Two birds one stone

"It's settled then, Friday night you are going on a blind date, I won't take no for an answer and no excuses, even if heavens crash down on earth you are going on that date, unless you want me to ignore you brother?" Said Mia with a mischievous grin, gosh that would look so cute if it didn't scare me this much right now.

"Yes, yes, whatever you say princess."

"Mia are you forgetting something?" Sasha spoke as she looked at Mia with sadness.

"Nope, everything according to plan, you just keep quiet I will text you the details later." Answered Mia without even looking at her, and hey what plan, I have a feeling again that I've been scammed.

"Um do I have any say in this?" I asked, just in case although I can already predict the answer.

"You do, you have a say in what you will wear, but if you dress like you did right now I will revoke even that right from you."

"Hey what's wrong with my outfit, I just picked up something casual and comfortable." I tried defending but I can already feel bad about this.

"Big brother I think you left your fashion sense somewhere and forgot where it is, I think we need to visit eye doctor on our way home." She can be quite ruthless sometimes, doesn't she know those words do hurt?

"You are lucky enough you are handsome so most people don't bother with what you are wearing." Continued Mia.

"She is right though, you are handsome enough." Added Sasha, her eyes glowed strangely as she measured me top to bottom.

"Stop spouting nonsense both of you; I'm average at best, if I was handsome like you say I would've already been confessed to at least."

"Brother you are one of most genius person I have ever knew but your EQ may have hit the rock bottom, as far as I'm concerned someone might have even confessed to you but you are just unaware of it." Okay this was quite conflicting for me, on the first part of her sentence I felt pride brimming inside me but it all crashed and burned once she continued.

"Okay enough chatting, let's head home I'm kind of hungry." Spoke Mia and I'm already alerted, I called for a waiter and paid the bill, Sasha wanted to split but I refused, I'm a man and even if I have rock bottom EQ as my sister mentioned I know basic courtesy of paying the bill.

After saying goodbyes we headed to the market street to pick up some groceries for dinner, Mia really didn't spare me this time and bought enough for a small royal feast, once I asked her about it she just replied: "What if we have some guests soon, we should offer them something at least, even if we are poor we are not that poor.

I didn't have enough mental strength to argue with her so I just let it slide, once we finished with shopping Mia came up to me and pulled my sleeve.

"Brother, stop for a bit I want to take my phone." I was walking with her bag on my back along with all the bags from the shopping; she usually puts her phone in her bag so I stopped so she can take it out.

Once she got her phone she deftly operated with it and under one minute she managed to send out few texts, her hand eye coordination always amazes me, even though she is still a bit slower than me I trained myself for a long time unlike her without even bit of training.

"Who are you texting?" I asked trying to make some conversation.

"Friends, there's a thing called privacy brother, look it up online." She replied without even raising her head, ouch that was below the belt, like I don't know what privacy is.

"There is no such thing as privacy for you and me because beside being your brother I'm also your guardian, live with it." Is what I said but she didn't even react to it, she just continued sending out message after message.

I was quite bored so I took out my phone and called Marko.

"Hey Yan, what's up? Need something?"

"Nope, just wanted to check up on you guys, how are things going?"

"Oh that, things are just fine, everything according to plan, you are out now right? Once you log back check your mail we sent you some things." He spoke in his usual lazy voice.

"Oh what things, anything useful?" I don't really care what they have sent, I just want for this conversation to keep going because my little sister is ignoring me, life is sad right?

"Like I know, you know I'm not the person you pick for memory contest." He was getting grumpy, indeed his attention span is as long as flowing water, one second it's there and another it's god knows where. He doesn't really have any issue with memorizing; he is quite smart it's just that he doesn't care about most things.

"Okay then I'll check it once I finish dinner, say Lea I said hi, see you around."

"Yeah, yeah, get your own girlfriend stop bothering ours, kiss Mia for me, see you around bro."

This jackass, he tells me not to bother his girl but he won't leave my sis alone.

In a mansion not that far away.

"Sasha your phone is ringing, it's annoying me go pick it up." Said the voice from upstairs.

"Yes sis, it's just a message." Answered Sasha as she checked her phone, it was quite a short message on her phone that made her laugh hard.

"Two birds one stone, co-sister-in-law. Mia."
