Citadel of Elon
Humans have become a space-faring race, traveling from planets to planets, galaxies to galaxies and from one part of the universe to another. Their bodies are heavily modified through genetic engineering that gives them super-human abilities. At galactic scale, this sort of traveling is possible due to the breakthrough technologies that allow faster-than-light travel. Rebellious groups have sprouted across the galaxies that threaten the peace of the universe. Dark artificial intelligence halts the pace of human expansion. The boundary between machines and humans blur with increasingly sophisticated cyborgs. So, what happens when a deep-space exploration spaceship carrying a group of human and humanoid scientists encounters a beacon from a far away earth-like planet? Encoded within the call of distress is a plead for help. Will the space crews be able to help those stranded people and once again restore faith in humanity?
I like the idea and where it seems to be going. As a sci-fi fan I would love to see this story grow! There general format and grammar things that need a little cleaning up but it’s a fun story to read.
