Heavenly Tribulations (I)

As the huge maelstrom appeared in the center of the dark sky, various serpentine electric sparks that had previously appeared quickly got absorbed in quick succession by the maelstrom which formed a huge purple and red tribulation cloud that was flickering with flashes of lightning.

All those signs pointed out that the heavenly tribulation has come which proved that Longwei was truly going to transcend and becomes a Saint being as long as he passes this tribulation.

What did Saint beings mean?

It meant to be born from the heavens and from nature. It meant ones has shed his mortal skin and become a transcend being which was no longer a mortal. Generally speaking, warriors and mages only had battle qi or mana in their bodies which flowed through their entire body, allowing them to reach a quick and agile state or cast spell. it allowed them to live longer than a regular mortal but their lifespan will never exceed that of 200 years even if that person were a grandmaster rank expert.

But a Saint being was different, after reaching the Saint rank, their entire body would be reborn, whether it was their bones, muscles, blood and internal organs, everything would receive the baptisms of the heavens and nature. Their mortal vessel will fall away while their saint body will form. Not only that, they will be able to form their elemental nascent soul which was like an infant or miniature person resided in a person's sea of consciousness. The elemental nascent soul could be a fire elemental soul or earth, water, ice etc. it depended on whether the person in question was a fire mage or warrior with a fire battle qi. Furthermore, they will be able to absorb the world energy and refine them into their own saint elemental energy.

Below the Saint rank, a fire mage or warrior with fire battle qi could only absorb the fire particle energy in the surrounding while the others just stay untouched when that person is meditating, which in turn make it harder for a person to advance unless they could find a suitable place where fire particle energy was denser or concentrated while the second method was beast core. The world energy comprises but rather a kind of distinct, scattered energy fluctuation __ which people called magic elements. All those energies combined forming the world energy. When a person breakthrough the Saint rank, they will able to absorb the world energy wether, it was fire particles energy, water, earth, wind and transform them into their own saint elemental energy due to their elemental nascent soul which act as a converter.

" Heavenly tribulations." Seeing the tribulation cloud in the sky, the four saint rank experts blurted out simultaneously. They all had a different expression on their faces when they saw that savage youngster has attracted the heavenly tribulation because they knew what it meant, they know that a new Saint rank expert was about to be born in the Archaic continent,

As for the Yang Empire Crown prince, he was mad while his body was radiating a boundless killing intent when he saw that. He had this feeling that this person was going to be his greatest nightmare somehow. He didn't know why he felt that way but his guts told him to kill that person or his life was going to miserable in the future. However, he couldn't because if he dared to barge in while that person was going through the heavenly tribulation, he would turn into ashes or a scorched meat. When going through a tribulation, if a person rather than the person in questions budge in or try to help, the heavenly tribulation will double maybe killing the person going through the tribulations and the other person as well, which was why nobody can help another person to pass a heavenly tribulation. After thinking for a while, the crown prince flew away as fast as lightning in the other direction.

He knew that he won't be able to kill that person or the other three Saint experts encircled him, not to mention reinforcement was underway and that damn human beast has killed his aid which put him in a tight spot, so he left. Not to mention, that person might join hands with the other three saints once he passed the heavenly tribulations. He had already got everything he needed. Furthermore, he could make a comeback when he gets stronger so why gamble his life. It has to be said, the stronger a person gets, the more afraid he was of death. As for the other three human Saints, they didn't give a chase, because if a Saint rank expert such as the Crown prince wanted to run away, there's no way they could stop him unless there was Saint King rank expert in the mix.

Seeing that Longwei was going to pass the heavenly tribulations, Sylvia that was a little far away was worried, without wasting any more time moved closer to protect Longwei just in case somebody was trying to budge in or attack Longwei. As for Longwei, he stood there calmly waiting for the heavenly tribulation. There was no trace of fear in his eyes but joy because he had absolute confidence in his physique and knew that he will be able to pass this tribulation with ease. Who else besides him can have this degree of confidence when passing a heavenly tribulation. No matter what kind of expert, before passing a heavenly tribulation prepared many defensive treasures to help them pass it while Longwei was going to use his bare body to resist the heavenly tribulation. One should know that people with different power levels or bloodlines will experience a different type of heavenly tribulations. Since Longwei was much more powerful than a regular 10th rank peak expert and even can fight with a weak saint rank expert while at the same time possessing a powerful bloodline, so one could imagine how terrifying his heavenly tribulation will be.

