Beginning of everything

"Give me a chance and I will take you to a whole new world. Let me change your fate!"

I sat there on the couch while that commercial went on for God knows how many times already.

"So are you guys ready? For a whole year we tried to prepare as much as we could just for tomorrow." I said mildly as I glanced around familiar faces around me.

"Aye, little bro why are you so tense? If we count your sister there is eleven of us in total and each and every one of us knows precisely what we should do, just relax a bit and focus on your part of the job, everything will be alright."

"I seriously hope you are right, if we screw this up you all know I'm a dead man right?"

Who am I kidding, we are all dead if we screw this up, there's no point reminding them now about that, I just hope that Gab is right and we all didn't waste our lives.

To introduce you into the story so far, we are bunch of your daily average teenagers who decided to risk their everything because of a certain rumor. One day a little more than year ago our friend Gabriel came to us with some rumors that World Government Union or WGU for short is in the end phase of making a new game. But that isn't just any game you know, they are in the making of most perfect virtual reality massive multiplayer online role-playing game or VRMMORPG, with near infinite possibilities in choices and ways to play. The whole game is based on super A.I. Fate-weaver which will quite ironically be responsible for the balance of our new and fantastical lives. That was one of the ways that WGU came up with to solve the problem of massive unemployment which was caused by rapid development of robots which practically stole our jobs but there are still some jobs that require humans, but hey now at least we can sit home and play games doing nothing and get our pathetic and miserable amount of social welfare which WGU distributes. Game capsule will be free while game itself will cost three paychecks for a regular white collar worker. So we decided to pull our money together and buy as much capsules as we can and prepare as much as we can before the game starts, lucky for us game company with the name Snowstorm which was responsible for the making of the game started releasing some information and teasers about the game from which we extracted most of our information. And to put a cherry on the cake Gab is also some kind of a prophet, no not the religious type of prophet but he can see the future, he however can't choose what he sees but he does remember every little part of the fragments of the future he gets. First time he told us about it we found it hard to believe, until time passed and evidence started piling up, thus we decided to reconsider Gabriel's visions and make most of our plans with them in mind, and few of those visions were exactly about new game "Origin". That's mostly the reason we decided to sacrifice everything for a second chance at life that this game might give us. Now back to the present.

"Gab you do know I'll dig your eyes out if we screw this up right?"

"What problem do you have with my eyes now? Sandra says I have wonderful eyes."

"Sandra is your girlfriend of course she will tell you they are wonderful."

"And my visions don't have anything to do with my eyes, will your ape brain connect that already?"

"Are you calling me monkey again? Want a fight little guy?"

"Sit down…" I said calmly, they will never change and I know that, I don't even want them to change but please don't argue over every stupid little thing you can.

"Hey Yan, did you tell everything to Mia already?"

"She doesn't need to know everything, she knows enough for now, all she has to know is that I will get enough money and we will live peacefully and calmly for the rest of our lives." Is what I usually tell them whenever they ask the same question, even though I don't really want to keep secrets from her but this is just temporary solution for now, later I will tell her everything.

"You know the best bro, but she won't grow up properly in that glass bell of yours and you know it. She is a smart kid, she probably knows something is off."

"I know damn it, you think I wanted this? Ever since our parents died I promised to be her everything so she can grow up as a fine and proper young lady and I will do anything I can just for that so don't you dare lecture me."

"Hey Yan bro, it's cool, you know any of us here will gladly help you with anything, and no one here wants to lecture you, maybe we don't have blood ties but we are your brothers and Mia is our little sister too so her wellbeing is also our concern."

"Sorry, I'm just jumpy a little now, I'm going home as all of you should too, game starts tomorrow morning so I don't want any of you late. Enzo drop Gab off that way you will have more time to discuss between yourself more about tomorrow."

"Don't worry Yan, everything will be fine just focus on your own thing."

"Okay guys, see you tomorrow then."

"Ok guys, now that he's out, how many of you have awakened?" Asked Gabriel.

"All of us, but is it really necessary to keep secrets from Yan?" Asked Marko as he scratched his head.

"Look how much effort it took me to make him believe in just this "visions" of mine, how probable would it be for him to believe us if he hears the rest of the story?"

"Ah that is true, but it just feels bad, I mean we know him for all his life and I like him a lot, all of this is just simply dumb in my opinion." Said Marko.

"That's why no one allowed you ape to make decisions, anyway I just hope first brother doesn't screw his part up or we lied for nothing Yan."
