The Banalis [C31]

"A Banalis! A sword-using ghost Monster that only spawn close to cursed items, it seems that there were here after all!"

The phrase of Lu Shela woke up Su Reji, "So you have a way to fight them?" Hoping she had a solution, he immediately asked, only to be disappointed, "We can kill the 4th rank ones, but the 5th rank is out of what we can do: I suggest we run before we all die to them."

Everyone felt that it was a good choice to run, but as they were about to start the escape they heard a nonchalant voice from a 6 years old child, "So you can fight both 4th ranks? That's great! I shall play with the big one then." Stunned, Lu Shela was about to advise him to stop but Shu Himo suddenly disappeared, startling her.

What was that speed?

A normal Mid-string Dantian Core Formation realm expert is not even half as fast as that! Are you sure you aren't joking with us and are actually a Late-string Dantian Core Formation realm expert coming here to play?

Not having anyone to answer her questions, she, together with the other two finally let go of their common-sense when thinking about Shu Himo and went to fight the other two Banalis.

Ru Seji went together with Lu Shela to fight one, while the sibling started fighting the other.

Lu Shela brought out from her storage ring a weird item: A weird looking black vacuum cleaner!

Knowing that in this place there could be Banalis they obviously readied themselves to fight against them!

Immediately turning it on she started the procedure to slowly subdue the Banalis, absorbing it into a special item inside the vacuum cleaner. "Shu Himo! We will need about 5 minutes to seal these two Banalis! If you can hold back that rank 5 we should be able to beat it together!"

She surely did not expect that Shu Himo's intention was to kill the Banalis, so she advised him to just hold on.

But how could Shu Himo not try to kill the Banalis? He just got the feeling from his scythe that he would get the second 'worthy kill' out of ten if he killed it!

But knowing that there is a whole realm of difference made this fight extremely hopeless, Shu Himo is still at Meridians Strengthening phase, how could he beat a 5th rank monster?

With a grim look, Shu Himo immediately charged at the Banalis using a stacked [Hopper], not daring to underestimate it at all. Reaching close, he was about to slash toward it, but he then thought about the fighting style from the Scythe manipulation style: Requiem Dance, and immediately used [Hopper] to distance himself from the Banalis.

As the Banalis is a specter with a consciousness vanished and a simple mind it could not think of any plan, and it just charged recklessly toward Shu Himo, could this stupidity be abused?

That's indeed not something Shu Himo was thinking, as he was completely worried about executing the Requiem Dance, not even bothering about the Banalis's IQ.

He started to clumsily rotate the scythe with his hands, almost making it fall on the ground. With a couple of tries, he finally managed to notice that the Banalis was about to behead him, startled, he immediately used a stacked [Hopper] out of reflex, jumping backward and hitting completely a poor rank 4 Banalis that was fighting against the siblings sending it flying toward the wall.

Hearing a half startled "Thank you!" from the siblings, Shu Himo immediately jumped toward the rank 5 Banalis trying to get revenge from the scare he just got, but completely failing again in the rotation of the scythe, the scythe slipped from his hands flying away toward the wall, this time not hitting anyone.

This extremely embarrassed Shu Himo, how much is lame to lose your own weapon in a fight by yourself?

This embarrassment made Shu Himo extremely angry, so he decided to focus his rage toward the rank 5 Banalis, he then immediately took back the scythe, and entered once again the state of mind of when he was greedy toward the technique of the old man Dark King Dragon: acting like if he had mastered the scythe not caring of whether the move would work or not, but with the difference that he now wanted to apply the Requiem Dance scythe manipulation style.

He now completely stopped using [Hopper] and positioned himself, holding the handle with both hands, and pointing the sharp tip of the scythe toward slightly the right of the Banalis. Suddenly, the air around him changed, as if he were a peerless expert looking down on the world.

Every person at this moment got distracted by feeling cold shivers behind their back, even both the rank 4 Banalis stopped moving to look toward Shu Himo.

The Rank 5 Banalis advanced rapidly toward Shu Himo, slashing with its sword. As an answer, Shu Himo started moving his scythe slowly toward left, meeting the slash of the sword. A sword that normally should overpower Shu Himo due to the difference in cultivation was easily diverted, hitting the ground: everyone in the hall was startled!

Shu Himo acted as if it was all normal, and, rotating the scythe with his arms and hands, slowly advanced toward the Banalis, sending a slash towards it and almost cutting it in half, obviously, being a ghost the Banalis was normally not hurt by a slash, but as the weapon that damaged it was the Scythe of Doom, the damage was semi-permanent, lowering the vitality of the Banalis.

Falling back immediately, the Banalis immediately tried to send again another slash, only to be diverted again.

Shu Himo, keeping to rotate the scythe and advancing slowly step per step, made feel an incredible pressure to everyone in the room: they all felt as if they were watching a Nascent Soul realm expert, how is that possible? Obviously, while that was the created pressure, the real fighting strength was nowhere close, but it was still enough to make everyone in the hall look at Shu Himo in awe.

Meanwhile, the Banalis tried once again to attack Shu Himo with a slash of its sword, but even if the sword was extremely fast and strong, it was still deviated easily, followed by a step and another slash from Shu Himo, which cut once again the Banalis.

Now the fight seemed more like a performance where Shu Himo was declaring the death of the Banalis, giving it a final dance with the scythe as a Requiem for its death.
