World Of Gigantis: Aser The Gambit
Beasts had unlocked their System during the Ancient Era, and were once the rulers of the world. A catastrophe had caused them all to go into slumber, ushering in the Venture era where humanity started leaving their settlements to explore. As civilization progressed and tensions rose, humanity fought with themselves for the large swathes of territory. Near the end of the Conquer era, the beasts started awakening from their slumber and pushed humanity to the brink of destruction. Through efforts from humanity's top leaders, the system was unlocked for man, and thus began the era of Enlightenment.
The goal of everyone in this era is to get enlightened, to seek Ascension. Now every child, every family, every influence seek to be an Ascended like the heroes of their world.
Aser, an Unknown child raised in an orphanage in the Southern Seas. Like others, on his 7th birthday, the system had awakened in his mind, but he realizes he's special. As he explores the mysteries of the System, our protagonist strives to excel, to prove his worth in the world of Gigantis, to find his parents and to figure out the path to Ascension.
So far, I am very intrigued with where this story will go! The author does a great job getting you invested in the main character quickly and you feel you are already cheering him on! I appreciate that even in the first few chapters you can sense the depth of the world you are about to discover. Another thing to appreciate is the unique approach to the world and the use of the "System" which I find fascinating. There are a few places where further editing would be helpful, but for me, as long as the story has me hooked, I can look past that and still really enjoy it. Keep it up, can't wait to read more!
Hey guys, The Author here. My username is Acenovember, but y'all can call me Moon. I've been wanting to write for a while and finally had the guts to put this story out there. It's an original, and the inspiration for it is from all the books I've read on here and everywhere else. I love the fantasy genre, and Systems make me feel that stories are better fleshed out. Please let me know if you have any feedback or criticism, I would really appreciate it.
As of 16th August, 2018 - Chapters: 18 Writing Quality 5/5 : I've not noticed a single grammatical error thus far, superb English. Stability of Updates 5/5 : I've been following since there were only 4 chapters and there have been no missed updates so far. Hopefully it remains so in the future. Story Development 5/5 : Story has been developing quite nicely. No retarded/unreasonable scenarios. Steady pace, not too fast nor too slow - the author does not bore you with too many details, but does not leave things vague with too few. Character Design 5/5 : The characters introduced thus far have been few but interesting - no dumb young masters talking smack 24/7, people with proper agendas and methods to fulfill them. It seems the MC will take the route of a strategist with decent combat potential rather than the usual "I KILL YOU!" MC with all brawn, no brain and tons of plot armor. World Background 4/5 : Too few chapters released thus far and given the pace of the story and character developments the little bit of world background we've been given was detailed enough to understand what's what in the story thus far, but otherwise too little info to understand the world the novel takes place in. 4/5 'cause hey, can't leave a perfect review otherwise the author might become complacent and lazy ;) All in all, very much looking forward to this novel and I recommend the novel to everyone who DOESN'T like sadistic assholes for MCs. <insert McDonalds catch phrase here>
Loving the main character, the system seems interesting, and the story is progressing at a perfect pace. Its for sure got my attention and a stone a day for now.
