"I will not abandon him as you have!" Yelled Agria. Her magic burning bright hot. She pushed her finger down denting the table with each poke. "I obey Sunstrider. My Convent obeys him. You can not intervene without his permission or stop unless in case of an emergency that would go against his wishes. Do you mean to tell me this is something he would want?"
Tietra and some Sisters of battle were behind her looking intently. None of them looked away from the screen in front of them. Tietra was anxious that much was clear.
On the other side, Mileuda watched amused. She was enjoying seeing Agria flustered. For a while, she thought the woman had lost all her emotions.
"I plan on heading back to my world once my forces here are at a point they can function without me." Agria said. "They are exceeding well. Just a little more and they will be at the point that we need them to be. Several of them already show the qualities of leaders. I want my own world to be ready for when he heads back to it. A lot has to be done."
"Wait.. who will lead here then?" Mileuda asked.
"At first it was to be you and Tietra. I realized you want to return home as well." Agria looked behind to the 10 sisters that stood behind her. "The Vorcha humans, and the created from Azul will take over instead. As well as the few Exogeni personnel to help of course."
"Glad you thought of that. I need to save my brother if I can." Mileuda looked to Tietra. "I know she wants to as well. But wait Agria dont you wish to save your cousin? Here name was Agrias wasn't it?"
"Yes I do. But she is stubborn." Agria looked up at the screen. "Well? What have you found in your search?"
Galtea paused taking everything in. As for Maldova she couldnt help but wonder why the connection broke to Sunstrider.
"You love him dont you?" Everyone around Agria stared at her. Galtea continued, "you spent your points on a vision between you two didnt you?"
Agria's smile was that of someone at peace. "Yes I did. I only received a 100 years with him. But it was enough for me. I know that following him was the right thing to do. I plan on having him take my world when this is all said and done."
Maldova eyes went wide. "Please clarify what that means."
"Of course. The Users can take whole worlds under their ownership I am hoping he takes my own."
"What are you serious?" Mileuda asked shocked.
"She is correct. But usually the User gains that information at level 20. It is around the time they started deciding for themselves how they wish to proceed." Galtea said somberly to them. She then focus back on Agria. "Do you think Azul would want to do that? That is not in his nature. Even with his physco power influencing him, he wont do it."
"I know this. However his desire to help uplift humanity is there. He wants us better. Considering the threat that is coming to all worlds," Agria shook in somewhat fear," he rather see us fighting tall then dead and enslaved. With my worlds level that is what will happen to us."
"Our world level...." Tietra droned out.
"It's value to the rest of existance." Galtea said drly. "Most worlds have something special about it. It's appeal to the user's. The more they covet it, the more they think about it, the higher its value. The stronger it becomes. The hard it is to destroy it."
"Our world is low?" Asked Mileuda.
"Yes and no. Your magic potential is sky high. Your technology is low. Very low at that. Your people are in the middle. Your religion is in the middle. The over all view point of your people happens to be low. However people like you and Tietra carry a power to change that. Even more so since Azul has shown his favour."
"His favour?" Mileuda asked.
"I cant tell you." Galtea said with finality.
"What about none humans?" Maldova asked.
"Nothing." Galtea answered neutrally. "The majority of aliens have the advantage whether Technology or Genetically speaking. He is also a Xenophiliac. He wont go after you in that destructive kind of way. Unless you tried to wipe out humanity for being an inferior species. He would also try to wipe humans that think they should be the only thing in existence that stands on top."
"Yet he is a Cerebus operative." Maldova said offhandley.
"He is. But that's mostly personal preference. Not all of Cerberus are purist. They are as about as much as the Asari, Turian are anyway."
"That is good. Hate to follow some kind of purist." Mileuda said.
"The same for us." Tietra said. "The other world's that are like ours live with all manner of creatures. My homeworld only has monsters and demons. The culture change would be different for them. We also are primitive to other worlds. that is certain."
Bah! That is just because our time frame." Milueda said in disgust. "As long as he keeps his original deal with me, I dont mind fighting this bloody war."
"What deal?" Maldova asked.
"He agreed to help provide an education for my people. To you that may seem like nothing. But to us.. it means the world. With the offer he made I will do what I can to help reshape my world. Even if it means drowning myself in blood. Everyone has a side. Just pick one and be done with it." Mileuda glowed with raw physic Renegade energy.
"The problem with lower worlds is that right there." Galtea said pointing at her. "You live in the here and now and not the future." Shaking her head she was momentarily distressed. Sometging started to bug her. Old instincts rose to the forefront of her mind. Her eyes went wide. "You three... are different. Way different than what you should be." Scrolling through information only she could see, she gasped. "You have awakened. He hasn't blocked your growth!" Searching through the rest she notice all of them had it. All the people that were pulled anyway. Not the ones he created from the Nether World.
"What do you mean growth?" Tietra asked.
