A classic villainess/heroine tale that puts a new twist on the genre. This Industrial Era fantasy tells the story of Nadia—a secret agent with a dry love life and an unhealthy addiction to visual novels—as she Transmigrates into the body of Vivian Moore, the villainess of the novel, from a family of business CEOs.
All the destruction flags were raised, and Vivian was at the end of her rope. Her life was about to take a turn for the worst, but with Nadia behind the wheel, she seized Fate by the hairs of its head and yanked it into a sharp U-turn.
No more weakness was allowed! If something wanted to get rid of her, she would stab it to death. If someone wanted to trample over her, she would shoot them into a beehive. And there was no stopping her because she had the strongest weapon a main character can have: the System!
As always, Don offer us a well written novel with his familiar and excellent prose. The isekai genre may be a bit saturated recently, the take of Don is still fascinating, especially with a female lead for a change. I write this review at the beginning of this novel but I still except great tings to come! Maybe a second review when the 100th chapter lends? Probably. But as always, great work Don! Please continue to charm us with your magic.
Author here, fellow mortals! Name is Don, I am a writer since 2018. My previous stories are Dragonborn Saga and The Unholy Mage, which are on hiatus for some time now. I hope to gain your support and encouragement on this story as well.
I am really loving this novel. I usually don't like female mc, but I can't help it with this one. Please keep up this awesome work author.[img=recommend][img=update]
Very good so far, i do feel that Vivian could be doing more with her future knowledge but I am only 15 chapters in so far so we shall see as the story progresses
It's a really good one. Keep it up, author. [img=recommend]
Loved this book so far. MC has a great backstory, she’s strong but not physically powerful in this world of magic and supernatural opponents. She’s smart and has some extra knowledge and a “system” that helps her by providing her with some modern tech, but it demands hard quests with formidable consequences. She mixes with the original owner of the body in a way that you don’t forget the original character. Her relationships with her father, maid, and head knight are intriguing- they all seem like real people. The antagonists are fun to hate and intimidating so there is suspicion in the plot. There’s a super cute Princess Charlotte who adds to the plot and enjoyability of the story. Cute but important to the plot and with some integrity. It’s a great read. Two big thumbs up.
Delivers exactly what the title pormises. I personally find the whole "Villainess Isekai" subgenre very compelling and this is very much in that niche, if you're tired of this kind of story there isn't much subversion of genre tropes so you'd likely not like this. The protagonist is great and takes an active role with lots of agency, although perhaps she is a little bit of a Mary Sue, since the resolution to quite a few of her problems seem to come from previously unestablished elements of the story, such as revealing a hidden talent of her pre isekai self or a surprise introduction of a character who is friendly to her that serves as a deus ex machina for the current conflict. Overall however, I've been enjoying this story a lot. I like when villainess protagonists use cunning and people skills to subvert societal norms. I love the empowerment fantasy of being sneaky and manipulative in a protagonist instead of an antagonist and I like how proactive these villainesses are when given foreknowledge of the setting.
I enjoyed the book so far. The MC isn't bleeding heart hero and yet she isn't evil nice and in between which I find relatable. And now I am just adding filler to finish off the word count minimum. I don't know who that of this idea but they should be shot. Again great story I highly recommend.
Personally, this is the type of story I like. Here's a breakdown. There is politics, girlbosses, no male harem, subtle romance, some attention to world-building, and the characters are established with distinct personalities and motives. What more would a man ask for? Perhaps I can complain about the shift in point of view between first and third person, but it didn't significantly impact the narrative.
eeeeeeeehm............ The cover for this book is absolutly horrible if I didn't know it was the Don who wrote this I would never read this so please change it to something more flaring. Also make the synopsis more intresting as it doesn't give the reader enough information about the story and the direction of the plot personal opinion but female mc sucks but since its the infamous Don who wrote this I'm going to give it a try (please bring back unholy mage)
