"hey Shiki, can you make me some dessert for takeout it doesn't matter what you make." Telling her as I see her walking to my table.

"right away." She answered with a face white and pale looking before walking away

Huh that is weird why did she look scared as soon as she noticed the group of men in the corner, I'm starting to get a bad feeling now. Should I stay just in case they try to do something to her, I could just wait and see what's going on before I butt my nose in it. I was too deep in thought that I didn't notice she walked toward me with my order.

"Here is your order sir, I hope you like it." I looked up and noticed she had a forced smile on her face now I know something is definitely wrong since she will never call me sir.

"is everything alright you don't look well maybe you should sit down and get some rest?" I asked with a sincere voice as I got up and pulled a chair for her to sit on.

She looked at me for a bit before she finally sat down, I could see her shaking as she stared at the group of men. I reached my hand and grabbed hers as I looked at her eyes and said

"there is no reason to be scared as long as I'm here no one will dare to harm a single hair on your head."

She looked at me as tears ran down her face, I put my arm around her and pulled her into my embrace. After a while I could feel her tears drenching my shirt as I just waited for her to calm down, before asking her what is going on. As I was about to say something to her I sense a strong killing intent coming from the group of men sitting at the corner next to us. I looked over and noticed that they had lust and hatred showing on their faces. I stared at them with hatred emitting out of my eyes as they stood up and walked over to us.

"hey bastard what the hell do you think you are doing to one of my future wife's huh… do you know who I am I can have people kill you with just a snap of my fingers!" he screamed at me with a smug face

I could feel Shiki's body shaking as she buried her face deeper into my chest as she started to beg.

*Shiki point of view*

He hasn't come down since he ate breakfast I wonder what he is doing right now. As I was cooking I heard quick and heavy footsteps coming from outside the kitchen, which made look out in curiosity. When I stepped out I saw knights standing in two straight rows making a walk way from outside the inn leading to a royal carriage. I walked up to the register and asked if they needed anything.

"excuse me, is there anything I can help you today?"

"you have been summoned by the king to go to his castle, so please follow us to the royal carriage."

On the way to the king I start to wonder why he has summoned me, I haven't done anything wrong. It took us ten minutes to finally reach the castle when I got off the royal carriage I was escorted to the king's throne room. I bow down when the king walks over to his throne.

"I have called you today to ask a question."

"what kind of question my lord?"

"I wanted to know if you have a husband?" the king asks with a smile in his face

"no, my lord, I found a man that I love but he doesn't know yet." I answered the king truthfully since I can't lie but what's with this bad feeling I'm getting.

"hahaha… good then I will have you become a concubine to a prince from another country since you are not protected by the world law, he will arrive today so go home and get ready Men take her back."

"my lord I don't want to get married yet!"

"I don't care what you want this is for the good of this country and I won't let one of my people marry a bastard like him now leave before I lose my temper!"

The king yells as he sees me being pulled away

They brought me back and say that my husband will pick you up from my inn as they leave. I forced myself to walk to my kitchen, so no one can see me as I start to cry because I won't be able to marry the man I fell in love with.

When I was crying I hear a group of men shouting for the customers to leave. I start to pick myself up as I hear them say that every soldier will each have a turn with me before they kill me which caused me to shake as I was overwhelmed with fear as I lose all hope.

I started to walk out since there is nothing I could do as I see my first love walking to a table and sit down. I tried to look normal, but my face was pale from fear that's when he starts to order

"hey Shiki, can you make me some dessert for takeout it doesn't matter what you make."

"right away." I quickly walk back and start to cook his dessert. I quickly finish and bring it to him.

"Here is your order sir, I hope you like it."

As I was about to walk away he stops me and ask, "is everything alright you don't look well maybe you should sit down and get some rest?"

I was about to say no when he stood up and pulled a chair for me to sit down. When I sat down I look at the men and notice they looked at me full of lust which causes me to start to shake again.

"there is no reason to be scared as long as I'm here no one will dare to harm a single hair on your head."

I look at him and feel his hand hold mine hand and a strong feeling of protection and warmth emitted of him, which made me feel safe. But when I remember what my future holds, I began to cry. I could feel his arms hug me and pull me into his embrace, and all of my pent-up feelings came out as I cried on his chest.

I was extremely happy as he hugged me which made me forgot everything that was happening, that is until I heard a man's voice come from the group.

"hey bastard what the hell do you think you are doing to one of my future wife's huh… do you know who I am I can have people kill you with just a snap of my fingers!"

I began to shake again more uncontrollably as I was filled with fear again. I pushed my face deep into his chest and beg, "help me I have no one else to turn to. I don't want to go with him please I will do anything you ask of me!"
