The moment Shu Himo, Phylia, and Aura Azusa reached the ship they stiffened, 'This ship is… enormous!'
When they were still on the ground, due to the distance of a kilometer the ship did not appear too huge… however, once they reached it they felt as if they were instead on top of an island!
The deck itself spanned over hundreds of meters, covering everywhere with its brown wood. But it was surely not a normal wood! Once they touched it, the three felt its sturdiness and knew that even by using their strongest attacks they may not be able to damage it.
On both sides of the deck there were tens of cannons, each of them giving a sense of threat to the three.
In the midst of their shock, Yubei Kelos, Faithe Malkia, and Hynvers Azharde finally came up, standing on the ship.
"Wait here, I will introduce someone to you." As soon as he said it, Yubei Kelos walked away before they could ask anything.
Not having another choice, they waited there, while continuing to examine the ship.
'Just how many members are in this ship to require such size?' Rubbing his chin, Shu Himo fell in thought, 'There isn't anyone on the deck… if there were many members in here it would at least have one or two walking around…'
Suddenly, they saw Yubei Kelos and a bald man walking closer.
Looking at the three, the bald man waved his hand, "You must be the newcomer...s? Wait... why there are three newcomers?"
"Shu Himo asked if we could take in other two, and once I knew that they were strong enough, there wasn't a problem with it."
Hearing the name that Yubei Kelos just said, the bald man asked, "Shu Himo? Is that the name of the talented kid that caused 'World's Acceptance'?"
"World's Acceptance?" Narrowing his eyes, Shu Himo was puzzled from the term he never heard.
[It's the name of the mess that the User caused.]
'What? I caused a mess?'
Startled, both Yubei Kelos and the bald man exclaimed at the same time, "What? You don't know?!"
Shu Himo simply shook his head, not having any idea of what they were talking about.
The bald man felt baffled, who would case a mess without knowing it? "The breakthrough that you had to reach Nascent Soul realm literally caused all the Qi in the world to move toward your position! How come you don't know what it is?!"
"That's all? I thought I had made some incredible mess without knowing… but to think everyone got so worked up just for a breakthrough." Shu Himo frowned, during the war everyone rushed toward him as if he had destroyed half of the world… but at the end, it was simply because he moved a bit of Qi?
At that moment, he recalled how some main characters activated some type of reaction from the world gaining some sort of power-up… so why, while he had caused such a reaction, he did not gain any special power-up?
He felt cheated, was the world making fun of him?
'Just a breakthrough?!'— They were shocked— 'He calls something that influenced the whole world as just a breakthrough?!'
Coughing to dispel his shock, the bald man presented himself, "I am the cook of this ship, Pyrus Ignait!"
'Ignait?'—Shu Himo was stunned—'Isn't it read the same as Ignite? Why there are so many members with weird names on this ship?'
Lightly shaking his head, Shu Himo asked, "This night, I plan to make a banquet with anyone that was in the war, both demons and angels… as you are a cook, are you willing to cook for it?"
"Oh? A banquet with demons?" Pyrus Ignait was stunned, but he ultimately shook his head, "For today I'm making beefsteaks, I can't cook for a banquet…"
Yet, When he was about to refuse, he remembered that Shu Himo planned to take the test to become the leader, so he smiled, "Actually, let's make a little bet. If you complete the test and become the leader, I will cook for this banquet… however, if you fail you will help me in the kitchen for a month."
Naturally, Shu Himo accepted happily his bet.
When Pyrus Ignait heard from Yubei Kelos that a kid wanted to become the leader he was in disbelief… so he decided that by making him work in the kitchen for a month, he would teach him to not overestimate himself!
His eyes became slightly wet... years ago, he had lost a friend exactly because they overestimated themselves... he will not let something like that happen again!
--
It happened when he was still a kid… Pyrus Ignait and his friend were still weak, being in the Body Strengthening Realm.
That day, they posed their eyes on a fat man, with over two meters of height. He was the champion of the village, the strongest of that time.
Being the strongest between all the kids in the village, the two overestimated themselves, believing to be unbeatable and decided to challenge the fat man, "You, do you want bet on who can eat more homemade pasta?"
The fat man was proud of his record of eating over fifty plates of homemade pasta, believing that no one could beat him… so seeing that two kids dared to challenge him, he was furious. "Hmph! As if mere kids can beat me… come, let's fight!"
The fight was intense, and Pyrus Ignait and his friend surprisingly managed to eat 52 and 51 plates of homemade pasta, surprising everyone… however, the fat man broke his own record, reaching a total of 63 plates.
"Hahaha… I said that you couldn't beat me!" Walking away, the fat man proudly left in victory, without acknowledging at all his opponents.
Such a result shocked both Pyrus Ignait and his friend… the feeling they had when the fat man was looking down on them made them feel many emotions... triggering something within them.
A couple days later, Pyrus Ignat's friend came to a decision, "Ignait… I will depart and find my own way… to become the strongest eater in the world!"
With tears in his eyes, Pyrus Ignait replied, "Okay then… become the strongest eater in the world… and I will meanwhile become the strongest cook, and when we will meet again I will show you the tastiest dishes in the world."
He did not try to stop him… he perfectly knew his friend's feelings.
"Well then... now I will go..." With tears in his eyes, the friend added jokingly, "Remember not to get ignited."
Pyrus Ignait had a bitter smile, it may be the last time he would hear such an awful joke about his own name from his friend.
Looking at his friend while he was leaving the village, departing to see the world, Pyrus Ignait sighed and walked back home.
In the way home, he felt hungry, so he took out from his backpack his lunch box. However… the moment he opened it, his eyes widened in shock, "He stole my lunch!"
'Was he talking about that when he said to not get ignited?!'
'To not get angry?!'
To Pyrus Ignait who had lived a childhood in poverty and hunger, food was equal to gold, so as if he were a dragon who had its reverse scale touched, having his lunch stolen created in him an immense rage, which would not vanish until he punished the culprit.
Even to this day, his rage did not dissipate.
'Damn you… if I see you again I will show you what happens to who steal the lunch of others!'
