Su Xueying, princess of Danyan, has been lucky for her entire life. However, after a marriage arrangement was created between her and Emperor Yang from the opposite country, Yeming, Xueying is determined that her good luck has come to an end. From then on, everyone and everything seems to be out there to ruin her life, and upon one of those incidents, she meets a handsome mountain bandit, Mo Ruchen, who appears to be much more than what he looks like on the outside.
Why shouldn't an author give her own story a review, haha? Anyways, it's not a perfect five star review because I don't feel like my story is good enough for that-- I struggle with updating a lot because there's a lot of stuff for me to do in my personal life. :'( Will do my best to guarantee at least a chapter per week, though. Getting on to the point of the story, I honestly think it's good because, well... I wrote it? Arrogant and too self-assured? Yes. Still going to give every other factor a five star, though. The story, if you haven't read the synopsis, is a tale of Su Xueying's journey as she escapes her previous life (not literally... metaphorically) and enters into a new journey that she's never experienced before. She'll seem like a spoiled, flat character at first, but I promise there will be some excellent character development in the future! I have lots planned for the story. There are also two love interests for this story-- Mo Ruchen and Yang Tingxuan. Both of them play major roles in the story, but just because I'm biased towards my favorite characters in the stories, Ruchen has a slightly bigger role. Xueying, however, plays the biggest role (very obviously) One tip that I would suggest to improve your reading experience would be to focus on all the small characters, no matter how insignificant they seem to be, most of the minor non-important characters will make comebacks! That's what I like about this story a lot-- every character has their own backstory that will hopefully awe you. :))) And for those who are curious, here are some of the major terms/names explained. 苏雪莹: Su Xueying. 苏/Su is her last name and there's nothing really symbolic about it. 雪/Xue means snow. 莹/Ying means the shine of a jewel. It's pretty much just some pretty characters for a typical princess to be named. 墨儒尘: Mo Ruchen. 墨/Mo is his last name, and it means ink. 儒/Ru means scholar, which I like because it's completely contradicting of how he is currently. 尘/Chen is just a super poetic sounding way to say 'dust', but it also means earth and the common world, an important representative of his character. 杨廷玄: Yang Tingxuan. 杨/Yang is his last name, and it just means a type of tree, lol. 廷/Ting honestly has no special meaning behind it besides 'court', which I think suits him well because he IS an emperor. 玄/Xuan, on the other hand, means mystery and darkness, which is another good representation. 淡焰/Danyan: It essentially means light flame. I wanted to go for a warm, sunny vibe for the story, and what better way to represent warmth than fire itself? 夜冥/Yeming: Both words symbolize night/darkness. Again, this is because I wanted the kingdom names to be similar to how people perceive them. 天地寨/Tiandi Fortress 天/Tian means the sky and 地/Di means the earth. Nothing much to explain here. And that's about it for my review! Hope you enjoy this story, and do leave me some feedback, which will be really really appreciated. --Yueyi
*Remember, this review is based on the first 5 chapters* Constructive Criticism: I give you a warning since your paragraphs are at the high end of acceptable, many who read on webnovel read on their phones, and it tends to be hard for them to read long paragraphs. Also, like I said in an earlier chapter, many who read on this site don't like reading chapters with more than 2k words. I see that the world you are in is one that has royalty, and it seems like it has cultivators, but that's about it... more information on the world would be very helpful, but I know that such is sometimes hard to add without an information dump. Positive Feedback: If I did not mention it in by constructive criticism, I did wholly enjoy it. you did well with your plot and with your character developments thus far. Keep up the good work, and please... FINISH THIS STORY!!!.;,;. Personal Feedback: I likely picked this story up for a review swap, but am glad I did... It is a fun story to read, and will be kept in my library.;,;.
A five star for everything. I never knew I’d ever find another novel of my choice like this one❤️ Keep it up author and please post more chapters,I’m so anxious 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬
I'm actually very interested in how the story turns out... Very good writing, good flow, good way to kick-off the story with the few subtle interactions revealing a lot about the world. All that without needing any info dumps or tiresome narration. Writing quality may be TOO high for this platform - since the readers here are kind of like "fast food" style.
