The little Game.

After flying for less than two hours, the group arrived at his destiny and now that everyone was standing on top of the mountain split in half, Menchi walked to the edge of the cliff then turned around and spoke.

"Well everyone, come here and look down"

Then all the applicants got near and looked down letting out voices of amazement because of the sight in front of them. Between the edges of the mountain, over thousands meters high there were spider's webs connecting the two sides.

"What is that?"

"The web of an eagle-spider"

"Do they make their webs there?" Gon asked as a gust of wind blow up

"Look under the net" Menchi said

"Those are…" someone exclaimed

"Eagle-spider's Eggs" Netero answered followed by an explanation about it, he told them they built their nest in deep cliff, to protect their eggs from predator and that make these eggs one of the hardest ingredients to obtain in the world, also known as dream eggs.

"Hey wait… we are not going to…" a big guy asked nervously.

"Indeed" she said jumping out of the cliff, she went straight to the net and grabbed one of the threads then made and acrobatic turn regaining balance on the thread. She wait for some seconds and then let herself fall down, she took an egg while descending

"Is she trying to kill herself?"

"no, she's not" as soon as Kurapika said that, a gust of wind blew up lifting Menchi to the top of the mountain making her land on top of the cliff again.

"This cliff has air currents that help the newborns to fly to the net" said Netero

"Now I just have to boil it"

"Wait there's no way a person in his right mind will jump down there"

"This is what I've been waiting"

"UH??"

Gon's voice was heard as he and the other three jumped from the bridge followed by some other applicants, startling Menchi as she hadn't finished the explanation but no one heard her.

As they stood hanging on the string to regain their balance some jumped immediately after, just to get themselves killed because no air was blowing up.

While they where waiting for the air current, Noah was on top of the cliff besides Menchi and Netero watching the show, then Menchi spoke.

"Hey, are you giving up or are you mustering courage to do it?"

"Uh, neither of those, why you say so?"

"Because you just stay here, you need to got one of those eggs to pass, you know?"

"Ah, that's no problem I already got mine look here"

Noah pretended to take out a Dream egg from under his cloak for Menchi to look.

"Uh? when did you get it?"

"Just right after you jumped from the cliff"

"How come, how did you do it?"

"Hahaha, sorry but that's a secret, however, Netero-san should have noticed what I did so you can ask him later"

"Ohohoho, that was a really interesting technique"

"You flatter me hahaha"

They were talking carefreely but keeping their focus on the group. Down there Gon was the one leadind them and thanks to his keen senses they pass the test easily. After that everyone got back to the cliff with their eggs, they went to boil them finishing the exam.

Now that the second phase has ended Noah, Gon, Killua, Leorio and Kurapika are flying towards the place for the third phase, inside the airship Netero presented himself to the remaining forty three participants as the president of the committee for the Hunter exam, also Beans who was the one that gave them the tags at the beginning of the exam. Netero told them that he was supposed to appear at the final phase but now that he was there, he is going to stick around during the rest of the trip.

Then Beans told them they were free to do as the pleased until the 8 am of the next day, and they can go to eat at the dining room.

"Okay Gon, let's explore the airship"

"Okay!"

"How can they be so energetic? I'm exhausted"

"Me too"

"They are kids after all"

"You are not that old yourself, don't you Shin"

"What? I ain't a kid! I'm already an adult!"

"Hahaha, getting mad for that just says you are still a kid too" Kurapika teased

"Ugh… anyway I'm going to eat, what about you guys?"

"I'm going to sleep a bit as I said I'm exhausted"

"I'm gonna rest too"

"Okay, well… see you later guys"

Noah was starving so after asking for directions he went straight to the dining room, once there he got the food and sat on a corner of the room then he moved his mask slightly to allow him to eat. When he ate his fill he strolled around the airship looking for Gon and Killua, he walked for a while till he spotted them and went to greet them. They were talking when they felt a strong killing intent startled them except Noah who had already sensed Netero presence.

"It's something the matter?" Netero asked making Gon and Killua turned to his direction.

"Umm, Netero san, did you saw someone coming from there?" Gon asked

"No, I saw no one"

"You are pretty fast despite your age"

"Eh, that little trick you are flattering me"

"What do you want? You have to do nothing till the last phase, do you?" Killua barked

"Calm down Killua, you don't have to be so rude…

maybe he just feels lonely and wants someone to chat" said Noah trying to ease up Killua

"Hohoho, well something like that, by the way I would like to ask you… do you have any impression of your first time in the Hunter exam." Netero asked

"Yes! It was fun, and it hadn't been any written test that I feared" Gon

"I'm disappointing; I hoped the exam to be more difficult" Killua

"Well, despite I found pretty boring running for hours in that tunnel, I could say it has been funny. However, as Killua said it hasn't been as hard as I heard it would be" Noah

"I suppose the next phase will be more interesting"

"Well, I wouldn't know about that" Netero said feigning ignorance

"Let's go guys" Killua said a bit mad

"Hey, wait a moment…would you like to play a little game with me?"

"Game?"

"If you are able to defeat me I will make you Hunters!" said Netero getting Gon's attention while Killua looked warily to him.

