, but with those energy booster pills given to him by the region head, he thought that he could be able to do so as he was ordered.

He took out a pill and chugged it down his throat. In the next moment, a wild gush of raw spiritual energy started flowing inside his body. As time passed, his power started increasing rapidly.

With this kind of power within him, he felt that he could defeat anyone. A sinister smile formed on his face as he rushed towards the old man and appeared in front of him in a mere moment.

"Before you go and annoy the region head, you should let me experience the power you used to crush our leader." With a sinister smile plastered on his countenance, Subahu said in a mocking manner.

Without giving the old man much time to react, he clutched his fingers to form a fist and sent out a whirling punch towards that old man.

Ved was running frantically while carrying the girl in his arms. He didn't even turn his head around to look if he was being chased or not. He didn't understand why, but he had an unsettling feeling about this situation in his heart.

A shocked look covered the countenance of the girl as she couldn't understand what was going on. She looked befuddled. She couldn't understand why were they running? Why did that golden robed person look at her and ask about one of the legendary clans of this galaxy?

She had heard stories from her grandfather about the Vkarma clan and their clansmen. They were the popularly known legend of the Bhageerathi galaxy.
