Locked Up

A pair of bald warriors escorted Jia Bi Yu to what appeared to be a cell.

On the way, he spotted the first bald man he had followed to this place.

He gave a wink in the man's direction that did not go unnoticed by his escorts.

It wasn't like he was trying to be discrete about it either.

They both turned and glared at the same direction, as the bald man tried to hide within the crowd.

This made him stand out even more and before long, another guard came to detain him.

They were about to go find him anyways, as he was the last to return from the outside just before Jia Bi Yu had intruded into the place.

The bald man kept crying out that he was innocent and kept fidgeting about, annoying the guards so much that they just knocked him unconscious.

Despite how he looked, the bald man was quite a cowardly person.

Why else would he run, the second he saw Jia Bi Yu?

The guards tried to search Jia Bi Yu's body for anything that might aid in his escape, but with a single glare from him, they dared not moved a single step closer.

It didn't look like he had any possessions anyways, so it should be fine.

They were not polite with the unconscious bald man though, and directly stripped him down to his undergarments, before throwing him into the cell.

The two were locked together into one big cell.

There didn't seem to be any other cells in this place.

Jia Bi Yu sat down directly onto the floor and waited in silence.

He wondered if he should just break out of the cell, but decided against it as he still wanted to meet those elders that first bald warrior had talked about.

The bald man woke up not long after, finding himself with barely any clothing on.

He covered his body and looked fearfully at the closed eyed Jia Bi Yu.

"What have you done to me, you fiend!" he screamed with injustice.

Jia Bi Yu opened his eyes and turned to look at the cowering bald man with disgust.

"Even if you were totally naked and offered to me on a silver platter, I still wouldn't want you," he replied.

"Then where are my clothes?!"

"Ask the guards," Jia Bi Yu sighed.

The bald man looked out of the cell at the guards, and found the pile of his belongings on a table outside.

He breathed out a sigh in relief before turning to Jia Bi Yu, having noticed something.

"Why didn't they take off yours?" he asked in doubt.

Jia Bi Yu did not reply and just looked at him as though he was an idiot.

The bald man wisely chose to shut his mouth.

Jia Bi Yu started to hear mumbling from the side.

"This is all his fault.

Why do I have to get dragged into this?

I'm an honest man, living an honest life.

I am the victim here, yet he goes and glares at me.

Hmph Hmph Hmph.

Just wait until they find the evidence to prove my innocence.

I'm going to watch him happily from the outside."

Maybe it was better to keep him unconscious.

Before Jia Bi Yu can act on it, he heard footsteps coming towards their cell.

The bald man did not know that he had just barely escaped from something dreadful.

An old man, who was similarly bald, walked up to the front of the cell and the two guards bowed respectfully.

When the bald man finally noticed the new arrival, he threw his whole body at the bars of the cell, and cried out his injustices.

The old man ignored his pleas and instead observed Jia Bi Yu.

He couldn't feel any cultivation from the strange young man, and there were only two reasons for that.

It was either he had never cultivated and was a mere mortal, or his cultivation was a lot higher than his own.

He quickly signaled the guards the open the gates to the cell.

He did not know which of the two Jia Bi Yu was, but before knowing for a fact that Jia Bi Yu was harmless, it was better to be courteous to him.
