Different from the heroes in most of the mythological stories, Kratos wasn't an orthodox hero; his behavior showed the mercilessness and indifference towards these Olympian gods.

Once a leader of an army of Spartans, who were famous for their strength and bravery, Kratos was courageous and vicious.

Defeated in a battle, he begged for help from Ares, the God of War. He received Ares' help and defeated his enemies at the price of servitude under Ares by signing a covenant. Killing countless humans and gods, he became Ares's puppet and killing machine, a powerful warrior who was serving the gods.

After that, he killed countless gods and humans. To make him into a perfect warrior, Ares set up a trap and made him kill his own wife and daughter.
