Acting class (End)

Grace, Sam, and Daniel stood in shock.

"Who does he thin-"

"Stop, " said Marianne. "He's right. I don't love you, I just hate her with all of my existence."

"What? Are you break-"

Marianne cut him off again. "Yes, I am breaking up with you. Doing this won't give me any pleasure anymore."

She glared at Grace. "Don't think this is over yet. I'll make you drown in pain one day. Just wait."

Marianne stomped off, not forgetting to make a threatening gesture towards Grace.

Daniel stood there shocked. He had given up so much for the woman he loved and pampered her. Despite his accommodating and servant like behavior, he had failed to make her fall in love with him. She seemed to be unmoved by his actions, crippling his ego and self confidence. It showed on his face. The face of a heart broken and crushed man.

Grace looked amazed. "I never thought about it that way and that Marissa would actually take his words seriously."

She turned towards the broken Daniel. "Hey Marco, you wanna know why you don't have her heart despite catering to her every whim?"

Daniel perked up. "Please tell me," he begged.

"The reason is because of that very fact. From what I can tell she's in love in a man who is very different from you."

"Who is it?!"

"Your brother."

"MY WHAT?!"

"Your brother."

"What? Why? We both are equally good looking. We have the same amount of background. Same amount of wealth? Why does she love him and not me?" Daniel asked bitterly.

Grace looked at him and smiled to herself, preparing for his suffering. "It's all in the attitude and the way he carries himself you know."

"He isn't like a typical vieux riche. He doen't Flaunt his parent's money or act all high and mighty, unlike you."

"So being rich is bad?"

"No, acting rich is. You don't think she hasn't met enough young rich players like you?"

"So that's it? That's why she doesn't love me? Over something so simple?" Daniel seemed like he was about to break down, his voice hoarse.

"That's not all. He is kind, humble, willing to try other things, giving, and doesn't treat others with prejudice like you do."

Every feature Grace ticked off seemed to deal a great blow to Daniel. He fell to his knees and held his hands to his face.

"I only acted like that because I thought she'd like it. She dated guys like that, so I imitated it. And then she dated me. I was happy and kept the act going. I guess I've missed my chance."

"Aw, r/feelsbadman, but you being so pitiful doesn't change the fact that I hate you for doing those horrible things to me." Grace walked away, an extra bounce in her step, leaving Daniel kneeling on the curb.

Daniel stood slowly and staggered away, signaling the end of the act. Mr. Roger clapped for them and high fives them all before rushing off to view the other people's skits.

"Wow Sam, you really tore into us. Even though you weren't actually talking to us, you've wounded me," said Marianne.

"Oh, sorry," said Sam, flustered.

"You know, there's something you can do to make up for it."

"Hm? What?"

"Give me a little kiss," Marianne smirked, and offered her plump lips to Sam.

Sam backed away, awkwardly. Grace covered Marianne's mouth in an effort to protect Sam.

"Marianne!" she chided.

Right after she said that, she quickly jerked her hand away from Marianne's mouth.

"Did you just like my hand?" she asked.

"Yep, nyeheheh," Marianne smirked at Grace.

Grace's beautiful face contorted into one of disgust as she tried to wipe her hand off on Marianne. Marianne evaded, Grace chasing after her.

"Marianne, come here, I don't need your spit!"

On the sidelines, Mr. Roger offered a tissue to Grace and held out a bottle of hand sanitizer. Grace gratefully accepted it and thanked him before she viciously scrubbed at her hand and pumped generous amounts of hand sanitizer on her hand.

"I don't know why you are doing that, you know, that could have sold for hundreds on Ebay," joked Marianne.

"Why don't you do that then?" Grace huffed.

"I would never lower myself to that level," said Marianne as she mimicked a courtlady, her hand on her chest.

"Are you going to say sorry?" asked Grace, her hands on her hip.

"Sorryyyy."

"I'll take it." Grace turned back to Sam and Daniel. "Sorry about that. I'm a bit of a germaphobe and we like to joke around a lot."

"No it's fine, me and Daniel act like that too sometimes."

Then Mr. Roger clapped rhythmically and the class repeated after him, quieting down.

"I'm sorry if you haven't finished your skit yet, but class is almost over and I'd like to compliment you all for doing such a great job. One of the skits in particular. Grace, Marianne, Sam, and Daniel did a wonderful job with professional level acting and seamless improvisation together. I'll give you guys 100 points. And since the rest of the class was also wonderfull, I'll give you guys 10 points also. You are all dismissed! Go have lunch kiddos!"

"Do you guys want to eat lunch with me and Grace?" Marianne asked as they packed up.

"That would be nice," said Daniel.

"There are going to be a couple of other people too if that's okay," said Grace.

"The more the merrier," said Sam, shrugging.

"Then off we go!"
