Killing Monsters

Xiao Wei moved her eyes to the second and cast spell. The monster like the one before died in two spell casts of the spell.

Xiao Wei looted the dead monster and unlike last time, this one didn't drop the required quest item. Xiao Wei only received one copper coin and nothing more.

Xiao Wei didn't stop after killing the second monster. She killed them until all were collected. To get all of them she killed 13 more . From these 13 she received 130 experience points and 13 copper coins. Wei Xiao now in her inventory had 15 copper coins.

Xiao Wei glanced at her experience bar and thought, "Only 10 experience points to level up. I might as well kill one monster before returning to the quest giver."

Xiao Wei quickly found one more monster and used . The spell finished casting out and it travelled to the monster. Unlike the other casts, this one had managed to score a critical strike and the monster collapsed in only one spell.

Xiao Wei smiled and thought, "Alright I levelled up." She nodded one time in happiness and clicked the key bind for the character window.

The window opened and Xiao Wei saw that she had 5 attribute points that she could attribute to any of her attributes.

Xiao Wei didn't hesitate as she put 3 points into the intellect, 1 point into the vitality and 1 point into the spirit. The girl closed the window and looted the monster that she didn't loot yet. The monster like all the others dropped 1 copper coin. She now had 16 copper coins.

Wei Xiao walked back to the quest giver and Xiao Wei right clicked the succubus - Ivori.

"You have returned? Have you collected the items that I have asked for?"

Xiao Wei clicked the button.

Xiao Wei clicked on the quest giver as a new yellow quest marker appeared above the quest giver's head.

"Now that you have collected the herbs and the horns of these , I can start the ritual. Your face shows me your confusion. Do you want to know why I have asked you to collect these items?"

Two chat options appeared. They appeared as the clickable options in the bottom middle side of the screen,

Xiao Wei shrugged her shoulders and clicked, <"Yes"> option. The succubus talked further.

"The reason is simple I am making a charm that will mask your existence from the humans. With the charm, you will be able to live with the humans. Once I begin you will have to guard me until it is complete. Will you guard me, my daughter?"

Without hesitation, Xiao Wei clicked the button and a message flashed,

"Follow me, " Said the succubus as she walked into the large building. Wei Xiao followed after the NPC. They only stopped once they entered a spacious room. The succubus stopped and turned around.

"When you are ready, talk to me."

Xiao Wei immediately right clicked on the succubus and a chat option appeared, <"I am ready">. She clicked the only option available.

"I will begin then." The succubus named Ivori started to mumble some words. Five seconds passed a dark portal appeared.

Out of the portal, a monster appeared.

This lesser demon was a blob that was the fourth of the human's height. It didn't have any legs or arms. It was only a blob, a slime.

Xiao Wei without hesitating clicked the key bind for the only spell she had, The monsters walked over to Ivori but just before it could reach her. The spell fired and it hit the monster that approached the succubus.

The monster turned towards Wei Xiao and moved over to her. Xiao Wei had already clicked the ability the second time after the cast of the first had finished. The spell fired before the slime could reach her.

Ten more seconds passed and another portal appeared and out this portal, the same kind of slime moved towards Ivori. Like before it died in two spells and once again Wei Xiao was awarded 20 experience points.

Wei Xiao was now 3 slimes or 60 experience away from levelling up.

"I am halfway done!"

Another portal had opened up and another same monster appeared. Once again it died in two attacks and Wei Xiao received another 20 experience points.

"I am nearly done. Just a little more!"

Portal opened and a monster appeared. The monster that appeared was not the same slime. This slime was not a fourth of human's height but half of the human's height and it was also higher level than the other slimes.

"This must be the last monster," Thought Xiao Wei as she clicked on the key bind for the . The monster like all the other moved for Ivori first.

The monster stopped,

The Demon Slime fired a spell at Wei Xiao and she lost some of her health. But it was not enough as Wei Xiao's health pool was 250.

"Thank you for protecting me. We are done here. Come and talk with me outside of the mansion." The succubus Ivori walked out of the room.

Before going anywhere Xiao Wei first clicked the key bind for character window and like before attributed 3 points into the intellect, 1 point to the vitality and 1 point into the spirit. She looked at her current stats and smiled.
