Lodgings

"I suspect that anyone who hasn't started cultivating as yet should be Tertiary Disciples. Granted that someone with a very powerful bloodline would not be given the lowest status, I assume that the others here should be very weak."

He slowly analyzes the situation he could possibly be facing soon. "I maybe need to hide the power of my bloodline for now. Any mishaps in the 3 years to come will be problematic. Then there is that demon…This marriage crap is getting overused by the heavens."

As Hei is in his deep thinking, a lazy voice rings out, "Yo kid, you're the new one that was left here? You look a bit scrawny though. When last did you eat?" Hei turns around and looks on the person who appeared out of nowhere behind him. He stares at the person to see that the person is also staring at him, seemingly sizing him up. Hei looks on the man with a strange expression.

This man who has appeared before Hei is dressed in his green uniform but his hat that he is wearing is slightly tilted on his head; that green hat that is being worn with utter pride. His face seems closer to round and chubby than the usual sharp and well-toned, seemingly chiseled face of a cultivator.

"Hehehe…you're the person to pick me up? What a wonderful green hat you're wearing." Hei playfully breaks the ice as he looks on this barely middle aged male, especially the bright green hat on his head. The man looks on him with a slightly amused expression.

"In the future, you will beg to receive this hat here. It shows that one has become a true cultivator in the Beast Sword Sect little bastard. I can tell you're from some big shot family but unfortunately, this isn't that place! You play by the rules here and you will survive. Even some of the strongest of the strongest experts of the race came from my sect."

Hei nods with a 'righteous expression'. "I am honored sir." The man puts on a scornful expression, "Little bastard, don't bother trying to look all innocent and appreciative. I can tell that you have not a single interest but you wait. Just wait until you have to get your spirit. By that time, your life will become a living hell if its trash. Hopefully, you at least have a good bloodline. How old are you?"

Hei replies nonchalantly, "I am 6."

"6 years old? You look like a 4 year old. Such a scrawny figure, you must be the bastard child of some aristocrat. They really hated your existence since they seem to have barely fed you. As a man, you should be bigger than this…Whatever. What is your name?"

"I am Liu Hei."

"Oh? That's such a powerful name." The man says in a voice filled with mockery. "Follow me since I will have to give you somewhere to sleep…for now. Hehehe." The man walks off without looking back, casually strolling towards some buildings.

As they walk, Hei notices that the buildings he was looking at, which are close to the entrance are actually simple swords.

These swords are kinda old compared to the ones he is looking at now. The more they walk, the newer the buildings seem. This continues until strong sword energies can be felt radiating from these buildings. On both sides of the path, the buildings can be seen getting better and better.

Hei keeps silent as he observes them. "It seems I will be given a really good building since strong persons brought me in I guess. I am quite lucky actually."

After an extremely long walk, the man finally stops. A massive gate along with walls can be seen. These stretch across for as far as Hei's eyes can see.

The man slowly turns around and says, "That is the entrance to the Secondary Disciples area. The houses close to here are the best." Hei nods as he smirks a bit. Then I assume that the house over there is mines. Hei points on a house very close to the gate. The man nods his head.

"I am Xiniu Yu and indeed, that is my house. You can call me Elder Yu or Elder Xiniu. I just wanted you to see how crappy your house is. Your house is all the way to the back, the last house actually. It should look the worst and is currently vacant. Thanks for walking me home kid. I am good here."

This Elder Yu then walks into the house casually without even glancing at Hei. When he arrives at the door, without turning back, he says, "By tomorrow, you will get uniform and other necessities. Be up by 6 or else…" He enters his house and closes the door.

Hei stands there with shock written all over his face. He thinks to himself, "What the…fuck? Did he just let me walk with him all the way here just to throw it in my face that my home will be trash!? This…Bastard! Just you wait, I will make sure to beat the crap out of the person across from your home and become your worst neighbor!"

He angrily walks off towards where he came from. Many persons who were outside have a slight smirk on their faces as they nod and smile in schadenfreude. It seems this is not the first this happened. This causes Hei's face to get slightly red with anger as no matter what, he is still a kid even though he acts mature.

After reaching where he came from, Hei takes a good luck at where he is currently at and remember where he just came from. The Black Night Pavilion appears in his thoughts once again which makes him feel very aggrieved.

"The Heavens can be unfair at times. Well, since the Heavens gave me lemons, I will make lemonade and even lemon cake."

Hei looks at the worst of the buildings and casually walks in. upon opening the door, the door actually falls off. This has Hei blinking in shock. Hei slowly enters and puts up the door so he stands. He looks on it and realizes that there are hinges.

