Scum [C117]

Other than the King and his wife, their family comprised of two guys, one of 14 years old and one of 20 years old, and lastly a girl of 17 years old.

Seeing the contract they were all terrorized, what was this? Was the child in front of them a god?

Not daring to make him wait they immediately accepted the contract, with eyes filled in fear, devoid of rage. After all, how could they be angry at such a divine being? Wouldn't that be courting death?

Seeing their faces, Tao Chao and Du Kun knew that they were in front of that contract and were surprised, was Shu Himo really going to spare them?

[This was unexpected, is the User planning to spare them? Usually, the User would not beat an eye and just kill them.]

Hearing the system, the eyes of Shu Himo were cold, 'This is a test.'

[A test?]

'Exactly.'

Meanwhile, the wife of the King seeing the contract immediately refused it, she would not give up on her husband for any reason at all, even against the god-like being in front of her.

Seeing her refusal Shu Himo lightly smiled and took his scythe, walking closer to them.

The King and his wife didn't move and closed their eyes, they knew that there was nothing they could do to resist in this situation.

Posing the blade of the scythe behind their neck, Shu Himo smiled, "Since you tried to attack my Kingdom, I will now execute both of you. However, seeing how you both wanted to sacrifice yourself for the survival of your family, you have my respect."

Terminated his sentence, he cut their head with the scythe, giving them a painless death.

Hearing the notification of gaining yet another 'worthy kill', Shu Himo did not feel in the least happy and had instead an extremely cold gaze.

Staring at the three who accepted the contract, he saw that they did not show any reaction by looking at their dead parents and did not have any rage within their expression, which was instead filled in anxiety; like if the death of the King and the Queen didn't matter, as long as they lived.

With a gaze that appeared colder each second passed, Shu Himo walked closer to Phylia and whispered in her ears: "Kill them, there is no need for scum to live."

Everyone in the room felt the coldness he was emitting and shivered in horror, compared to now, the usual coldness Shu Himo had when killing someone seemed almost childish, he now appeared instead as a Demon King who came from hell, with the only aim to eradicate any form of life.

Even Aura Azusa felt highly threatened by this coldness, for the first time in her life. She wondered, why was he provoking such a feeling?

However, Phylia was neither shocked nor frightened. She slowly raised her right hand to touch the face of Shu Himo, "Master, calm down please." A radiant smile grew on her lips as she continued, while her voice softened, "There is no need to worry about that scum, I will take care of them."

Feeling the touch of her hand, Shu Himo's coldness gradually subsided, and in its place a soft smile appeared. He then slowly raised his own hand to touch Phylia's, "Thank you, I'm sorry I was losing the control of my feelings."

Slowly shaking her head, Phylia revealed a sweet smile, "No matter what happens I will be forever here for Master."

Shu Himo felt warm growing in his heart. Never would he have thought before that a single sentence could be this reassuring.

Gently nodding, Phylia walked toward the three, looking at them with an enraged expression. To think that they dared make her master feels like that, unforgivable!

"Stop, what are you going to do? You promised that we could live, didn't you?"

Not answering, Phylia continued walking toward them.

*Tep*

*Tep*

Only the sounds from her steps resounded, everything else was silent.

"Wait! We a- Urgh!" The girl, suddenly spurted blood and felt everything inside of her in excruciating pain, what was happening? Falling on the floor on her knees, she died an instant later: the contract killed her the moment she tried to reveal it.

Seeing her death everyone was shocked, what happened? However, not having anyone that could explain, no matter how much they wanted to know what happened it was impossible to know.

Only Tao Chao and Du Kun appalled at the sight, realizing that it was due to the contract.

Phylia, witnessing her death didn't care and acted as if nothing happened. Walking closer to the remaining two, she slowly morphed her fingers into sharp tips.

Failing to withstand the pressure, one of the two took out a sword and slashed toward Phylia, however, the sword abruptly stopped.

Under the young man's shocked gaze, Phylia calmly stopped his sword with two fingers, and stepped once again toward him.

*Pl*

A soft sound resounded everywhere, and everyone noticed what happened: the hand of Phylia stabbed through the young man's stomach.

Widening his eyes in despair, the young man suddenly felt Phylia's hand slowly morphing, expanding quickly and occupying every space inside of his body, blocking its functioning.

A moment later, he fell on the floor devoid of life, with eyes still completely open in fear.

Turning toward the last remaining, Phylia slowly walked closer.

Scared, he tried to escape, but Phylia suddenly appeared behind him and stabbed through his stomach, repeating the same process of before.

He then fell on the floor, dead.
