The Lone Wolf [Part 1]

ReliableWolf was currently climbing a small mountain close to his hometown, in the middle of the night, with no safety measures.

He didn't care if he died now.

Everything he worked for, for the majority of his life had gone to waste.

That one chance he had to fulfill his dream, had disappeared.

He didn't want to lead a normal life, he often pondered about his future, so he could figure out what he wanted to do most. And live his life to the fullest.

He wanted to become a NRBA champion.

It was the most stupid idea he had. But that impossible goal, gave his life purpose.

Why was it impossible?

He wasn't the greatest player at all, nor was he the worst. He was extremely average in both offense and defense. He couldn't shoot at all, his defense couldn't even be compared to dog shit, and his passing was like someone throwing a burning rock.

But he tried. He kept going no matter what people thought about him. He didn't care how many times he failed or how many times he had to stand up, he would never give up.

He finally became a player for NCAA on The Bronx Rats after all his hard work. The team wasn't one of the best teams out there, but was still passable.

He didn't even last one year as a player, he got eliminated in the 1st round.

No matter how hard you work, innate talent couldn't be overcome. He failed due to his communication skills in calls, his inability to quickly catch up on transitions and playing defense, and because his shooting hit the backboard at best.

His eyes had already started watering when he thought about it.

He stopped climbing just before he reached the top.

He looked up to the night sky, filled with bright stars.

"Give me a chance to fulfill all my dreams"

And...

He let go.
