Wreaking Havoc in the Forest [C101]

Around Aura Azusa, Shu Himo and Phylia there were more than a hundred monsters, originally attracted by the space fluctuation from the teleport and now watching the three as if they were preys. The monsters' rank varies from the 5th to the 7th.

The Nascent Soul realm is divided into nine qualities:

Monster Rank 6: Strength similar to the Lower Quality Souls.

Monster Rank 7: Strength similar to the Middle-Quality Souls.

Monster Rank 8: Strength similar to the Upper-Quality Souls.

The area they were in is that of a forest, but not a luxuriant forest, and instead, one that almost seems abandoned, deprive of vegetation.

Seeing the monsters, Shu Himo did not show any sign of fear and lightly smiled, "To think that my cultivation realm would make them think of me as a prey, quite hilarious." The moment he completed his sentence, Shu Himo slowly walked toward the closest monster, a Rank 5 Gorsillra, as if he did not feel any threat from it.

The Gorsillra is a monster similar to a gorilla, but its size is way bigger, reaching even the size of a small tree.

While Shu Himo's smile may seem normal, the Gorsillra in front of his smile felt his body shiver due to the fear, and trusting its instincts it immediately began to run away.

The other monsters seeing his behavior were speechless, why is that Gorsillra running from a mere child? Not caring too much about it, they all turned toward Shu Himo, ready to attack him.

A moment later two Rank 5 Gorsillra were about to attack him, but Shu Himo abruptly vanished from their view, and instead, the only thing that they could hear was:

*Spfff*

Startled, they immediately turned toward the source of the uproar, and what they saw horrified them. The child who they deemed as weak was standing in front of the carcasses of the two Rank 5 monsters who tried to attack him, who were split in half.

Shu Himo had on his shoulders a scythe while having a calm smile, looking at all the monsters in the area as if they were already dead.

Suddenly, he vanished once again, and reappeared an instant later in front of a Rank 6 octopus monster, slashing with his scythe.

*Spfff*

The monster barely managed to react, but it still lost a tentacle.

"HUAAAARG!" Wailing in pain, the monster let out a scream. It then frantically jumped backward with the intent to signal the others to attack, but he abruptly noticed that the child vanished once again and reappeared in front of itself, slashing once again with the scythe.

*Spfff*

Coupled with the sound of meat being split in half, the Rank 6 monster died while feeling indignant of being against such a freak.

Witnessing the death of the Rank 6 monster, the other monsters felt threatened, and abruptly more than twenty monsters dashed toward Shu Himo, surrounding him.

The twenty monsters were divided into fifteen Rank 5 and five Rank 6.

Seeing them coming, Shu Himo smirked, and immediately used a stacked [Hopper_x4], completely vanishing from their view.

*Spfff*

Before anyone could realize, he reappeared in the middle of five monsters, and slashed circularly with his scythe, splitting all of them.

As if it wasn't enough, he used a stacked [Hopper_x4] once again, vanishing and reappearing in the middle of other seven monsters, splitting them in half once again.

Staring blankly at the massacre, the Rank 5 and Rank 6 monsters felt their bodies tremble in fear and ran away in a panic, not caring about anything and even resorting to crawling if needed.

The few Rank 7 monsters looked at the trio warily, unsure on how to react… if the child is able to kill all those monsters easily, doesn't it mean that the girl is able to easily kill Ranks 7? Thinking about it they could not help but shiver in agitation, and looking each other, every monster immediately retreated, running away.

Noticing that they wanted to escape, Aura Azusa flew at ten meters of altitude and smirked, "Do you really think you will leave alive after attacking us?" Raising her hand, she immediately chanted, "Solar Orb."

Suddenly, on Aura Azusa's hands appeared a small ball of fire, which quickly became bigger until reaching twenty centimeters in diameter. She then said, "If you survive against this, I will let you off just this once."

Leaving the Solar Orb mid-air, she quickly returned on the ground, where Shu Himo just completed the shield formation to defend from the blast.

Meanwhile, the monsters looking at the seemingly harmless Solar Orb felt to see their whole life scrolling in front of them, believing that they would die in the next couple seconds due to the Solar Orb. Some crouched on the ground, some hugged each other, and some continued running, but no one of them dared underestimate the Solar Orb, all of them were completely terrified by it. Clearly, their instincts were warning them of its dangerousness.

A moment later, the Solar Orb abruptly exploded, shaking the hearts of everyone.

*BOOM*

The explosion quickly increased in size, reaching various kilometers of distance, incinerating everything on its path. Every faraway monster seeing this scene felt to be watching at the end of the world and quickly hid underground, hoping not to get spotted by the one who is causing the explosion.

Only a couple of moments later did the light from the explosion finally subside, gradually clearing the view.

What was a forest before became instead a black scorched land, with many burned carcasses from the monsters on the ground. It appears that only Rank 7 monsters managed to escape, even if just barely.

Seeing the destruction, Aura Azusa and Shu Himo were startled, 'Maybe we exaggerated a bit…'