"I mean you all can follow your own path. This is dangerous. It means you all are capable of betraying him. You can ignore the loyalty implentation of the System. Someone disabled it." Galtea looked actually worried. "This is a problem. It has been off since Feros!"
"What does it mean?" Mileuda asked realizing this could go bad.
"It means free will." Agria said. "If we wanted to kill Azul we could."
"Has anybody wanted to?" Mileuda asked intigued.
"No. No traitors yet." Galtea said. "But the possibilities are endless. Clash of personality will cause it eventually. Why is it off?" She worked away at the keys.
"What is the benefit to it being off besides the normal?" Maldova asked.
"The closer you get to him in anyway, the stronger and more important you become. To him nothing really as he is now to weak to use that. He receives loyalty points for it." Finding what she wanted, Galtea collapsed. "The System did it.. it did itself."
"For good reason." A voice came from everywhere and nowhere. A man came out of the floor. It was the trickster. "Good evening ladies and few gentlemen. I am the Trickster. The pleasure is all mine."
"Are you toying with him?" Maldova asked. She read the reports about the man as well as Azul's personal view on a creature like him.
"No. I am also not testing him either. This was done to drag out the ones who have tampered with things. They have been arrested and are getting mentally siphoned currently." The trickster said seriously. "We are not foolish enough to think this is over. But with the influx of worlds opening up we had to. To many places in the last month. They enemy will have there hands full as well. This works in our favor. As well give a reason for a gift he will receive."
"What gift?" Galtea asked finding her voice.
"I cant tell you just yet. But I have some troubling news. Azul knows he is dead."
"What dead? That cant be!" Galtea accessed her terminal quickly to check. It showed he was still alive. The others stared in shock."
"Not that Version of him. His real body is dead." Trickster said smiling. "He figured it out during Mortal Kombat. With his real body gone he knows this is his life now. It only took a few centuries for him to get use to it. The time in Zanarkand helped greatly actually."
"Then he can never return." Galtea said frowning. "I failed him then."
"No you did not. His body died of natural causes." Trickster said no longer smiling. "A few years after his first arrival here. Time kept moving onward unnaturally. The Users were suppose to be able to pick up their lives normally when leaving. However that what not the case in his sense. It could be caused by his high Synchor rate or something else entirely. No matter it is done. His life will come to him. The memories uploaded into him in Zanarkand by design. He just hasn't accessed them yet."
"You are smiling." Mileuda said to Agria. "Why is that?"
"Because he mentioned something like that before to me once. It doesnt matter now. I just want to see him. Make sure he is really alive." Agria smile became strained as she realized they still needed to get back in touch with Azul. "We are wasting time."
"Be at ease. He will not die there. Not yet as far as I saw." Trickster said. "A word of caution for all of you. What you believe is random is not the same for a User. His Psycho power is about to grow exponentially as well as his power as a Pather. Agria the next you two meet his Soul Power will have grown exponentially. I am proud of you for that." With the drop of his hat, he was gone.
"Are you just going to sit there dazed or actually do something!" Maldova yelled at Galtea.
"I am just.. just give.. me a moment." Galtea was searching using her own abilties. Then the connection came back and her body tingled as she felt the aftershocks. "He is alive. But... the amount of killing he has done.." A single tear fell from her cheek. "Warhammer is a disastrous place. No wonder no one laid claim to it."
"Did you say no one?" Maldova asked.
"Yes. Not one user has ever done so. At most they have conquered a single galaxy before it was lost. Most operators only go there when a desperate need of growth and resources is needed." Galtea scan through some files. "It never ends well for anyone. I am happy he hasn't changed yet."
"Should we be worried?" Maldova asked sitting down after she checked over some readings. "What is this place total population?" Checking against she shuddered. Mass Effect was a drop in a bucket compared to it. "What have I gotten myself into..."
"The same thing the rest of us got into." Ruma said finally speaking again. "Yhis place sounds perfect from my clan. I need to get him to go and crush it. Take over it, take us there. They will gladly kill for a world of endless war."
"Do you like war that much?" Maldova asked.
"About as much as Asari enjoy deceit." Ruma bristled at her. "When are you gonna tell him and the rest if the crew? Chari already spends time with him as it is. What will you do if they become lovers?"
"Be happy for her." Maldova shrugged her shoulders. "I am old enough to get over it."
"But do you want to? That is the question I have next." Ruma moved over to get in front of her. "You painted a target on his back when you spoke to the council. Even if you didnt say anything beside what was agreed upon, it wont stop them from prying using other channels."
"I know that. He knows that. That's why we make our move he gets back." Maldova said stating back at her long time friend. She then looked to Galtea. "He will be ready wont he?"
"If he survives that world then yes.. I believe he will. We will make our move against Shepard and take the others he hasn't gotten." Galtea said grimacing at the screen. "The more pillars we have on our side, the better."
