Sue Vs The Blackout 2

"Code 66, I repeat code 66…"

"Officer Sue in route, what's the location"

"105 Linet Rd, possible gun shots fired be ready for anything"

Sue had decided to focus on her job; she did not like the fame she got from the last situation as it has gotten her into trouble with her colleagues lately. Although no one says it she can see it on their faces and even now she still hasn't gotten a partner as whispers of not wanting to work with a celebrity are going around.

These days she has been mostly focusing in her observation skills, although she was still a patrol cop she has managed to remember the entire wanted posters in the station and doing all she can to improve in her line of work.

Arriving at the scene she starts to hear noises and from the sound it's making she frowns as this was not the first time hearing this noise. Getting out of the car she walks to the convenient store where a bunch of high school boys were playing with fireworks. From their uniforms they were local and seeing their behavior this was not the first time doing this at such a late hour.

"Wow, wow, look what we have here"

"Is she not that celebrity cop from the news who got a medal?"

"Now that's someone I want to be arrested by"

"Haha"

The high school boys were now focusing their attention to sue coming their way and you could see that they were in to make trouble for her. These kinds of behaviors are not the first for her and only the faces are what are new.

"Control this is unit 5 its a false alarm just a bunch of idiots setting of fireworks"

"Control do you read me"

"Control"

Sue started to frown seeing no respond from the control unit as this was a very unusual situation to happened, the control unit was a 24hr service for departments of both cops and civilians so for her radio to not go through was something to worry about .

"Hey lady who are you calling idiots"

Sue's was already focusing on the radio not bothered with them and as much as she tries she could not get through, the radio was no longer working and when she got her phone to call and ask what was happening she was even more freaked as her phone no longer had service.

She was just thinking that these kinds of situation only happens when there is mostly a blackout and only takes a few seconds before the backup generator kicks , then out of nowhere the entire area went dark.

Noises started coming out of the neighborhood but some areas with generators were now operating but her radio was still not working. Such a situation was not normal and something had happened to cause both the phone service and radio frequency to not work.

"You all run up home, it's late and if I see any of you again causing noise I will not hesitate to shot"

Getting in her car she headed straight to the station and with the power out the traffic lights were out so it took her half an hour just to get there. Things were not good at the office; although the emergency generator was running it was quite and this type of quite in such a situation was a scary one.

Police officers were running out everywhere and also nowhere as the radios were out and the service Center was out to be able to hear any request for help.

"Does anyone know what's happening here?"

"Why are the radios not working?"

"Is it a terrorist attack?"

"I can't get in touch with my babysitter"

All types of noises were happening inside and no one knew what was happening. There was restless as no one was providing answers and most of these officers where parents who were worried about their families.

"Quite!...i just got off the satellite phone with the commissioner and he says the situation is not good, all around the country except for certain satellite phones everything that works with signals is down, the power grid was hit by a hacker is all they think might have happened and everyone is in the dark right now. So it now falls into our duty to go out there and assess the situation to the best of our abilities.

There is going to be chaos out there until all this is cleared up, so I need all of you to get your heads in the game and do your fucking job, I know you are worried about your families and so am I, but we took this job knowing full well that situations like these might happen so please let's be police officers

MOVE OUT I want every patrol car in high density areas and control any disturbances out there and don't hesitate if the situation calls it that's all for now"