" I wonder powerful my heavenly tribulation will be? Also once I passed this heavenly tribulation, I will have a lifespan of a thousand years." Said Longwei as he raised his head to look at the tribulation cloud in the sky. Furthermore, there was unexpectedly a faint smile on his face. That faint smile was because he was going to be Saint rank expert once he passes this heavenly tribulation. One has to understand, Longwei came from Earth and had read many novels and always dreamed of becoming an immortal that could live forever, travel across the universe and creating his own legend. Alas, he couldn't do any of those things while he was on earth.

Even though his family was super rich, he was always miserable because his parents never have time for him and he was practically raised by the maids. He didn't know what familial love was until he reincarnated into this world. He never felt wanted or loved when he was on Earth, not even his parents made time for him. Sometimes, he even asked himself if he was an adopted child. As such, he spent most of the time playing games, reading novels, do drugs and other kinds of bad deeds while he was on earth. He didn't even go to school or take it seriously because there was anything that motivated him to do so because he had everything he needed. But now everything was different, he had many goals, aspirations, and motivations.

The tribulation cloud continued to roll, creating a continuous rumble of thunder. It gave off a pressure on everything in the area below it. Longwei could clearly felt the pressure exerted by it as though a huge mountain peak was pressing him down.

BOOOOMMM!

A huge rainbow thunderbolt which comprised of a bunch of lightning electric sparks in different color intertwined together shot down extremely fast from the sky. it struck at Longwei's head furiously, but Longwei didn't even bother to dodge or defend himself. He just sat there in a meditative stance letting the thunderbolt struck him.

When the thunderbolt struck him, Longwei's body was totally covered in and ran through by the rainbow thunderbolt. Soon the most interesting things happened, instead of being scattered in the air, the rainbow thunderbolt sunk in within his body as though his body was a sponge and the bolts of lightning was absorbed by him.

Inside his sea of consciousness, where the various elemental essence cores resided, the lighting elemental essence core was buzzing with joy while it was absorbing that thunderbolt and growing bigger. This lightning elemental essence core was one of the reasons why Longwei was so confident about passing the heavenly tribulations because as soon as the tribulations cloud formed in the sky, the lightning elemental essence core within his sea of consciousness was buzzing so much that Longwei thought that it was going to fly out of his sea of consciousness to eat the serpentine electric sparks that were in the sky. The lightning elemental essence core was like a kid that came from school and was starving and couldn't wait to get home because he knew his mom was cooking his favorite food when it saw the tribulations cloud in the sky.

" HAHAHAHAHA, Give me more and more."

Longwei was rather happy when he saw that the thunderbolts didn't hurt him that much. Not only that, his lightning elemental essence core was getting bigger and stronger as it was absorbing those thunderbolts. it was getting bigger and bigger, surpassing the fire and the other elemental essence cores within his sea of consciousness. He had his doubted before but he was hundred percent sure about his guess now. The heavenly tribulations can't hurt him. Also, he was using the residual bolts of lightning to train his body while the majority it was being gobbled up by the lightning elemental essence core.

The bones within his entire body were emitting a series of clacking noises as some of the Thunderbolts were running through his muscles and cells. His body was already powerful enough but because of the baptism of the lightning, it's getting stronger and stronger again.

At this moment, the tribulation cloud was rolling non stop in the sky as thunder continued to shoot down from the sky and blast Longwei where he was sitting. With every thunderbolt shot down from the sky, the power increased as well as the pressure.

" That's not enough, give me all you got."

Longwei's eyes flashed with excitement as he was provoking the heaven itself. Suddenly, the tribulations cloud over his head got bigger and bigger, twice of its previous size. At the same time, A huge purple thunderbolt was being formed ten times greater than the previous ones and the pressure of the tribulations cloud multiplied tenfold. The most surprising thing was, the purple lighting thunderbolt formed a huge fist as though it was going to squash Longwei. It was as if the heaven has heard Longwei's word and was angered by him.

" Shit, I am in for it now. I was just joking with you grandpa Heaven," said Longwei as he was looking at the mega fist formed by the purple thunderbolt ready to squash him with a worried look on his face.
