"No problem George."
"Oh yeah! There is going to be a big party for the airing of the first trailer. I mean, partially, it's also to pull in investors. Some of my director friends and the other actors from Silver Castle (name of Sam's agency if you forgot). The whole cast is invited. I was going to send out the invitation by email later."
Sam thought for a moment, his long eyelashes fluttered slightly as he weighed his options. Take a break or go outside and socialize. Which one?
"When will the party be?"
George became a bit flustered when he realized that his second male lead didn't want to go to the party. Besides, he wanted to introduce Sam to a couple of his friends to both help Sam out and prove some people wrong. He had been praising Sam and bragging to his friends, and now they all expected him to be there!
"It'll be in a month. On the 15th, 5:30. Dinner is included."
Sam became slightly more motivated.
"Where is the party going to be held?"
"At my house. Please come Sam.You can even have a couple foods of your choice there!"
Sam sighed inwardly. "Okay, I'll be there. Email me the address. See you later George."
"See you later Sam. And again, thank you for today."
"No problem."
Sam rubbed his wrists as he walked to his dressing room. He hadn't done kendo in a while.
Draven still stood in the position he had been in when the scene was finished. He frowned and felt his neck for his pulse. It was normal. Why did it feel like his heart sped up earlier then?
He shrugged it off and headed to his changing room. He caught up with Sam and saw him rubbing his wrists.
"Hey, are you okay?"
"Yeah, just a little strain."
"Let me get you some ice for that."
Sam shook his head frantically. "No, no, no. It's fine. It'll be healed tomorrow when I wake up. You don't need to go through the trouble to do that for me. Thank you though."
"How long have you been doing martial arts? You're very good at them."
"Thank you." Sam gave a small smile that quickly vanished. Draven thought for a moment that he would do anything to see Sam smile again, but quickly, the thought passed.
"I've been doing them since elementary school. My mom enrolled me and I started to enjoy it and just kept doing it."
"And I hear you also swim."
"Yup. Especially during the summer when it gets hot. Even though it seems like I'm an active person, I'm really not. I enjoy lazing around at home when I'm not at work or exercising. What about you? What do you do for fun or exercise?"
Draven rubbed the back of his neck, and Sam couldn't help but notice his very nice arm muscles. Nice arm muscles. Arm muscles. Muscles.
"Well I like to hike sometimes, I do some boxing, and… Hey, Sam, you still here?" Draven and chuckled and stared at Sam, who was gazing into nothing. Sam snapped out of it and saw Draven's very very nice face in front of him.
"Huh? Yeah. Just thinking about something. Go on."
"Uhm. So I like hiking, I do boxing, and I just go to the gym sometimes."
"I've always wanted to try boxing, but just did mixed martial arts since it had some boxing included. What do you do in your free time?"
"I don't have much to do in my free time, so I just work. Sometimes I hang out with friends. That's it. Not much huh?"
"You don't watch TV? Read? Scroll through social media?"
"Nope, not really. Just never really got into it. I haven't wanted a show in years now that I think of it."
Sam fake gasped. "Not even your own shows?"
"I don't need to since I'm in it and know it all already. "
"But don't you want to see the final product?"
"Not really."
"Well, This time, I bet it'll be better than you think. We should watch it together."
"Really?" Draven raised an eyebrow. "I guess."
Then, Sam realized what he had said. He had basically asked Draven out on a date. And Draven basically said yes. AT that moment, both of them had realized what had happened, and the atmosphere became awkward.
"I guess. After the first season is out. I'll invite a couple of friends over, too."
There! Now it wasn't a date!
"Yeah."
"See you later. I'm gonna go change. "
They said goodbye to each other and went to their respective dressing rooms. Sam's heart was pounding. Close call!
