With the mission accepted the system continued it's tutorial.
[The system will randomly issue missions as well as corresponding rewards based on the circumstances the User may find himself in. Please note that a missions difficulty level is determined by how difficult it would be to complete based on the User's strength at that point in time. The difficulty level can range from 1 to 9 with 1 being the least difficult.]
Lake nodded to himself, 'Seeing as my current mission is level 5 difficulty, it should count as a medium difficulty mission. Yet it is already very difficult, so how much harder would a level 9 be?'
Lake shivered at the thought and went back to listening to the system.
[Besides the missions and User's info, there is also the skills tab, minimap, and inventory.]
Meanwhile the display in Lake's head changed once again. This time it featured the skills tab.
------------------------------------
Skills:
[Active Skills]
(Quick Feet) Lvl 5 - When used energy is drained to hasten the movement and strength of the legs to give a 10% speed boost.
(Hardened Fist) Lvl 5 - Upon activation immediately increases durability and strength of fist to increase attack by 10%
[Passive Skills]
(None)

'Wow, aren't those my Evo Styles? I didn't think the system would count those as skills, it would seem I need to increase my arsenal of styles as well.' Lake thought to himself.
'I assume those numbers next to the skill names are just the mastery of that skill, but I don't know what the max is for the skills.'
"What is the max level for skills system?"
[The skill level ranges from 1 to 10, with 1 being initial proficiency and 10 being full mastery. It is same with Passive skills, which will remain active regardless of energy capacity.] Lake nodded in understanding, 'So it'd be a style like copper body which would enhance the body's toughness while adding on to the physical fitness.'
"System, what are those question marks at the bottom?"
[That is content not yet unlocked by the User, upon meeting certain conditions it will be unlocked and be available to see.]
The system truly was quite mysterious, but it seemed like it was truly there to assist him in getting stronger, and to Lake it was nothing short of a blessing.
He was quick to accept that there was a system within his mind as all he could think about was getting stronger and as long it could do that without permanently harming him he was fine with it.
After it answered Lake's question the display in his head began to switch again. Another display appeared, but this time there was a large map that popped up instead.
The map was in the shape of a circle that displayed a top view of Lake and his surroundings, since he was at home he saw his house and his neighbors homes as well. He could even see the trees and small paths that were otherwise hidden from view.
On the map, Lake's location was shown as a blue dot in the center at his home. In his house there was also a green dot right next to him, 'If the blue dot is me, then the dots must represent people, the only other person home is mom so that must be her.'
He was amazed at the fact he could even see the people in his surroundings on the map, this would help ward off sneak attacks or surprises in the future.
'It seems like it can only show me the area around myself by about... 20 meters? That's pretty convenient.' Lake was especially pleased with this feature as it meant he wouldn't have to worry about getting lost and he could always know if someone was near him.
[This is the minimap function, it allows the User to see the area surrounding him with a radius of 20 meters. The dots seen by the User are represented as so, Blue = User, Green = allies, Red = Enemies and Gray = Neutral. Though the minimap can detect enemies around the User, it cannot detect those with too high a cultivation compared to the User.]
After hearing the explanation from the system Lake understood how powerful the minimap was, and was in awe at how useful the system was. He was eager to see the inventory function, even if the name basically explained everything.
Sure enough, the display once again changed to show a grid of small boxes that was 5 by 5 in size. 'Yeah, it's as I thought, and it seems that it can only hold around 25 things. Isn't that a little meager in terms of space?' Lake grumbled in his heart but didn't say anything, allowing the system to explain first.
[This is the inventory function, it is a 5 by 5 space that can hold any inanimate item within it. Although there are only 25 slots for items each slot can hold an infinite number of said items. Anything that can expire is also completely preserved within the space, the system freezes the objects so that it in the exact same state it was put in.]
Lake's eyes shone and he retracted his earlier thought at the system being stingy, this function was truly too useful, to be able to preserve anything put inside was in itself an incredible feature as Pharmacists sent out a lot of gathering missions requesting the herbs to be fresh.
It also allowed travel to be much more convenient as he wouldn't need to hunt while in the wild if he could just store any food in his inventory right as he cooked it.
Also with that the system's tutorial was finished and Lake completed his first mission.
Soon he received his first reward, the system's welcome package. The system then spoke to inform him that the reward would be in his inventory and to access it he just needed to think about the object he wanted for it to be taken out or put in.
Lake held out his arms and thought about taking the package out, in the next instant he felt his arms sink slightly. A cardboard box had appeared in his arms suddenly, it wasn't very large or heavy but Lake was excited thinking about what kind of item he'd get from it.
Opening the box he found a book inside. It was a cultivation technique to train his energy.
Swallowing Star Cultivation Technique.
