CHAPTER ONE
I was in utter shock. Last few days which have just passed by, were the most surprising moments of my life. I wanted to pinch myself to make sure that it was not a dream. But I knew that all that happened is not a movie scene. It was all real and it all happened to me.
I was in midst of my thoughts when the surgeon Dr Jadhav came to me and smiled. He touched my forehead with affection and said, " Don't worry, everything will be fine. Have belief in God.
He again smiled but I could judge a slight tension in his eyes.
He continued, "So we are proceeding for the operation and we are a team of 4 doctors. Dr Srinivas is an anesthesiologist and ...
I interrupted him in between and asked, " Can I meet them."
Dr Jadhav had a habit on rubbing his nails. I noticed him doing this again since we met. I think he does so when he is in tension or is highly irritated.
" Meet whom?" He asked and looked at his team. "Now!" He was sounding bit angry.
" Yes Doctor, Now only... before you begin the operation... I just want to meet them... everyone could see the tears in my eyes which I was trying to hold on.
"Ok, and whom do you want to meet Ms Adish..sh... Ms Iyer?" He fumbled mentioning my name.
Mr Shankar, Mr Madhav and Sanat. I want to talk to them and please ask them to come together.
" Who are they to you, madam" asked the elderly nurse Astha doctor moved outside the room.
"They are the THREE MEN OF MY LIFE." I replied and closed my eyes slowly.
