The Saved Boy

A young boy with fiery red hair and brilliant amber eyes, a distinct feature of the Solaire family, fights desperately alone against a crowd of people armed with different weapons. Wielding special high class customized handguns in both of his hands, the boy confronts his enemies with grim determination. Outnumbered, the boy aware of his small figure uses its advantages when he manipulates the scattered debris around him as cover. With a closer inspection, the place where the young boy fighting now is where Lyra's uncle's corpse was supposed to be. The same place where Lyra had no choice but to leave.

Bullets are everywhere, the young boy with all the skill he can muster avoids most of them while maneuvering to take down his enemies. The boy focused on his fight ignores the fact that the hidden guards his parents sent are watching over him and by giving them a command he could end the fight without lifting a finger. He wants to win this fight with his own strength. He wants to know if the rigorous and vicious training he has gone through over the past three years is enough to make him strong enough. Strong enough to fight his own fight and win without dragging an innocent person into it.

The hidden guards of the young boy are anxiously watching over their young master's fight. They could only make a move if their young master is only close to death's door since they can't disobey the order of the future head of the Solaire family. Their young master strictly ordered them to only help him if as he put "only a breath away from death."

The determination and perseverance of the young boy while fighting enables the young boy to gain valuable insight into his enemies' weaknesses. This gave him the great opportunity to break through his enemies' attacks. His ability to adapt and grow while fighting truly makes him a prodigy

"This kid is a monster!" one of his enemies shouted before he was killed by a shot in the throat.

With a great struggle, the young boy covered in blood from his own wounds and blood splattered on him from his enemies finally kills off the last of his opponent. The hidden guards finally let out the breath they have been holding. They were silently boasting in their minds how awesome their young master is.

"Check if there's anyone else left of them," a cold but alluring voice of the young boy commands the hidden guards.

Quickly but efficiently the hidden guards did as they were commanded. They made a thorough inspection of the place making sure there are no more enemies hiding. After doing a couple more rounds around the area they immediately report the place is clear for that moment.

"There's no one else present, young master."

"Is that so. Good." the young boy answers with a cold and detached voice.

Without paying to his heavily injured body the boy shakily walks and starts to search around the place. He tries to remember the place three years ago where he glimpses the final moments of his savior. He couldn't help but bit his lips remembering his hopelessness and uselessness back then.

"Young Master, would you like us to help you search for the corpse?" Looking at the ashen and bloody appearance of their young master they couldn't help but be worried and quickly want to give their young master a helping hand.

The young boy halted in his search and thinks about the suggestion. He looks at his body battered and full of wounds and sighs. Knowing how his body is barely holding up he reluctantly agrees with his hidden guards' suggestion. No matter how much he wants to prove himself he could do it by himself he knows it's better to put his pride aside and finding the corpse of savior sooner takes priority.

"Yeah. The faster we find him the better. I owe him too much already," with his voice thick of mixed emotion, the young boy answers with his head looking down. No matter how hard he tries to hide his emotion, it can't help that he's a bit emotional since he is only ten years old.

"Young Master, it's our fault and not yours that he died! Please stop feeling guilty about it." looking at their young master who looks so fragile at that moment, they couldn't stop themselves from trying to comfort him. They know how much their young master has struggled through hell like training for the past three years without complaint. Their young master who was cheerful and happy-go-lucky turned out to be a cold and aloof person after *that* incident.

"How can that be? It was my own naive and foolish self that cost him his life. A gallant and skillful person like him could've passed through the battlefield with little or no problem but it just so happens that he had to protect me a complete stranger while doing so that made him lose his life." the shakiness in the young boy's voice is obvious when he replied.

"Young master-" desperate plea of the young boy resounded through the area. But he quickly it cut off. With a stern gaze towards his guards,

"Enough, it's my fault period. Let's stop wasting time by arguing about it. Nothing would change the fact that he is dead and I'm the cause. I'm the cause why his niece his only family is now alone in this world. It's a sin I have to atone for the rest of my life."
