On a bright and seemingly peaceful night with a moon covered in clouds, a cabin sits on a lonely mountain. Inside the cabin are the barest of furnishings, a table, a chair, and a bed or something of the sort which has caved in on itself and appears to be unused from the blanket on the floor. A handsome youngish man with a beard and a large head of hair lays down on the blanket and snores repeatedly. A knock ensues on the door and the man grumbles as the snoring stops before he flicks his finger creating a small object that opens the door.
The people outside are seemingly shocked for a moment before laying down something gently kissing it and leaving. Faint sounds of crying can be heard as they leave. Someone says "it's necessary" the sniffles continue. The man continues rolls back over and laying down again and goes back to snoring. Many hours passed like this until faint noises can be heard from the bundle the man turning overlooks at it for a second then goes back to sleep. Then he turns around again as the bundle gets louder and glares at it which seems to make it cry louder.
He opens the bundle and finds an emerald-eyed baby with a little amount of black hair on its head. The baby stares at him and giggles at how wide the man's eyes have gone.
"They sent me a baby!" his voice seemed to contain incredible shock as he checked it all around but then as if realizing something thought to himself "Appraise" confirming that it wasn't a robot he laughed.
"They said I'd never get one with my methods being like this but they gave me one!" He started to do a jig and the baby looked at him in curiosity. Then talked to the baby looking at him like he did something weird."
"Can't say they're names the ears have walls or something. What did they say it was again? Can't understand those people with they're eccentricity and all. No, I'm not eccentric remember that baby. Take every job just like your parents I laughed at them but then they went and did it. Called em idiots I did, though you probably got their talent huh little Aeron." A ding seemed to go off in Aeron's head as he looked up confused at him the man "Oh that's the system put Merlyn as his surname" another Ding went off into his head. Aeron feeling like something was happening and stared at him.
"But if you didn't get it, well its fine I'll treat you well. Still, gotta go through my training and that will make you as talented as them if not more with your bloodline. Remember little boy my name is Wilson. You can have their well my last name now after being sworn brothers, Merlyn. Heard it comes from a very, very long line of powerful people from another world. Don't go flaunting it at people or they might come for ya. Okay okay. Then let's get started."
Wilson put his fingers on little Aeron Marlyn's head and Aeron felt something new get implanted there. His energy seemed to follow that path and he felt stronger than before.
"A little talented are you well we'll fix that smugness that will occur happens in all of us and if you aren't humble you're gonna die quick. Wait but if you got that you got that ability you could ohhhhhhh." Wilson face palmed then said
"You must be extremely talented cause you definitely got that in your eyes. Don't know how they changed the color of your hair but you're eyes definitely got a combination of em. The hair is nice together with your eyes what a pretty thing you got going on and I can't have that so let's get you some muscles. Oh yeah, you're a baby you probably can't understand me. Doesn't matter talking to you will comfort me and you can do this by instinct. Anyways rotate that energy you feel." Aeron heard a ding and another few dings also made the same noise.
"Do you feel any outside energy try and draw that in. As for the dings eventually, you can ignore em helps with concentration too."
Aeron felt more dings reverberate inside him and felt attached to the sky, earth, light, darkness and everything around him but felt that there were some things missing and as he felt them he decided to help them form from the environment. Then decided to create the ones that felt warmest and closest. A fire mixed with blue sparks appeared on his hands as he snuggled next to it. His bundle impressively seemed to not be harmed.
"Oh, you're a genius after all. Kinda expected after all." Wilson said as if he cares though inside was screaming "Talented and good bloodline he's like the protagonist or something. Wait his parents have screwed with my head too much but mysterious parents, talented and he has a good bloo- what have they done to me." Wilson slapped himself.
"Well gotta get you ready. Draw those things that feel close and store them." Aeron noticed that he could ignore the dings better and felt they weren't as loud as before another two louder dings came up as if to tell him not to ignore them.
"Anyways rotate it to that path and if you feel you can make it better do so. I'll check it though so you don't die from doing it wrong." Wilson said believing that anything that Aeron did he could do better after all he was older.
Oh, how wrong he was he thought back as he cringed next morning seeing how much it had changed. He felt wrong as he could barely see the original path and it too was slowly fading. He sat down to try it and felt himself progress much slower than with the original but much better than the one he gave him.
"How is he not even tired this is stupid most people get tired from altering a little bit. Might as well benefit from it though hehe I mean eventually ."
Aeron then proceeded to put it on the path he felt was right and then do what was magic according to Wilson for the next year as he felt his control over the elements getting better and better especially with fire and lighting as he felt closer to them like they were closest to him. Then with his sound blocking dings no longer hurt his head. He tried to walk eventually a half-a-year ago and slowly developed to the point where he could walk and then run.
He started what his Dad said was training and began to pull everything he felt inside his body that he stored and apparently what Dad said was elements to his feet for speed. He started sprinting for a minute before he fell over.
Later he got introduced to punching and kicking where he would spar with Wilson. And he would struggle and though not on the surface was extremely impressed with Aeron's speed of improvement. Wilson even though that he was like a protagonist before slapping himself and reminded himself that there was no way he succumbed to their corruption.
