Synopsis

After dying, our main character found himself summoned by a young woman. She comes from a long line of summoners and had expected to partner up with a powerful being, like the rest of her family. Instead, she summoned a computer programmer, who from now on will be living inside her head. Powerless, he's unable to help her with the upcoming war. Disappointed that neither of them had been blessed by fate with some divine abilities, he decides to build a computer system inside her head himself.

A very interesting story so far! I really enjoy the dynamic between the male and female lead. Joshua is a "mad scientist"-type guy who loves tinkering and coming up with all sorts of ideas just for the sake of it; while Catherine is a more down-to-earth, but ambitious person. It's often hard to tell who is the realist or the idealist in this partnership, which only makes it more interesting. It also never feels like one is clearly superior and could work on their own, as they complement each other. Speaking of Joshua, it's rare to find a good web novel where the MC plays a supporting role. Even rarer is an actually interesting plot with some intrigue and nuance rather than a brawl-fest where power trumps all. Catherine is already making progress towards her goals by building allies and thinking about the big picture (while simultaneously trying to deal with a complicated scheme against her), so I hope this carries on. One complaint I have is that Joshua feels like too much of a caricature right now. Sure, he got to say his goodbyes, and I can understand that his eccentricity is also a coping mechanism. Still, the guy died not too long ago and now finds himself in a completely unfamiliar world, forced to fulfill a role he never agreed to. I just can't see him coming to terms with the situation that easily. Plus, he should have unexplored sides to him and room to grow as a person, so I hope to see some development later on to make him more human and interesting. Now comes the elephant in the room: the writing. It's passable for the most part, but the punctuation and paragraph structure need some work. Commas are sometimes abused (or not used when they should be) to make sentences way too long. Combined with the occasional gigantic paragraph, this can make the reading experience very frustrating. They're not too difficult to fix, though: make more liberal use of periods, colons, and semicolons to break things up; and try keeping paragraphs to at most 5-6 lines. All in all, this has some serious potential, so I'm looking forward to the next chapters.

WTF author? I removed this from my library years ago hoping to come back and read it after it had more chapters, tf is this? are you a snail? do you have less time than time has time? What's with you? are you having problems at home? do you require assistance? can I interest you in my windowless room with a computer for you to slave away and finish this book? I promise to feed you three meals a day.

This definitely isn't your run-of-the-mill summoning story. It's good enough that I've just now purchased the author's work on Amazon for Kindle. I think that makes this the first novel here on Webnovel I've bought to support the author's work. (That takes the novel to chapter 39 on Kindle). The writing quality is excellent, story development is logical and consistent, character design of the main characters are believable and the world background is very intriguing. The world background, in particular, has a sense of mystery and danger that sets it apart from most other "I have a reincarnated in another world with a system" stories. The only minor flaws of this novel are that the chapter releases have become a bit erratic, and some of the side characters could use more fleshing out. I'd like to see more interaction between the main characters and their adventuring party, for example. Sitting down at the campfire, exploring personal histories or telling stories... that kind of thing while not necessary to the main story, could help us relate to the supporting cast. In the end, I decided to purchase this book and support the author because I am really enjoying the story. I'd like to read more and see how the relationships develop as the main characters understand more about their world and each other.

Amazing story so far! It hasn't progressed that much(Ch 16 as of now) but I can't wait for the next update! Now you need more power stones and readers then more updates.

this novel is not worth reading on webnovel as it only begins to tell the story before ripping the rest of the book away as part of an Amazon deal. if it can't even be read why has it been posted? it is kinda sad considering that it looked like a decent story

I can only say one thing: I love this novel ❤ ❤ The characters deepen as you read and you can love them, especially with our MC, their jokes, their joy and fears ❤ I like that although the MC has its own advantages and weaknesses, and he knows his own ability, he is not desperate to get more power in any way, as is often seen in many other novels ❤ I love the world in which it develops, it has so many possibilities

Definitely not the same kind of the whole hoard of system stories that seemed to plague the site. The characters are decent, the plot is interesting, and the character's development is okay. It's a bit cringe at times, but it's really good overall. The first and second arc of the book is in Amazon, and as someone who had read it both in this site and bought the book, I can say it's worth my money.

This novel is amazing. The characters are interesting, and they will grow deepen in later chapters. Something that was VERY rare in other novels recently. I thought this will be like System based novels that seemed to be popping up every once in a while, and I think that will not stop soon. After the first few chapters, I expected the quality of the story to dropping. It was due to the two MCs, their characters seemed to be hard to be understood. Yet- the Author do not disappoint me at all, the characters really grow, and although they seemed ridiculous (well, maybe they actually are, at least for the Male MC I was almost certain... If not for-) they are good. Really good. In short, like I had said, this novel is AMAZING. Btw, for the volume 1, you can reach the Author in Discord for it. He will give you a free copy. I asked him a few days ago and he gave me one. You can find the link for Discord in the chapters, or synopsis page.

The only story where the "chip in the brain" plot device is actually sensible. Whether considering story development or character and world background, this novel is one of the best out there.

Love it! The main caracter is crazy genious whom always solve his problems in the most unexpected way. AND IT'S FUN!!! Yet the other carracters are not pushovers and i think more of them will get good background.

I really like that there's a logical reason that there's a system in this. It's pleasant to read despite the few small errors and occasional things that make me go hmm. ;) I like the characters so far. There are dozens of reviews here that say things more eloquently, but, it's fun and deserves the little stars.
