"Can we keep going?" Shi Rong asked impatiently.


"No we will stop for now to give you time to rest. I shall summon you once again in one month." Quijie disappeared quickly.


Shi Rong looked around the courtyard for him before she finally decided to leave. She emerged from the pavillion to find Ling Yiyao sitting on the ground waiting patiently for her.


He stood up to greet her but the young girl suddenly threw herself into the man's arms.


Shi Rong couldn't comprehend what came over her body upon seeing Ling Yiyao but she immediately threw herself into his embrace and hugged him tightly. She rubbed her face deep into his robes as his black hair cascaded down her face.


Ling Yiyao stumbled back in complete shock but wrapped the girl in his arms preventing her escape.


His scent drifted into her nose as his warmth traveled through her body.


Her heart ached slightly as it raced causing her eyes to sting. An uncontrollable sadness crept into her eyes as small tears rolled down her face. She buried her face deeper into his robes as if she was looking for comfort.


Ling Yiyao held the girl closer as she buried her face deeper. He felt a warm wet sensation on his chest causing him to tremble slightly. He looked down and noticed the girls wet cheeks.


Ling Yiyao immediately looked down at the crying girl. She looked up at him with a pink wet face and sniffled. He stared into her black slender eyes and frowned lightly.


Ling Yiyao whipped away the girls tears as he stared her in the eyes. "Lady Rong what causes your heart great sadness for it to cloud your eyes and stain your face?"


Shi Rong sniffled. "I can't explain it."


Ling Yiyao frowned and tried to pull the girl back into his embrace but she gently placed her hand on his arm stopping him.


He looked down and gave her a confused looked.


A soft sensation overtook his lips as his cheeks became wet. Shi Rong pushed her lips softly onto his until they were completely covered.


Ling Yiyao froze completely startled trying to comprehend what has just occured.
