The Beast Hunt ( part III )

"Bang."

Commander Tian's broadsword crashed against the white-winged tiger's claws. This was the most primal fighting method amongst two strong opponents. The woods around them trembled as if there was an earthquake. The white-winged tiger's huge body was sent flying away by the impact. Commander Tian was hit as well causing him to fly into the sky then fell down on the ground. After a few seconds, he got up and stood firmly. His imposing manner rose tenfold and his eyes were filled with fighting intent.

Looking at its claws, the white-winged tiger's bloodthirsty eyes were now filled with shock. It looked at Commander Tian who is a few meters away from him with a little fear in its eyes. That sword attack actually had chopped its claws. The white-winged tiger retracted its claws and licked the injured former claw with its tongue.

" I'm not done with you filthy beast."Roared commander Tian as he made his next attack.

" Sword python Slashed."

" Swish."

Suddenly, the tip of his broadsword turned into a huge halo python made of wind battle qi. The huge halo python made of battle qi energy suddenly opened his mouth trying to swallow the white-winged tiger as commander Tian launched off the ground towards the white-winged tiger at a high speed like an arrow. A 7th rank warrior can project their battle qi energy externally, and then use their attribute to congeal a shaped attack either with a weapon or bare hand.

" Roar."

Looking at commander Tian who was rushing toward it, the white-winged tiger immediately became mad. It roared out loud and spat out dozens of blue beams like they were sharp swords or wind blades that swiftly charged out to meet the incoming sword python attack.

" Booms."

The powerful attacks detonated, erupting into a defeating explosion. The residual of energies spread out everywhere and frightened the man known as Fei who was looking at the fight from the distance. If they were to compare strength and amount of energy, the white-winged tiger was on a higher level than Commander Tian who just broke through the 7th rank not too long ago, nonetheless, he was still able to fight on a standstill with the white-winged tiger.

Because there were simply too many wind blades, over ten of them still landed on Commander Tian's body.

" Swish! Swish! Swish!"

The wind blades slashed at commander Tian's body that was enshrouded with battle qi pushing him backward. The wind blades still injured him despite his body being enshrouded by battle qi, and the reason was simple, he used most of his battle qi to attack and left a little bit for defense.

While Commander Tian was looking at the blood gushing out of his body,

" Swoosh."

Out of nowhere, a fierce tiger claw was approaching toward his throat at a high speed. The white-winged tiger was simply too fast and too sly. He was extremely agile despite losing its right wing. While Commander Tian was distracted by his injury, it took the initiative to attack him at that time.

Commander Tian's mistake was to meet the tough head-on with toughness with the white-winged tiger. Not only, the white-winged tiger was a minor level higher than him, the white-winged tiger was known for his speed. In terms of strength and speed, Commander differs too far from the white-winged tiger despite losing its right wing. Even though the white-winged tiger was at its weakest moments, it is not something an early 7th rank warrior can handle.

" blazing arrow."

Before the white-winged tiger's attack can even reach Commander Tian's body. A dozen of fire arrows was already closing on him. Without wasting any time, it dodged the incoming fire arrows by flapping its left wings which propelled him away from the fire arrows attack's range.

" I'll take it from here Tian, you've been fighting nonstop throughout the Beast Hunt. You are not in your best condition now." Said the city lord looking at the white-winged tiger with his Eyes filled with killing intent.

Of course, the white-winged tiger wouldn't give up so easily. The white-winged tiger bellowed an anger as it charged towards the city lord. It can't believe this damn human spoiled its good deed. It was this close in killing that other human but that other wretched human had to sneak attack him. Although its movement seemed too clumsy, due to its massive size and the lost of its right wing, it traveled a huge distance with every step it took. With each step, it left a small crater-like hoof print on the ground.

Looking at the white-winged tiger charging toward him, the City lord remains undaunted in the face of such powerful beast. However, when the white-winged tiger saw that puny human doesn't move, it started to display a happy expression. He couldn't believe that stupid human was going to let him get close to him,

He is a beast and close quarter combat is one of its strong points. It suddenly increased his speed to its limit and accelerated toward the city lord.

" Earth Flame."

Suddenly, the city lord tapped his magic staff into the ground slightly. A strong fluctuation of magic leaked out from the ground in front of the city lord. Not even a second later, the surrounding of the city lord gradually changed into a flame region. It was like Scorching hot magma as fire sprang out from beneath the ground and the region around the white-winged tiger became a flame world as well.

The white-winged tiger, which had been charging at a high speed toward the city lord, had come to a sudden halt while simultaneously letting out a roar of both rage and pain because his feet were being burned by that damn earth flame. While it was trying to escape from the fire region's range.

A small reddish ball of fire appeared on top of the city lord's magic staff. He waved the small ball of fire into the air which kept on glowing brighter than ever.

" Ultimate fireball."

Said the city lord softly,

" bang,"

Suddenly, with a large sound, a huge ball of flame was hovering up in the sky. The fireball kept on expanded with every second. In a breath time, the ball of fire started to enlarge more rapidly and quickly enveloped the whole area where the white tiger was standing.

" it's time go to hell you bastard."

" swoosh."

The ball of fire that was more than twice the tiger's size suddenly was falling on top its head at a high speed. Looking at the incoming ball of fire in the sky, the white-winged tiger couldn't help feel like hell had just come for him. His muscles and flesh were quivering. A sense of dread appeared in its eyes when it saw the huge ball of fire was a few centimeters away from its head, and there's no way it'll be able to get out the attack range in time, his eyes were filled with resentment and hatred.

" Boom."

The Earth shuddered and a huge explosion was heard. The huge ball of flame was like a sphere trapping the white-winged tiger inside while burning it. The white-winged tiger issued a Roar and tried to use its wind magic attack to get the flame away from it however with no avail. his tough fur, as well as its flesh, were being burned and its body was rapidly beginning to shrink. The city lord magic spell had been simply too vicious. Despite trying hard to escape from the sphere of fire, its body was still being burned rapidly.

Roughly sixty seconds later, the fire no longer burned, and the heat on the ground was slowly decreasing. An enormous crater many meters in sized appeared where the ball fire was. Deep inside the crater, the city lord finally caught sight of the white-winged tiger. At this moment, it didn't have the mighty appearance of a 7th rank magical beast which it had before, rather it looked like an extremely overcooked meat. It was taking its last breath as it was on the verge of death.

After making sure the white-winged tiger was dead, he took out a small bag filled with magical beasts core and threw it to the man known as Fei.

"Bother Fei, can you dig out the beast core and put it in that bag for me. Commander Tian is bleeding badly and looked so tired as well. I'll have to take him to the safe zone as fast as possible to treat his wounds." Said the city lord as he moved toward the injured Tian.

Fei received the small bag from the city lord with his eyes glimmer with greed. He walked toward the dead white-winged tiger while pulling out a small battle knife from his waist and dig out the huge core of the tiger which gave off a faint blue luster energy. He threw the magical beast core into the small bag.

After Completing these tasks, he followed the city lord as he was returning back to the safe zone which he left his personal guards as well as his family.
