Maiden Of The Splitting Moon

Ming Yue looked around, searching for some sign that the Coalition Force had been mobilized. But there was nothing like that.

The only thing protecting the city were the barriers and the defenses on the walls. Cannons lined up, firing volley after volley into the sky. The corpses of their unfortunate targets fell from the sky as a bloody, mutilated mess.

Walking through the streets of the first layer, she finally understood what Dui Da meant.

"So they're just fodder then? No one is going to come to protect them?"

It seemed like the only choice was to retreat to the shelters underground or fend for themselves. There wasn't even a real effort to hold the first layer for as long as possible.

The streets were littered with bodies and flowing with blood.

"Everyone in this area managed to escape, I just hope the rest were able to escape as well."
