In the wilderness, hundreds of meters from the now abandoned farm.
"MUUU!" The sounds of angry cows resounded everywhere.
*Drin* *Drin* *Drin* Sound of fast-moving bells also echoed in the background, from the bells attached to the necks of the cows.
And lastly, *Tuff* *Tuff* Sounds of heavy footsteps and fatigue from a person running in front of the cows.
Having run desperately for a minute, Shu Himo started to feel signs of fatigue. He was, after all, someone who rarely walked out of his house, so his body was untrained.
"What's wrong with them? It's not like I killed any of them…" Shu Himo felt wronged. "Unless I find a way to slow them they will catch up to me in less than thirty seconds…"
Looking around in hope to find something, Shu Himo finally felt a ray of hope. While around him there was nothing, in less than 40 meters he saw the entrance of a forest, where he could use trees to hinder the cows.
40 meters…
25 meters…
10 meters...
When he was about to enter the forest, Shu Himo suddenly felt something hitting his back, and under shock, he noticed that the cows had caught up to him! He had to find a solution, or his only destiny was to get painfully killed by them.
Remembering the knowledge he obtained after reading novels, he let his instincts take over him and abruptly turned around. With a resolute gaze, he unleashed his strongest kick, only comparable to someone who never made any sport.
Luckily, his kick struck the fact of the cow, and as expected, he failed to deal any damage.
But nothing was lost, as his objective was not to hurt the cow, wanting instead to use the cow as a springboard. The thrust he gained propelled him toward the forest, making him fly away, almost crashing on a tree.
Feeling some twigs lightly scratching his right arm he broke into a cold sweat, however, his speed was not slowed, and he ultimately fell on top of a huge rock.
Colliding on the rock, a soft sound resounded from the impact as he laid on top of the rock feeling his own heart beating crazily.
A moment later, after calming down his gaze wandered around, making sure to be safe. Seeing that the rock was as high as 2 meters, he sighed in relief knowing that the cows could not reach him.
Believing that it would be enough to wait on top of it to complete the quest, Shu Himo looked toward the cows and smirked, "Haha! You wanted to kill me but look, you can't come up here, can't you?"
The cows gave him a huge scare, how could he not make fun of them in exchange? With such thought, he looked around to analyze the surrounding area.
Around the huge rock, there were only some trees with a height from 2 to 6 meters. He was initially puzzled by their small size, but after considering that they were in the outskirts of the forest he felt it made more sense.
He seated on the rock to rest for a bit, then turned to look at the cows… only to get astonished.
"CowStairs!" Letting out a scream, he noticed how the cows divided into two roles: one who lied on the floor, while another that climbed on top of the others… creating a stair made of cows, all just to reach the top of the rock!
The moment he noticed them, they had almost finished, about to climb on top of the rock!
From the start only three minutes passed, and the cows would need less than 30 seconds to come on top of the rock.
"From when are cows that smart?!" Shu Himo was dumbfounded. "Was I too good of a teacher this night?!"
As he had to wait several hours during the night Shu Himo was bored, so he had decided to teach them some 'basic knowledge' on everything to pass the time… but never did he expect that it would backfire like this!
Dumbfounded by their behavior he hesitated for a moment, however, he instantly recovered to think a plan to escape. He recalled the existence of the trees around him, and examined whether it was possible to jump safely on one of them… until he found a thick branch of the tree, about a meter and half far away from him.
When he was hesitating to jump, he suddenly heard from behind a footstep and his face paled. Due to the shock, he reflexively jumped toward the branch, and at the same time felt the air moving behind his back: a cow had almost grabbed him.
Hugging the branch of the tree with all his strength, he was about to sigh in relief when he felt every hair of his body stand, and, trusting his instinct he left the grip from the branch, falling toward the ground and landing on some bushes, saving him from the impact.
At the same moment he reached the ground, a sound of something crashing on the tree echoed, as the tree where Shu Himo stood a moment before trembled.
Looking up, Shu Himo widened his eyes, as he gazed at how a cow had her head was stuck on the tree, holding with its legs on the branches.
"Are these cows crazy?" Shu Himo felt chills on his body. If he had not jumped off the tree, the impact of the cow's head on his back would have crushed his bones.
He shook his head to dispel such a scary thought and ran into the forest, abusing the moment where all the cows were still immobilized due to their 'stair plan'.
After 2 further minutes of running, he noticed an existence which left him terrified. If the cows were demons, he was now in front of the demon king, a Bear!
Upon sight of the 3 meters high monster, Shu Himo felt like losing all his blood. Surrounded by the cows behind and the bear in front, he felt to lose all hope.
Gritting his teeth he decided to check again all the surroundings, in hope to find a way to resist. Finally, he noticed the existence of a beehive on top of a tree close to the bear.
'This is it!' Exclaiming in his mind, Shu Himo took a small stone, planning to take down the beehive. Assuming the same stance as if he were to throw a javelin, he sent the small stone flying, proceeding at high speed toward the beehive… only to miss.
He frowned and took another three small stones, and throwing them, he missed once again. Only upon throwing the fifth stone did he manage to hit the beehive, which started falling toward the ground.
Hearing the noise Shu Himo made, the bear quickly turned toward him and started running… but little did he expect to suddenly see its vision darkening, as a viscous thing fell on its head.
As it was in the middle of the path from the bear to Shu Himo, the beehive coincidentally fell on top of the bear's head. At that moment, the unlucky bear had its vision obstructed, as many bees were continuously attacking it.
Gifted of such a chance, Shu Himo did not hesitate and began to run, escaping from the cows who almost caught up to him. The terrain was filled in rocks and trees, so he could maneuver quickly even in the worst terrain, using his 'agility' to get farther from the cows.
After three minutes of running, Shu Himo's breath was heavy, as he suddenly noticed a bright light in front of him. He immediately panicked, "Why does the forest end here? What kind of forest is this small?!"
The only reason he was able to run from the cows was that he abused the terrain to his advantage… but in a open field he would have no way to resist!
Turning back to see how far the cows were, he first noticed that there were still thirty meters of distance, but upon second view he also noticed a deer looking at him with eyes filled in ridicule.
Feeling to be looked down by a deer annoyed Shu Himo, who made immediately a 90 degrees turn, shocking both the cows and the deer.
Running in that direction would increase the chance of being caught by the cows, but that was not the reason the deer was shocked… in fact, the deer was shocked because Shu Himo was running toward it with an enraged expression!
Feeling threatened, the deer immediately turned around to escape, only to find itself hit by a stone! Turning around in shock, the deer noticed that the human it was making fun of was fully armed with many small stones he collected as he escaped from the cows!
The deer was in disbelief, what was wrong with this human?
Half curious and half startled by Shu Himo's behavior, the deer did not escape and only retreated.
Meanwhile, Shu Himo barely managed to avoid the cows, saving himself from being eaten alive.
This created an extremely bizarre scene: a deer chased by a human, who was chased by tens of cows! When the divinities checked the registration from the system they were all dumbfounded!
Such situation continued for the remaining minutes until Shu Himo heard a *Ding*.
