Rodrick Castle (Part 1)

A few moments later...

Jay, Rodrick, Cidney were currently at the dining room. Due to Rodrick's persistence, Jay did not have any choice but to join the two for lunch.

"Dad, who is the new guy?" Cidney asked as she looked at Jay weirdly. She had the same features as she had when she was on the Fatelord Plane. Short black hair, pink headband, and she was currently wearing a pink dress that matched her cute appearance.

"Cid, this guy is Jay. He is the specialist I was talking about..."

While Rodrick and Cidney talked to each other, Jay silently ate and enjoyed the steak he was eating.

"I wonder if any of my skills still work?" Jay thought to himself since he can still use the Mind Room whenever he wants. Since that is the case, it might be the same for his skills and spells.

"Jay. May I ask what are you exactly going to do with my daughter?" Rodrick suddenly asked since he saw Jay was being left out of the conversation.

"In truth is, I don't know at the moment. But since I remember everything that happened in the game, I might have something that may help her." Jay said as he looked at Cidney.

"Alright. Let's finish our lunch first before we talk about this." Rodrick said as he let out a burp and continued eating.

...

The three went to the living room after that and Jay asked Cidney to lie down on one of the sofas.

"May I ask what's this all about mister?" Cidney asked as she did what Jay asked.

"I want to check if there are any changes in your body... I mean if your body is still the same as your body in the game."

Rodrick just sat down silently on a couch and drank some cola while observing Jay to make sure he does not do anything perverted to his daughter.

Before doing anything else, Jay first tried to confirm something and closed his eyes as he sat beside Cidney.

"What's he doing?" Cidney and Rodrick had the same thought, oblivious to the fact that Jay was currently inside the Mind Room testing out some stuff.

--- Mind Room

'Egg Bomb!'

'Blood Darts!'

'Ethereal Body!'

Jay quickly executed these three skills. For some reason, it worked even though there were no traces of magicka in his body.

"Is it because of blood magic or Spirit Power?" Jay thought to himself as he approached the Viewing Orb.

"Tell me a way how I can help Rodrick's daughter." Jay said softly as he touched the Viewing Orb. Just as he was preparing for his consciousness to be sucked inside the Viewing Orb, a deep and harsh voice spoke to him.

"Remove every trace of magicka in her body and she will turn back to normal. If you want the opposite effect, repair her fragmented soul."

Even thought Jay already had an answer how he should cure Cidney, he got curious about the fragmented soul the voice was talking about, so he asked the Viewing Orb again.

"There are a lot of ways to repair a fragmented soul. But since you do not know any soul arts, the only way you can repair a fragmented soul is by using magicka. The problem with this method is that it will entirely drain the magicka reserve in your body."

"Are there any substitutes for magicka?" Jay asked since he knew he did not have a magicka reserve unlike the rest of the players in Hellson's Dimension.

"Blood Magic and Spirit Power will work. But the moment you use either as a substitute, you will be in a weakened state for three days."

Jay stopped asking the Viewing Orb questions and left the Mind Room. The moment he left, Roasted Boar suddenly appeared at the center of the Mind Room.

"How the hell could Jay still use this godly tool? Isn't he back on Earth?" Roasted Boar thought to himself as he sat down in a lotus position and started practicing his Spirit Power.

...

It took around 10 minutes before Jay opened his eyes again. Rodrick and Cidney was still wondering what was up with Jay when he suddenly placed his right hand on Cidney's forehead.

"Before I begin, let me ask you a question." Jay said to Cidney since he did not know if she wants to return back to normal or if she wants to live the same life as she did back on Hellson's Dimension.

"Do you want to return to normal or do you still want your life to be the same just like the one you had at the game?" Jay asked.

"Huh? What do you mean by that Jay?" Rodrick was the one who spoke up and asked.

"If I return her to normal, she won't have any of her abilities from the game. She will return to the same old life she had here on Earth. But think about it Rodrick, since you said that the Earth has changed during these past two years, she might need her abilities in order for her to protect herself or survive in case of another cataclysmic year or something." Jay said while he looked at Rodrick who was thinking hardly about this.

