Ark

"Ark," Said Longwei as he watched Scarlet and Sylvia fly out of the Kougala demon beast up in the sky.

At his words, on the blank front of the tall black stone appeared the word, 'Ark', written in gold.

[ Ding.....Congratulations! For the establishment of the host's first village, Ark, the host is awarded 1000 Territory Points.]

Once Longwei named the village, a faint golden light shot out from the black rock and sank into his body. At the same time, another four giant stones rose from the ground in each of the four cardinal directions, miles apart from each other, with the original black stone located in the middle.

He now felt a sense of connection with the huge mountain as well as the surrounding jungle. However, that connection ended beyond the four giant stones that surrounded the area. Anything encompassed within the four giant stones was considered Longwei's territory, while anything beyond that was not.

"It's like a video game," Said Longwei. He felt like he was in a dream as he looked at the black stone with gold letters in front of him.

[Ding... Congratulations! For the establishment of the host's first village, Ark, the Lord's manor will automatically be built. Additionally, the host can choose four village buildings to be built by the system. Each building is upgrade-able. Any additional buildings to the village will need to be built manually without the help of the Mystic Artifact.]

As Longwei read the blue screen that appeared in front of him, there was a burst of golden light next to him which caused a wooden courtyard to rise from the ground. Longwei smiled happily as he watched all these changes taken place.

"Big brother, did it work?"

While Longwei was lost in his own thought, the two sisters had landed next to him.

"Yeah, it worked. From now on this place will become our new home," answered Longwei as he came back from his senses and smiled at the two sisters. As he was interrupted by their arrivals, he did not yet have the chance to choose what kind of buildings he would build with his rewards. He had a few ideas, but he needed to think about it some more, as these buildings would be upgrade-able similar to the Lord's manor. These four buildings would become the base of the village as it grew into a city or an empire in the future, so he needed to think very carefully about his choice.

"Congratulations big brother," Said Scarlet and Sylvia simultaneously, one with a cold and melodious tone while the other used a gentle and alluring tone.

"It is thanks to you Scarlet that we managed to find such a suitable place," said Longwei as he nodded his head and gave her a smile from the bottom of his heart. Scarlet did not say anything, but she nodded her head back.

"Where is the little monkey, Sylvia?" asked Longwei.

"Hehehe, big brother, the little monkey seems to have a thing for that female elf commander, so he stayed behind with her," Answered Sylvia with a playful tone.

"No wonder he was so quiet during our trip and did not even bother me once."

The little monkey was usually very talkative, but after Longwei brought the dark elf commander with him, he became quiet and attentive as if he was an exemplary guy or something.

"By the way, what is the name of the village big brother?" Asked Sylvia.

"Ark," answered Longwei with a prideful smile on his face as though it was the greatest name ever.

"Ark."

"It sounds so weird for a village name. Why did you name it that?" Questioned Sylvia.

Scarlet paid close attention to him as though she was thinking the same thing as Sylvia. They both knew that Longwei was the little lord of Red Cloud City before it was taken over by the Yang Family, so it was understandable for him to name his first village Red Cloud. However, they had no idea why he chose Ark instead

"Well, the name Ark was something that I took from a story in my previous life, but the meaning is a little different. In the original story, Ark was the name of the vessel used to save two of every kind of animal as well as the family of the person that created the vessel from a world-engulfing flood."

"However, I named the village Ark because it is a place where all the races can live together without any discrimination, whether they're demons, magical beasts, Elves, or humans. There will come a day when all the races in the universe will come to pay tribute to me. Whether they are gods or devil, they all shall prostrate before me. And the name Ark is for the remnant of all the races that will survive the coming universe-engulfing war because it won't be a peaceful endeavor."

The overbearing words coming from their big brother astonished the two sisters. Those words sounded so arrogant that it was almost to the point of being ignorant. However, as he was speaking, both his aura and the look in his eyes swiftly changed. These changes caused the two sisters to be intimidated as their heart shivered with a chilling sensation.

It wasn't that Longwei's body was emanating any killing intent or hostile aura, but as Longwei was saying those words, his body leaked a little bit of the absolute ruler aura without him noticing, which caused an instinctive primal fear to appear from the depths of the two sisters' souls.

At this moment, for some unknown reason, they did not doubt Longwei's words, as though he was capable of making the gods and the devils bow down to him. It was as if they could already envision Longwei sitting on his throne above the heavens and overseeing the entire universe.

"Well, those days are far in the distant future," Said Longwei as he reverted back to his previous self and the absolute ruler aura retracted back into his body.

"Scarlet, can you go get the Ice Queen from the Kougala demon beast for me?" Asked Longwei as he remembered her. The Ice Queen was a merchant with years of experience in managing the Auction House, so Longwei intended to ask her for some advice. Even though he had some ideas about what buildings he wanted to build, a little advice wouldn't hurt.

"Village Stats."

As she left, Longwei took the chance to check the village stats.

[Village Name: Ark ( Copper Rank) ]

[Lord: Jin Longwei ]

[Village population: 1/1000 ]

[Village Territory Area: 100 square kilometers ]

[Treasury: None ]

[Territory Points: 1000 ]

[Territorial Army: None ]

[Territory Industry: None ]

[Existing Buildings: Copper rank Lord's Manor.]

[Promotion criteria: An increase of 1000 residents, built a simple fence or wall, basic blacksmiths shop, basic market, simple farmland, basic barracks, at least 1400 residential courtyards, a small militia or army, + 2000 Territory Points.]

"Not bad," murmured Longwei as he looked at the village's stats. He really liked the way the village stats were set up. Even though the promotion criteria were a little hard to meet, it was still reasonable as those things were a necessity when it came to the village. Also, from looking at the promotion criteria he was given some more ideas on the village buildings he was going to have the system build for him.

The only thing Longwei was worried about now was finding some talented people to help him with the village's urban management as it grew. It would be both difficult and draining to manage things such as population growth, drainage, traffic, health, taxes etc. Hopefully, he would be able to find some talented mortals in this batch of people within the Kougala demon beast. He already knew that the Ice Queen was capable, but she alone wouldn't be enough.

Soon, Sylvia brought the Ice Queen with her.
