Chapter 8- Running Away

'His cultivation is about two level higher than mine!' She looked at the young man with furrowed brows and a shocked expression. 'Is he not just a human? He must be a high standing demon or a god right? It's impossible for people from the mortal realm to cultivate to this extent in their lifetime.'

Then the guards along with the three men saw a mysterious smile dawn the young ladies face as she walked up to the young man and curiously examined him. The two men by his side wanted to stop her; however, seeing the young man give no instructions to do so, they begrudgingly stood in place hoping that nothing too bad would happen.

Liqin circled around the young man two or three times, looking intently at him to spot any signs that would indicate he was a demon.

'Hmmm, no tail, no strange ears, no horns…' Liqin thought, 'There's also no dark aura surrounding him or his followers...maybe he's not a demon."

Then realization dawned on Liqin, 'He...he's a god?! That's the only possible explanation right?!'

She thought back to what her mother said about avoiding any gods or righteous sects. Thinking of this, she quickly said, "Haha, older brother is quite handsome! Well, since I'm not allowed in the city then I guess I'll just have to go now!"

Liqin then quickly used qing gong to fly away.

Back at the gates, the guards had puzzled expressions while the young man was lost in thought.

"Should we follow her master?" one of the young man's servants asked.

The young man looked at the area Liqin departed from and said, "Hmm.. she was quite beautiful wasn't she? Makes me wonder what other demons are like."

While the young man's two servants understood his implication, the two guards were less fortunate. They both thought, 'Huh? Demon? What is this scary young lord saying?' However, on the outside they kept their faces stoic, hoping to give the young lord a good impression.

"Let's go"

The young man turned his horse towards the gate and quickly rode into the city with his two servants close behind, leaving behind a cloud of dust along with two very confused guards.
