Finding Daisy

My next stop was another auction. This time, my target was Daisy. Price wise I expect it to be cheap as I was paying in dollars and it was a normal's storage auction in a remote and small town.

In my last life I had bought Daisy from an fourth generation hunter for over 10K. The male was dumb and reckless. He didn't know how to maintain an artifact and drain away most of the spells and protection wards on her. But even in her half broken form she was still able to protect me during the critical years of war.

The auctioneer was an old cowboy. He look very warn but was very professional,

"Everyone-line-up-we-are-going-to-start! Five-lots! No-touch! Just-looking! Bid-with-your-hands-Up! Highest-bidder-wins!"

Once the door of the first storage unit was opened, people all started their investigation. In the first unit, there were the six Yamahas. They look fine but there was no aura.

Everyone saw the Yamahas and were excited. I just look on as they bid.

"One hundred, one hundred dollars is the starting price! Is there anyone who's willing to bid two hundred, two hundred dollars…"

"One thousand dollars!" someone shouted, bumping up the price.

"Very well, this sunglasses-wearing gentleman has raised the price to one thousand dollars! One thousand! Anyone bidding One thousand one hundred? Anyone?" the auctioneer asked as he pointed towards the back.

I turn to look sure enough it was the hunter. It would seem that hunting artifacts was sort of like beast hunting, as he seem to be enjoying himself very much.

"Yes!"

"Two thousand" another person shouted,

The auctioneer pointed towards him, "The price has just skyrocketed to two thousand dollars. Two thousand dollars, now…"

The hunter jump the bid to five thousand. To the immortal, normal money was easy money if there knew what they were doing, it was easy as long as the counsel doesn't get involved you could do almost anything thing.

Strangely, the hunter look like he won the lottery when the bid was called and he showed his card. I was curious.