"Cidney, it's your decision. I may be your father, but I won't always be there to protect you." Rodrick said as he calmed himself and drank another bottle of cola. At this point, Jay was wondering if Rodrick had some kind of magic that helps him not get diabetes.

"Dad. I want to live just like the way I did back at the game." Cidney said resolutely and looked at Jay in his eyes, gesturing him to get on with whatever he must do.

Jay grabbed Cidney's hands and he started to use Blood Magic. He slowly merged his blood with Cidney by pushing his blood out of his pores. In the eyes of Cidney and Rodrick, it appears as if Jay was starting to glow in red.

"Damn. The Viewing Orb did not tell me it will hurt this much!" Jay gritted his teeth as he continued.

"The Soul Space takes the shape of a person's body. So in order to invade her Soul Space and use my Blood Magic to repair her soul, I need to spread my blood all over her body." With this thought in mind, Jay continued to grit his teeth as he tried not to scream in pain.

Cidney and Rodrick did not know about Jay's struggle and just waited patiently. An hour later, Jay finished up and he was sweating all over. He even started to shudder and almost banged his head on the coffee table beside him.

"Jay, are you okay? Don't force yourself too hard." Rodrick said as he supported Jay and let him lay down on the floor.

"Sorry for worrying you...thanks." Jay said while he felt his entire body going numb from the pain. He couldn't even lift any of his limbs right now.

"Cidney, how are you?" Jay asked with a ragged voice. After saying this, he slowly lost consciousness

"My body... feels lighter."

Cidney stood up and for some reason, she suddenly punched the air, causing a thumping sound in the wind due to the strength she used in her punch.

"Holy mother of... it worked! Jay, whatever you did, it worked!!!" Rodrick shouted happily as he embraced Cidney in his arms.

"Umm... Jay?" Rodrick suddenly felt weird that Jay wasn't speaking. He then saw that Jay was already unconscious.

"JAY!!!"

Just at the same time Rodrick shouted, Cidney suddenly became dizzy and sat back down on the sofa.

"Cid, what's wrong?" Rodrick started panicking as he grabbed a medicine bottle from his pocket and popped a pill in his mouth.

"Dad... my memories..." Uttering this few words, Cidney became even more dizzier and she fell asleep.

"Wait... don't tell me her memories from the game are returning... Just what did Jay do?" Rodrick thought to himself as he quickly grabbed Jay and Cidney and carried their unconscious bodies to the bedrooms located at the second floor of his mansion.

Moments later, he returned to the living room and snapped his fingers, clearing the coffee table of the drinks.

He then took out his phone and called someone.

"Zhao, bring me the records of every DATOF victim who woke up and find them for me."

"Sir Rodrick, do you mean put them under surveillance or bring them to you?"

"Put them under surveillance for now. I may need to meet them in the following days."

After making that call, just as Rodrick was going to turn on the TV and watch something to kill time, his phone rang and he immediately answered the call.

"Sir Rodrick, bad news. The Vineyard is growing in size again."

When Rodrick heard this, he had a ghastly expression on his face and asked whoever was calling him to tell him the details.

"The Vineyard managed to spread all across Sector III and IV. Sector V is also going under a lot of trouble due to three portals opening there."

Rodrick knew that the situation this time was really serious so he decided to take full action.

"Call every S-Rank adventurer in the Iron Domain. Send them to deal with the Vineyard together with every agent available. As for Sector V, sent every other adventurer there."

Rodrick suddenly took of his clothes and stripped down until only his underwear remained. He then punched his chest lightly, causing some nanotech to activate and cover his entire body completely. He now looks like a chubby version of a blue power ranger.

"Damn. I should have chose another design." Rodrick thought to himself as he looked at his belly sticking out like a sore thumb.

"Screw it."

He then left the mansion as he continued to listen to the one calling him.
