At the rooftop of a building was a man who was smoking while admiring the structures of such a beautiful city.
"How magnificent, do you know how long it took to build this city?"
A woman in her twenties was standing some distance from him frowning from the smoke coming from the cigarettes but her eyes were looking at the commotion happening down below them and as for the city stuff he was spouting she didn't care much. She had the same eyes as the man standing next to her and some resemblances could be seen between them.
"We are not here to for sightseeing old man, I'm done with the stuff we came here to do and I found it"
"Ahh… can't you be more open minded for ounce my daughter, this is your last time seeing your father the least you could do is enjoy the view of this city we grew up in"
"Since that day you left I had no one and we were both suffering from her living us, the best you could have done was comfort your daughter like a normal father but you had to run around making useless noises that almost got us both killed. So forgive me for not calling you father after meeting 12 years letter and the only thing you could ask for was help"
To see his daughter so angry at him made him think of the past, his mistakes as a husband to his wife and a father to his daughter. The past had his best and worst memories, his hands had built this city to where it now, back then he was still in his twenties with his friends and the building he was standing on was his masterpiece.
"I'm sorry for what happened in the past, those were my sins and I am paying for them."
"Yes and she died because of it, for that I will never forgive you"
He could only sigh at this hate his daughter had for him, it was reasonable thought. His dealings in the past lead to the death of his wife and that was something he would not even forgive himself for.
"Boss there's call from our man outside; they say Officer Sue has just arrived in an SUV"
"Let's finish up then, round the hostages up in the cafeteria and carry out the finale part of the plan"
"There was many ways this could have ended and you choose this…if you had done any good deeds in this life I would have wanted you to say hello to mom in heaven but alas"
"Haha…. huh my daughter, I'm going to miss these little chats of ours. Now then let's end this chaos we have brought to my city with a bang."
He sounded excited about the coming phase of things and following one of his masked men with his daughter following behind they headed to the cafeteria where a bunch of hostages were being held. A smile was on his face seeing all these, these events had been in the makings for a while now and it was time to get revenge for his wife.
