World's Acceptance, World's Fear [C158]

Heaven, inside a chamber in an unknown location.

An angel was seated cross-legged, unmoving, as if nothing mattered to him. He was cultivating. As he stood still, the Qi in the room moved around him, as if it were completely under his control.

Under such view, the features of the angel appeared divine, appearing as if a deity itself came down in the world. Wearing a white suit, he seemed the perfect angel, untainted by the world.

Clearly, the cultivation realm of the angel was unfathomable, able to control the Qi at will, proving that most could only kneel down in front of him. Normally, such an expert would be at the very peak, where nothing could surprise him… however, at this moment, his eyes opened abruptly in shock.

To his surprise, he noticed that the Qi he was controlling perfectly, began to ignore him, and appeared to dance, going straight toward a specific direction.

"This…" He could not believe it, "Is it 'World's Acceptance'?! No… that's impossible, there can't be any outstanding talents… could it be… the 'World's Fear'?"

This was common knowledge among the upper-echelon of most races, in the case the Qi of the world acted in this way, there were only two possibilities.

The 'World's Acceptance', or the 'World's Fear'.

The World's Acceptance would happen if an extremely talented cultivator was breaking through to Nascent Soul realm… it was said that the world's Qi would dance, as if hoping to fawn over such talent.

The World's Fear, instead, would happen if a cultivator was breaking through a certain realm, a realm that could prove a threat to the functioning of the world. It was said that the world reacted by dancing, pleading such cultivator to not destroy the world.

"Is the Demon King attempting to breakthrough? This is bad!" Obviously, he held that the event was 'World's Fear', and the only who were close to that realm, where him and the Demon King.

He knew that were the Demon King to succeed at breaking through to the next realm he would not have any way to win against her, so he immediately stood up and walked outside of the chamber.

He did not panic, as he knew that she would require a lot of time… breaking through to that realm was not something that could be fastened just by using a good cultivation technique!

*Vruum!*

Opening wide the doorway, he crushed it on the wall as he screamed, "Everyone, prepare for depart! The main army prepare to fight and unprecedented threat!"

His command resounded over all the central part of heaven, entering the ears of every angel, who stood in shock for a couple seconds, dumbstruck by what they were hearing.

He then rushedly walked toward the council, to make a reunion with the top angels about the incoming threat.

-----

At the same time, in an unknown place.

A girl with long smooth silver hair descending on her black gothic lolita dress, attracted the gazes of most.

"This behavior from the Qi… interesting… what is happening?" The girl mumbled to herself, and she began to walk toward the same direction the world's Qi was being drawn.

As she was walking, the image of a child she made a bet with came to her mind, but she quickly pushed away that thought. It was impossible, it couldn't be him. "Only a few days passed… if he were breaking through to Nascent Soul realm now… wouldn't it mean that saying 2 years was a scam? It would be more like 2 months in that case…"

Suddenly, under the startled gaze of the passerby, she vanished as if she had never been there.

-----

In the sky, inside an unknown flying vehicle.

"Do you both feel this abnormal movement of Qi?" A black-haired wolf-man asked.

"Obviously we feel it… do you think that the Demon King is about to breakthrough?" A red-haired girl asked, with an amused expression which betrayed her heavy tone.

A brown-haired man smiled and offered his help, "I will do a divination." He proudly announced it, expecting the thankful voices of his comrades.

"As if your divinations ever worked!" The wolf and the red-haired girl mocked him together.

"Shut up, my divinations are always accurate!" He snapped back quickly.

Taking out a deck of cards, he shuffled the deck and clapped his hands, crushing the deck of cards in the middle of his hands. 'I will show them, how can they just insult my abilities?' He thought to himself.

*Vrr*

Suddenly, the crushed cards consumed themselves, producing a blue light which morphed into a word: 'Yes.'

'Yes? What does that even mean…? It should mean something positive… so... I see! It must mean that there will be a fortuitous encounter!' Thought that, he turned to look at the others as he smiled and announced, "The result is positive! We have to go there immediately, as only fortune awaits us!"

"Fortune?" Hearing his words, the expression of the wolf-man and the red hair girl darkened as they shook their heads in hopelessness.

*Pak*

Clapping his hands, the wolf-man attempted to catch the attention of everyone, as he loudly said, "Everyone, before we go there prepare some medicinal herbs! Who knows who will get hurt!"

Nodding her head, the girl added, "Also prepare the weapons, we may get into a hard fight once we arrive!"

From afar, a bald man who overheard their discussion yelled, "And get ready for anything! We may be going to see the end of the world!"

The brown-haired man was dumbfounded, the result was fortuitous, why were the others acting like that?!