After they agreed they followed Netero to the room in which the game is going to be played, the room was very big and arranged for training. Once inside he explained the game and the rules, if they are able to steal the ball from him before the airship arrives at its destiny, they will win. He told them they could attack how they please and he won't attack back.

Killua then took the first turn and began to walk around Netero, as he was walking multiples Killuas started to appear surrounding Netero and amazing Gon. Then Killua began his assault but Netero dodged him and kept doing it despite all his attempts, "Is he really an old man" Killua thought, afterwards he jumped forward and kicked Netero's leg with all his might, only to start jumping around crying in pain.

Gon then told Killua to change places with him earnestly, after he stretched a bit he feigned a frontal assault then he jumped getting out of Netero sight for a second before a loud sound was heard acompanied by cry of pain. The strategy was good but the jump was too high and end up hitting his head with the ceiling, making Killua yelled at him for wasting a good opportunity because at that moment Netero let his guard down.

After that Gon tried many times with no results, so they changed again but no matter what Killua tried he wasn't even close to steal the ball.

Meanwhile Noah was in a corner of the room seating crossed legs watching the game and eating some snacks.

"You look pretty comfortable over there kid, are you enjoying the show?" Netero asked

"Yes, pretty much. Do you want some old man?" Noah said offering his bag of snacks

"ohohoho, thanks. So don't you gonna play?"

"Yes I will! But ... "

"But?"

"Before that, why not let them go together, maybe that way they get a chance" Noah said

"What!!??" Killua snapped at Noah's comment

"Hohoho, that's a good idea… let's go kids show me what you got!"

Netero replied making Killua yelled at them but nonetheless he attacked alongside Gon, however, Netero kept dodging their attacks and from time to time he made them crashed with each other.

After almost an hour of fail attempts, Gon and Killua were out of breath. They got near each other and discussed about something, then they again took their stances and Gon sprinted forward to give a frontal attack or that was Netero thought as he was dodging Gon's kick but then the kid used his shoe to hit him on the chin and before he could recover Killua appeared behind him kicking his back, making the ball get out of his grip, next he attempted to steal the ball but Netero used his toe to send the ball in his direction making Killua failed again.

Just as the ball was going to get in his hands, out of nowhere a wild shoe appeared hitting the ball away from Netero yet again pissing he off, then both kids threw themselves to catch the ball; However, when they were about to catch it, Netero was pissed and became serious and power surged around him then he dashed forward like a rocket knocking the two out of the way and catching the ball.

"ohohoho, good try but not enough"

"That wasn't too adult like, you know Netero San"

While they were talking Killua was still on the floor and the air around him changed a bit, he stood up and began to pat the invisible dust on his clothes.

"Tch, that's it… I give up, I lost" said Killua

"Why? We still have time and before we almost made it" Gon replied

"You have no idea, do you? That old man hasn't even used his right hand and left leg… we lack the power to go against him, we could go after him for a year and still won't get the ball!"

"So you noticed I was thinking I had deceived you"

"You really know how to make me mad old man"

He said as he was walking to the door his sight was met with white and purple mask just in front of his face scaring him for a moment in front of him

"What...!?" he hadn't finished his sentence when Noah whacked his forehead with his finger.

"It hurts! Why did you do that?" he barked angrily with watering eyes.

"Because I feel like it"

Noah laughed nearing then put a hand on his shoulder and whispered to him.

"You won't be able to kill him"

"What!? what are you talking about?"

"Even if you attack him while he is asleep you won't be able to kill him"

"..."

"You could tell he is strong but that old man is more than he seems to be, so don't fool yourself"

Killua then glared at him still mad but he understood what he meant

"Also I haven't try yet, so why don't be a good kid and wait over there if you don't want to try again" Noah said

"You…I don't care, let's go Gon"

"No, I will play a bit more… "

"Ah, you didn't heard what I just said"

"Yes, but I want to at least force Netero san to use his right hand with the remaining time"

"... ah okay, well see you later I'm going to rest a bit"

Killua said and left, then Gon resumed his match against Netero that he gladly accepted and Noah just sat down again waiting for his turn.

After Gon finally forced Netero to use his right hand, he fell asleep almost immediately as he was exhausted after playing for more than four hours and also due to crashing head on the wall, literally. Noah moved him to a corner of the room and got in front of Netero.

"Well, now is my turn I guess"

"Let's begin kid, let's see what you got"

"Hahaha it will be my pleasure"

They stared at each other for a moment and then Noah moved his right foot a step back and the next moment he was in front of Netero, with his right hand he made ten steal's attemps in just a second but the old man dodged them all and jumped backwards to gain some distance between them; However, Noah used that moment to attack again and this time was a full out assault.

Before they touched the ground again they had already clashed sixty seven times in a couple of seconds.

"Really impressive boy but it's still not enough"

"That was just warming Netero san"

"Ohohoho, so are you getting serious already?"

Then Noah took off his cloak and armor throwing them to his side denting the floor because of the impact, next he took off his arms and legs training weights and put them besides his armor while Netero was looking at him amazed by the fact that he was insanely fast even carrying all those insane weights on him, then a grin appeared on his face as he began to stroke his white beard.

"Ohohoho, this have gotten interesting"

"Let's begin round two Netero san, I hope you won't go back on your words"