"Ah fuck, imagine if someone knocked on the door when I am sleeping!? I am changing rooms tomorrow!"

He makes a step and a soul stirring creak appears from the ground. Hei stops with his eyes wide open. He looks on the ground and is horrified at the amount of dirt that is present on the wooden floors.

"Not even the slightest of sword energy…even the grass is better than this trash. The floor creaked like a beast with the gentlest of touch…What the fuck is this!? Damn you Beast Sword Sect! You even have a 6 year old cursing now!"

Hei looks towards the bed and notices that it is made from pure stone that hasn't been polished or made smooth in any way. Very jagged and sharp areas are there without the slightest of comfort possible from such a thing that looks like a torture device.

Without a second glance, Hei walks out the door which collapses again. He barely puts it up and sits outside the building.

Upon closer looks, this building seems more like an old and decrepit sword that has been through so many battles. Instead of simple rust, it is more to say that it is slowly being dissolved in the strongest of acids.

Hei closes his eyes and enters his world of darkness. He appears near an ancient tree with complete anger.

Shu calmly says, "Master, there is no need for anger. This is but a simple issue. As a cultivator, one must be at peace, controlling their emotions, using them at the right time. If you cannot get over such a simple thing, then your road to cultivation will be a very difficult one."

"Sometimes, these kinds of setbacks are the things which change destiny or affect the destiny of others. Be patient and think of a way to change your circumstances."

He tries to calm down as he listens to Shu. "I get you Shu…these people; I will take their houses and make them wish they never mocked me!"

"Master, I have a suggestion. Why not fix your house so it is much better? With the knowledge you possess, in less than a week, it could be comparable to the best house or even be better."

A sinister and dark light shines in Hei's eyes. "Good plan! I know what I will do! Mocking me? Fine! I will let you all be jealous of my house soon!"

Hei laughs coldly as he thinks of how shocked they will be when they notice his home in the future. "Anyways, all the things I could get in regards to the beast plan are in the bags here. How should I start?" The ancient leaves on Shu shake a bit.

"That is the easy part Master. Apart from the beasts themselves, the plants and the energy and law resources go hand in hand. Leave the bags here for now. We here will make the arrangements while you work on your home Master."

"Thanks Shu; thanks everyone. I will leave it in your capable hands…well, paws too and fins and branches...Ai, you all get the point."

He exits the dimension and opens his eyes. At this point, he notices someone looking on him. It seems to be a girl who is dressed in her green uniform. She doesn't have a hat on her head which is extremely round like a ball. Her chubby cheeks and long, black hair can be seen.

Her round figure jiggles a bit as she laughs a bit. "What are you doing sitting outside? The house is bad but it's what you have to make due with right now…"

Hei looks on the girl who isn't ugly but not all that charming either. She seems to be about 12 or so with her figure that towers over him.

"This house looks like trash but yes, it's my house so I will fix it…" She smiles a bit and says with obvious interest, "Well, modifications to buildings mean that the building will become yours. What I mean is that unless you upgrade your status as a disciple, you cannot get a different building. So if you just put the slightest of modifications, you will remove your hope of getting a better building."

"That is no problem." Hei says with a slight smile on his face. His confidence and slightly playful smile makes him seem as if the entire situation is nothing to deal with.

"I will make this building become the best of the best." Listening to those words, the girl laughs happily.

"You're funny, I like you. What's your name? I am Xiniu Shan."

Hei looks on her carefully. "I am Liu Hei. You're that evil elder's relative?"

She nods without the least bit of anger, "Yup, he is my dad. He is not so good with people but he is kind on the inside. He is just a bit heartbroken, that's all! He is such a pitiful father. That's why his genius daughter here will get him back some face!"

"Pitiful you say, he seems to take pride in tossing around his good house. But I will make him very jealous of mines when I am finished with it!"

She smiles and with a simple thought, not caring much about what she is about to say, "Then help me with making mines as awesome too then."

Hei looks on her carefully, trying to find any deception. With her simple demeanor and kind smile, he makes a decision. "Fine, I will help you too. Just don't think I will be going the extra mile."

She jumps for joy which makes her fat and the ground tremble a bit. "Thanks Hei! You're okay if I call you by your first name, right!?" Hei nods without caring much about that.

"Now then, I shall begin with your since I might as well experiment with yours. Do not worry; I will make sure your house becomes one of the most wanted ones in this entire area. Just trust me." She smiles and jumps in anticipation. "Then let's do it!"
