After that incident, Emiya immedietly called the police and whithin mere minutes, an ambulance and police van had arrived on site. They immedietly bought Emiya and the unconscious Mika to the hospital while the cops brought the blonde assailent to the nearest police station.
"From the looks of it, she only fainted due to shock. She'd probably wake up by tommorow morning at worst. At best whithin the next few hours."
After checking on Mika's condition, the paramedics immedietly confirmed with Emiya her condition.
"Alright thanks for your hard work."
Although Emiya had already confirmed Mika's condition with his mana and wanted to bring her back home. It would seem unnatural if the cops were to ask why he'd not call the paramedics and instead bought her home, hence he decided to keep his facade up and instead call the paramedics to prevent suspicion.
"But are you sure you don't need us to give you a quick check-up? I mean you just went head to toe with an armed person. Even if you don't feel it does not mean that you don't have any injuries."
"No worries I did not get hit at all. Hahaha!"
Looking at the paramedics, Emiya decided to laugh off at their concerns and hopefully assure them that he did not require a check up.
During the entire trip to the hospital, both the paramedics and Emiya decided to have a chat as there was no need to be concerned of anything. Whithout them noticing, they had reached the hospital.
.....
After reaching the hospital, Mika was immedietly send to a private room where she rested. Emiya too followed her and decided to stay with her until her mother reached.
Unlike the hospital rooms in japan, the ones here were extremely well equiped. Unlike the hospitals in his world where the lower tier rooms had many people share one room, the hospitals here placed the health of their patients as their first priority hence their lowest tier rooms were actually nearly on tier to those 1st class rooms in hospitals.
Inside the room, there was a full 20 inch tv, a wide bed, a sofa and table included. But the most absurd thing was the bathroom. There was a 3 metre wide bathtub and 2 seperate shower rooms included inside the bathroom.
After the incident, Emiya had also called Mika's mother to inform her of what had occured and informed her which hospital they were in upon their arrival.
"Bang!"
"Amami are you alright?"
Rushing into the room was Amami Mika's mother mizomi Yukari. She looked extremely anxious as she entered and without any hesitation, went next to the bed and held onto Mika's hand.
Considering the mother daughter duo's situation, Emiya expected such a result.
During one of his night time daily excercise routine, Emiya had actually met Yukari returning home and decided to walk home with her. He was also told of their situation where Mika's father died in a car accident when Mika was only 5 years old. Leaving behind for his family the house and some money from his life insurance.
Since then, Mika's mother has been always been supporting Mika's education and day to day life. Ensuring that she had a smoth life and future paved for her.
"Miss Yukari please be at ease your daughter is in no danger she is merely unconscious due to the shock. Please let her rest."
Looking at this, Emiya decided to calm miss Yukari down and tell her that she is no danger. At the same time this touching scene of a concerning mother made him remember back when he was saved by his adoptive father Kitsurugi.
Upon hearing this, miss Yukari loosened her grip and turned behind, looking at the handsome youth standing behind her with teary eyes, she said.
"Takahshi-san thank you for saving my daughter, she is the most precious thing i have left in this world thank you so much thank you..."
"No problem miss Yukari. I saw someone that was about to stab someone i know of course i had to help."
Looking at Yukarin, Emiya almost wanted to help her up but knew that such an idea was not a good one as he knew how deep the mother daughter duo's relationship is.
Following that, Emiya told miss Yukari the full detail of what had transpired.
After hearing this, miss Yukarin facial expression changed from shock to extreme anger. She did not hesitate to leave the room at once and call someone.
Seeing this, Emiya knew that this was his cue to leave and slowly made his way out of the room in order to not disturb Mika's rest and go to the police station in order to testify as a eye witness and handle the situation.
.....
The night passed quietly and smoothly. By the time Emiya had reached home, it was already slightly past midnight.
At the police station, he was questioned repeatedly by the officers and by the time they had finished writing his statement, it was rather late at night. At that time, an officer voluntiered to help bring him home via their police car but was rejected by Emiya as he wanted to jog home.
"Sigh, not only did I lose my watermelon, I still haven't eaten dinner haihhhh."
"Grumble Grumble!"
'I'll just wake up early tommorow and skip morning practice.'
While holding his stomach, Emiya was lamenting the fact that not only had he lost a perfectly nice watermelon, he also had to miss dinner. Causing him to have to sleep with an empty stomach.
.....
Hence poor Emiya slept through the night with an epty stomach.
"Rriiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnggggggg!"
"Urgh....."
7am, it was Emiya's wake up time to prepare for his morning excercise. But today instead of working out, he decided to use the time to prepare more food in order to stave away the hunger he held onto since yesterday.
For his meal, he had just prepare twice as much rice and an extra portion of vegtables alongside some fish to go along with it.
........
Upon leaving the house for work, he was suddenly greated with a pleasent surprise.
Hanging at his door, was a ripe wintermelon and on it a note.
Holding onto the melon, Emiya picked up the note and on it was a thank you note from Miss Yukari for saving her daughter and that this melon was an appreciation for his heroic actions.
After reading it, Emiya smiled and decided to bring it into the house and store it inside. Saving it for desert after dinner.
