The heartache

(edited)

~A year before Leona posted to work in Country K~

It was at Andrew's new office. Suddenly a familiar face came into the room wearing glasses.

"President would like to see you. Please come home for dinner tonight."

Andrew didn't moved an inched. He looked on his desk a silver plate ~ CEO ANDREW MOONCHILD~ He knew he had no ability to say no to his father. After President Moonchild's personal assistant-Mr Powell, conveyed all the details, he left the room.

After a few minutes, Andrew walked slowly and grabbed his black jacket and also a car key.

At the mansion, Andrew drove his car and stopped the car in front of the entrance of the mansion house. A velvet took over the driver seat and park the car under the basement of the building. He was welcomed by the maids and a butler.

"Welcome Young Master!"

It was a while Andrew stepped into the mansion after the death of their mother, Mrs Lily Moonchild four years ago.

"Yo bro! How are you?"

His brother Russell hugged him welcoming him to the house.

Andrew just hugged him back and gave a little punch to his shoulder. Russell was five years younger than him. Sure he was talkative and cheerful.

Andrew looked up his brother. He was getting taller and no longer looked childish. Their appearance was no resemblance between the two of them. Andrew styled his dark black hair into an angular fringe undercut haircut. It made his face flawless and had attracted many ladies around. That's explained why he liked to wear a cap to make himself low-profiled as possible as he could from the attentions. While Russell styled his dark brown hair into edge undercut haircut. The women would be crazy just to see him from far. He was also a playful and easily to be closed with. As the time flew so fast Andrew barely recognized his own brother.

While they were talking suddenly a little boy aged four years old peeking from the end of the couch where the two of them were sitting.

"Who was that?"

Andrew was distracted looking at the small dark head at the edge of the sofa.

"Where?"

Asked Russell and turning around looking for the thing his brother mentioned earlier.

"Oh..It was Esra! Come here big man!"

Russell stood and picked up Esra from the edge of the sofa and brought him to Andrew. Andrew was totally astounded. The boy was totally looked like himself when he was at his aged. Andrew could not uttered any word.

"Say hi to big brother, Andrew!" He introduced Andrew to the little brother of them.

"Andrew, this is Esra, our dearest littler brother."

Russell put Esra on his lap. The ambience was suddenly became awkward. The sorrow in his heart suddenly struck Andrew's.

"Come to my reading room."

Suddenly President Moonchild showed up on the 1st floor. Andrew stood and walked without looking at Esra. The boy just looked at his back.

"Its okay buddy. He needs to see daddy."

Russell kissed his cheek and played with him by carrying him around the house.

Russell knew his brother's pain and he knew that Andrew could not accept the death of their mother. Their mother died right after she gave birth to Esra. She was pregnant and gave birth in her old aged. Andrew was totally against the decision but their mother wasn't willing to let go of the pregnancy. When their mother died, he was not willing to return to the house and stayed outside, away from his family almost four years. He was blaming his father and hated everybody for not taking any action to save his beloved mother's life.

He hated Esra? Yes, he almost threw the crib while infant Esra was in it through the window in rage. It was when he was seeing the baby for the first time, four years ago.

Andrew strode to the reading room with a distracted mind. He was also wondering what would his father would asked him to do this time. He was suffocated with the room and everything there.

When he reached the reading room, President Moonchild passed him pictures. He took it and looked at it. When he saw the pictures he inhaled deeply and patiently waited for his father to speak. President Moonchild also didn't utter any word and just looked at his son's reaction. They were silent and stood still in the same position in five minutes.

"She is a good girl." Said President Moonchild broke the silence.

".. but you can't be with her."

"Since when you can interfere in my personal life?"

Andrew said it in monotone voice as he was controlling his emotion which emotion was really liked a volcano would erupted at any moment.

"I don't mean to be prejudiced. I like her but you already engaged to Susan. Don't you remember?"

President Moonchild reminded him the engagement made between them four years ago. He was twenty six years.

" I'm not your pawn." He snapped.

"It was your mother's choice. She wanted you to be with her. A least we do this for her."

Instantly Andrew punched the table. The punch was really hard until the dark glass of the table shattered to the ground. His eyes were bloodshot and a little glassy.

President Moonchild was appalled to see him in that situation.

"You must make the wedding happened! I would eliminate anybody who would getting on the way." reprimanded President Moonchild stubbornly to his son.

"Including her…" As if he rubbed the salt to the wound.

After the encountered with his father that night, Andrew did his best to protect Leona. It was almost a year they had been in the relationship and up to that time Leona still did not know who was the real Andrew and his background. She only knew that he was one of the worker and recently was getting promoted to a higher position but she still did not know the exactly what he held in the company.
