World Martial Arts Tournament Begins

Kalan was now just one step from fully controlling his Legendary Super Saiyan transformation. He felt like he just needed one push. He felt slightly tempted to have his friends help him out, but was still worried he might kill them or something and decided against it.

"But I really feel itchy, I miss fighting... I guess I should suppress my Ki down and try fighting Turtle Hermit old man, he's really experienced in fighting. It should be interesting." Kalan thought, it had been a long time since he had a good fight. In Planet Sadala, all he could do was watch the fights, feeling helpless. Simply suppressing his Ki and fighting someone on same battle power wouldn't be fun. But if the opponent had refined skills, then it would be a fun battle, by matching his opponents Ki, Kalan could experience an exciting and intense battle. Kalan have not had many real battles, and still lacks fighting experience. Simply learning martial arts won't make you a master, you needed tons of fighting experience to improve your fighting style.

Kalan did not go find Frieza yet, we wasn't sure of how strong Frieza had become after the assassination attempt, he was sure Frieza would train and become much stronger. Because if he failed to kill Frieza, he would put Planet Carefree in danger. Frieza would suspect that more Saiyans had survived and maybe find his planet. Frieza was extremely talented as such Kalan would not underestimate him. He had instead planned for Fortune Teller Baba to help him divine if he had any strong opponent to fight.

"Maybe I should tour the world and see if I can gain more worshippers...?" Kalan really wanted to get more Origin Energy, he was so close to getting Ancient Saiyan bloodline, but it was so difficult to gather Origin Energy. He felt like he should pretend to be God and help all the people he meet. He wanted the whole Earth to worship him, he could then explore the universe while the System helped him generate a ton of Origin Energy.

"I should head back to Earth first... Once I get more proficient in lightning, I'll go to Mt. Rumble and practice under lightning strikes." Kalan planned.

Kalan teleported to his dojo and found Nam back.

"Nam! You're finally back!" Kalan said.

"Teacher, I've cleared the trials on Korin Tower." Nam turned around and upon seeing Kalan, bowed to show his respect.

"Well, obviously. It's been months since you left. What took you so long?" Kalan complained.

"Since teacher wanted me to train with the weighted clothes... It took much longer for me to clear the trials..." Nam said awkwardly.

"...Why would you train on a trial...?" Kalan asked dumbfoundedly.

Nam understood by now that he did not need to wear the set of weighted clothes weighing 60 kg during the trials and felt embarrassed. He had first climbed up the Korin Tower and then still worn the clothes to catch Korin to receive the "Divine Water". He had made the assumption that he was supposed to always wear the weighted clothes.

Kalan found out Bulma had come by a month ago and looked for him, but since Kalan had been crazily training and even forgot about instructing his dojo members since 3 months ago. No one had known where he was, leaving Bulma helpless, luckily she prepared her case of capsules and was not worried wherever she stayed. Be it comfort or entertainment, she had prepared everything. Apparently she had also taken lessons from Nam and started learning martial arts while waiting for Kalan to return, but she wasn't motivated and only occasionally went to seek guidance from Nam.

"Kalan! Where the hell have you been!?" Bulma yelled angrily at Kalan while pinching him hard.

"Bulma, I missed you!" Kalan gave Bulma a hug. Instead of pointlessly making excuses, he simply felt like hugging her.

"Hmph! Don't think I'll simply forget that. Also! You took advantage of me on the boat on purpose!!" Bulma continued saying, but stopped pinching after being hugged by Kalan. Instead she hugged back.

"Who told you to be so cute." Kalan teased.

"Hmph, I'll forgive you just this once." Bulma pouted.

"I even thought you'd miss the WMA tournament, since it's just a week away." Bulma said.

"Yeah... I kind of forgot the time while I was training...." Kalan said embarrassingly.

"I'm glad you picked up martial arts. Come, I'll personally teach you!" Kalan smiled and pulled Bulma to the training ground.

Bulma, who wasn't very motivated in learning martial arts with Nam, paid much more attention when Kalan taught her.

A week went past as the couple happily trained and lived together in the house Kalan created.

"Hm... I wonder if I have Chi Chi also learn martial arts, will she make Gohan aim for the strongest martial artist instead?" Kalan wondered after seeing how Bulma changed while learning martial arts from him. Chi Chi in the story always wanted Gohan to grow up as a scholar and disliked having Gohan fight. It was such a pity as Gohan had incredible potentials even surpassing Goku, if Gohan were allowed to fully unearth that potential he could become the strongest fighter.

"I should recruit her after the WMA tournament." Kalan thought.

"Kalan, shouldn't we be going soon? You'll be late for the registration." Bulma reminded.

"Alright, let's leave now." Kalan smiled.

Kalan materialized a giant carpet and had everyone step on it. The over 50 dojo members obediently stepped on the carpet even though they were confused. Kalan seeing everyone on the carpet, used telekinesis to float the carpet like a flying carpet. Everyone looked amazed from the carpet, Kalan without caring steered the carpet toward the Martial Arts Temple.

The group arrived outside the Martial Arts Temple while also amazing the people there with the flying carpet. The carpet landed on the ground and the group stepped off the carpet while still mesmerized by flying in the air for the first time.

"Hi, I'm Kalan. I would like to register." Kalan walked up to the registering counter and told the staff.

"Oh! It's you, I recognize you! I saw you win last WMA tournament's championship." The staff said happily.

Nam also went and registered, a few of Kalan's dojo members also felt courageous and registered while the rest intended to cheer on.

A few bystanders recognized Kalan as they shouted out Kalan's name and last WMA's champion upon seeing him. Kalan's dojo members felt proud but also embarrassed, remembering how they tried to chase away their dojo master.
