Meanwhile, unbeknown to the commander's fear, Shu Himo, Aura Azusa and Phylia arrived in front of an enormous mansion.
"So this is the place where that person lives?"
Hearing the question from Shu Himo, Aura Azusa and Phylia shrugged their shoulders, how were they supposed to know?
Seeing their reaction Shu Himo was dumbfounded, 'I did not ask to you, I was talking by myself!'
Sighing, he knocked on the enormous wooden gate.
*Knock* *Knock*
As if answering his knocks, the gate opened by itself, revealing a green garden in front of the three.
Regarding the gate they had no reaction at all, after seeing the absurdity within the academy, why would they be surprised by a self-opening gate?
Walking inside, they arrived in front of the entrance of the mansion and knocked once again on the main door.
As a response, the main door opened by itself.
Seeing how easy was enter Shu Himo was bewildered, 'The person who lives here doesn't care if someone enters for no reason?'
[Maybe the person has a reason for letting anyone enter.]
Pondering for a moment, Shu Himo replied, 'Indeed, you are right… maybe that person is someone who has nothing to do and want to talk with someone to pass time…'
[The system has no idea how the User reached that conclusion.]
'It was just a joke!'
[If the User says so.]
Ignoring the sarcastic message from the system, Shu Himo walked inside the mansion, in a spacious hall, followed by Aura Azusa and Phylia.
The entrance hall was completely white, and it appeared to not have any stair, only presenting an enormous cubic room.
They were all puzzled, how were they supposed to proceed?
All of a sudden, a lazy voice resounded everywhere, "Welcome… I prepared a little game for you three... if you beat it I will let you enter in the area you are aiming."
Hearing the lazy voice Shu Himo and Phylia were confused, the voice sounded familiar, yet they could not identify who the person was.
Suddenly, the atmosphere in the hall appeared to change in a dangerous one, giving chills to the three.
Startled, they looked up, only to see over 10 small green orbs falling from the ceiling, rapidly dropping toward the ground. Every orb gave the same feeling as the Solar Orb used by Aura Azusa, so they dared not underestimate them.
Promptly reacting, Shu Himo took out his Essence Qi Clock and began to study the Essence Qi flow in the hall, while Aura Azusa raised her hand toward the small orbs, and chanted, "Ice Corruption."
*Fzzz*
Everything appeared to freeze, the floor, the walls, the ceiling, and the orbs, slowing down the speed of everything.
Using the time obtained from the spell used by Aura Azusa, Shu Himo tried to impale the formation rods in the ground… but he abruptly noticed that the ground was too hard! The formation rods weren't sharp enough to pierce it!
Frowning, he looked toward Phylia, "The ground is too hard!"
Nodding, Phylia immediately dashed to every point Shu Himo pointed, and in each one, the moment she placed her feet on it… *PRR!* Morphing the sole of her feet into many sharp spikes she broke the ground, creating a fissure that weakened the ground.
When morphing, while Phylia was not yet able to recreate the same sharpness as the Scythe of Doom, compared to the formation rods, she could create far sharper spikes.
Seeing the result Shu Himo smiled and threw every formation rod in the fissures, preparing the formation. Afterward, clapping his hands, the formation abruptly activated, creating a shield on top of the three: it was a shield formation!
A moment later, the numerous orbs touched the ground and abruptly exploded, blinding everyone with their light.
*BOOM!*
The explosions expanded quickly, causing everything inside the hall to appear completely green, however, even with the door still open the explosions weren't able to expand outside, like if they were restricted by an absolute power.
Abruptly, inside the formation, the three noticed that on the shield some cracks were starting to appear and were shocked, was the shield going to break?
Only a couple of seconds later, the green light gradually subsided, and everything was revealed once again: Aura Azusa, Shu Himo and Phylia managed to resist!
They were standing up in the middle of the shield formation, which appeared about to crumble after sustaining the numerous explosions.
Seeing that they managed to resist, they all smiled happily. They then high-fived each other, celebrating the win.
Nevertheless, looking around themselves they were shocked, why nothing was damaged? The explosion from those orbs was clearly enough to destroy everything in a radius of various kilometers, yet the hall appeared as if it was new, just constructed!
As if that wasn't enough, before they could realize, a staircase appeared at the side of the hall, leading upward.
The three seeing what was happening frowned, the person at the top was surely much stronger than them.
Gulping, they walked on the stairs and arrived at the door of an office, knocking it.
*Knock*
"Come in." The same lazy voice resounded, appearing as if he was exerting himself too much just to say a couple words.
Opening the door, the three entered the room, but Shu Himo and Phylia, seeing who was in the room, widened their eyes in shock, what was he doing here?
In front of them was a middle-aged man reading a newspaper. He was sitting on a chair, relaxing with his legs on a table. Glancing at the three for a moment, he lazily said, "We met again... good job in learning arcane magic in these five years... some even require fifty or more..."
