Naturally, Shu Himo was unaware about the effects of the tornado on other cultivators, so seeing how all the Longevity Realm experts frenziedly turning toward him with a weird expression he realized, 'They were waiting for me!'
Nodding to reassure them, he then walked toward Phylia, and leaned close to her ear to whisper his strategy. After what happened in the fight against Met-2 he was still unsatisfied, feeling that Phylia should personally take revenge against them.
A moment later, under the widened eyes of the experts, Phylia nodded happily and climbed on his back.
"Is he… giving her a piggyback ride?"
"Wasn't he going to fight?"
"How can he fight like that?"
They all believed that he was planning a strategy to fight, but… they certainly did not expect him to start playing!
'The heck! We are risking our lives to fight and you start playing… can't you at least chose the right moment and place?'
However… their attention was suddenly caught as they noticed that in the hands of Phylia there were two black whips! Were they seriously going to fight like that?
Staring at the whips, they all had a weird feeling, why... did those whips seem to be alive?
The whips appeared completely different from normal ones; possessing over five meters in length the whips should fall on the ground due to their own weight, yet... they moved by themselves in the air, as if exercising themselves.
Were those two weapons a treasure? Such thought passed in their minds, yet, they did not have time to wonder about it before the next attacks from the Met-2 and Met-3 halted their thoughts.
Unbeknownst to those experts, those whips were not external weapons. They were extensions of Phylia's own body, extruded from her palms once she was mounted on Shu Himo's back and out of their view.
Staring at a group of Met-3, Shu Himo smirked, "Hold on tight, Phylia!"
Under his right foot, four invisible platforms appeared, which propelled him toward his targets. An instant later, they appeared in the midst of ten Met-3, and before the Met-3 could react, they spun on themselves, while the whips' formed a blade on its edges, making the whips appear as a long, flexible sword.
While Phylia was not yet able to cut through Met-2, to cut Met-3 was easy for her even before, so now that she reached the Nascent Soul realm, when cutting Met-3 she felt as if she were cutting tofu, posing no resistance at all.
As if it was only natural, the numerous Met-3 were split in half, slumping on the ground before they could react. Without stopping, Shu Himo and Phylia dashed toward another group of Met-3, killing them one after another.
The Longevity Realm experts were in disbelief, such strength exhibited by someone who had just achieved a breakthrough to Nascent Soul realm!
The only reason they were losing the war was due to the constant sneak-attacks from the Met-3, but… were they to continue exterminating them like that, the war may still be winnable!
With a newfound hope, the Longevity Realm experts continued to fight fervently, aiming to take down all the Met-2.
Seeing the ruckus they were making, Aura Azusa smiled, "They are having fun… I can't lose to them!" Raising her hand toward a group of Met-3 on the sides, she chanted as usual, "Solar Orb!"
In front of her, a small, feeble ball of fire appeared. Harmless, at first view. Yet, in but a mere moment the ball of fire enlarged, growing twenty centimeters in diameter, appearing about to collapse.
With a grabbing motion toward the ball of fire, she then threw it, as if attempting to throw a normal ball. *Frrr* As if a fuse had been ignited, the ball of fire left on its path a track of flame as it was flying toward a group of Met-3.
Glancing at the ball of fire, the Longevity Realm experts were stunned, and the closest to it murmured, "The intensity of the flame seems to be very strong… wait…"
*Boom!*
Exploding, the solar orb appeared to devour everything, with its burst expanding various kilometers, destroying any Met-3 on its path.
For almost two kilometers in diameter everything became scorched land, with occasional half-melted carcasses from the destroyed Met-3.
"What?!" A few Longevity Realm experts exclaimed in disbelief, the explosion reached them too! While it did not damage any of them seriously, it still gave them a hell of a shock!
"Oh." Aura Azusa blinked. Only now did she notice that her spell made a bit too much damage. Scratching her head awkwardly, she reminisced about what usually happened when she used it together with Shu Himo… he would usually resolve the damage… sometimes...
Shaking her head, she decided to use another spell, so that it would not bother the others.
She looked at another group of Met-3 as she silently started to fly. With an imposing gaze, she chanted, "Meteor Shower."
Around her, the world appeared to fracture, as numerous cracks appeared. From each of those cracks emerged a meteor, seemingly able to destroy anything.
Noticing the meteors, the experts' jaw dropped; was her objective to kill the Met-3... or just to create a mess?'
Unbeknown to the experts' shock, Aura Azusa proudly looked at the meteors, who fell on the battlefield, eradicating any chance of survival for the Met-3.
A magic spell's strength didn't only vary based on the spell itself, but even based on who was using it and their realm! From when she reached Nascent Soul, her spells became way stronger, incomparable to the ones she had used against a Met-3 during the test in the academy.
This made defending impossible for the Met-3, as not only were the meteors falling faster than the last time, but also at the moment a Met-3 attempted to suppress one, the meteor immediately exploded, leaving them unable to come up with a resistance able to stop the numerous meteors.
"Heh, the only reason I had a problem against that Met-2 was due to its resistance... for you mere Met-3 who fail to even react my attacks, survival is not allowed!"
