King Kai's Taste

Kalan could see all kinds of aliens on Grand Kai's Planet. They were all people that had died in the name of justice and rewarded with their bodies in the Other World so they could continue training martial arts.

Some were weak some were strong, but all in all. They were much stronger than most people Kalan had met in the living world. The weakest had had at least a thousand in battle power. The stronger ones ranging all over 10,000. Kalan also felt several with battle power over one million. Kalan looked around the planet excitedly. The Ki he sensed did not mean it was their absolute power, many would only show their true strength in real battles. One with only one million in battle power could very well have hundreds of millions of battle power.

Many of the fighters, upon seeing King Kai, came over and greeted. King Kai had quite an influence here, but it wasn't odd considering his position as the overseer of North Galaxy. He also taught many heroes from the North Galaxy, over the many years, a large number of them would come to respect King Kai.

"Hohoho. These guys have trained for over 2,300 years. They are your seniors." King Kai said.

"No wonder King Kai always praised me as talented... They're so weak... But having hundreds of thousands in battle power is considered high in the living world... But to only achieve it after over 2,000 years..." Kalan shook his head and thought.

"Lucky I have the system. Otherwise I might be just as useless as them..." Kalan felt lucky he had the system, he did not see himself as someone talented. He was just a normal teenager before he was reborn in the Dragon Ball World. There were many strong guys in the Dragon Ball World. If he didn't have the chance to choose his race, if he didn't have the system's bloodline ability, how could be have reached his current strength?

King Kai had gotten over his 'death' and happily bragged about his greatness and brought Kalan toward the building where most fighters from North Galaxy resides.

They reached Grand Kai's resident. It looked similar to the White House. Grand Kai also had a car outside his house. It was a light bluish colored car without roof.

"Ahahaha! This is the car I wanted! It's Grand Kai-sama's 1958 Cadillac Series 62! How nice, I want one of these too!!" King Kai jumped around the car excitedly and inspected every single detail.

"System scan the car." Kalan decided to have the system replicate this car for King Kai later when they returned to his planet again. He had after all, promised to give King Kai a new car.

"The hind end is so sexy! Wow! It's the greatest! It's the greatest!!" King Kai looked lovingly at the car, his face flushed red.

"1958 Cadillac Series 62 is his waifu!?" Kalan looked dumbfounded at King Kai and imagined him married to the car.

"North Kai!" Someone suddenly shouted.

"South Kai! It's been a long while. What are you doing here?" King Kai recognized the person shouting. It was the South Kai, he had pink skin and clothes of similar style to King Kai and was a head taller than King Kai.

"I'm here to give guidance to my fighters from the South Galaxy. Unlike someone who likes to relax and ignore his people." South Kai seemed to hint King Kai being lazy and always stays on his planet instead of giving guidance to the fighters from North Galaxy.

"What?! What do you think I'm here for then!?" King Kai yelled angrily. The 4 Kais all seemed to have rivalry between each other.

"Ah? Ah! Aaah!!" Suddenly the South Kai shouted in surprise.

"What? What's wrong?" King Kai hurriedly asked.

"Ahahaha! You're dead! You died!!" South Kai started laughing happily.

"Hmph." King Kai had no way to counter South Kai.

"This is such great news! I have to inform West Kai and East Kai!" South Kai scurried away.

"Hey!!" King Kai shouted angrily at the disappearing figure.

"Look at what you've done. If you only had waited a few thousand years before coming to Grand Kai's Planet. This would not have happened. What poor luck for me to meet another Kai just as soon as we came here..." King Kai blamed Kalan.

"A few thousand years? I haven't even lived a hundred! I'll die from boredom and also miss all the canon stories if I did!!" Kalan complained in his mind.

"Well..." Kalan suddenly plucked his and King Kai's halo and played with it. Spinning them on his hands.

"Eh? Eeeeh!?!?" King Kai exclaimed in shock. It was possible to nudge the halos but not remove them. Which could only mean those were fake halos.

"Y-You!" King Kai pointed his finger shakingly at Kalan.

"Hehehe! My joke was fun right, King Kai? I learned so much from you!" Kalan pushed all the blame on King Kai.

"I'm not dead. I'm not dead! Hooray!" King Kai jumped up and clinked his feet happily.

"You really put me through some suffering, Kalan. But. Hehehe. Let's see how East Kai and West Kai will react to South Kai's 'lie'. Hohoho!" King Kai first blamed Kalan, but suddenly thought of South Kai's consequences upon discovering the truth. He started laughing expectantly and hurriedly snatched the two halos from Kalan's hands and buried them deep in the ground so no one would find them.

They reached the building where the North Galaxy's heroes usually gathered together and trained. An endless flow of people continuously came out of the building in front of them and greeted King Kai respectfully.

"You called, King Kai-sama?"

All kinds of people stood in front of Kalan, all of them humanoids. Some looking more similar to humans, others just like aliens.

"I guess it's not right to call you a newcomer since you're still alive. But it doesn't hurt to introduce you earlier, after all you'll be coming here sooner or later." King Kai said.

"King Kai, are you cursing me? Are you still mad at me?" Kalan looked at King Kai with innocent eyes.

"This is Kalan, he'll be joining you guys shortly. Due to certain reasons, he has come here while still 'alive'. He's pleased to meet everyone." King Kai ignored Kalan and introduced him to the swarm of fighters in front of them.

"Pleased to meet you!" The crowd of fighters said simultaneously.

"These are the martial artists from the North Galaxy." King Kai introduced, no wonder the fighters were so respectful toward King Kai.

"This is Mijorin, he fought bravely against fiendish aliens 700 years ago." King Kai introduced a dog face man.

"This is Sarta, he defended his home planet from a collision with a meteor 3,500 years ago." King Kai introduced a human looking man with pointy ears and a red gem on his forehead.

"And, like you, Olive here came from Earth, and he is still immortalized as a hero in mythology." King Kai introduced the blond haired man standing in the front of the crowd of fighters, he seemed to be the leader of the fighters. Turns out Olive was a human, his skin color was also the same as human's. Very similar to Kalan's own skin tone. Olive had a tall built body, very muscular and long hair reaching his shoulders. He wore a white cloth like a toga like the ancient Greeks.

It seemed that King Kai mistook Kalan as someone from Earth, but it wasn't completely incorrect either. Kalan came to meet King Kai from Earth with Kami's help. And he had continued staying on Earth for a long time now.

"How come I've never heard of this Olive before..." Kalan thought. He had stayed on Earth for a long time, yet never heard any legends or mythologies about Olive.
