Recovery

Henry woke up and once again he was in the hospital. His parents were nowhere to be seen and there was only a nurse in the room switching out his IV drip. The nurse greeted him with a warm smile when he woke up before leaving to get the doctor.

The same doctor that treated him in the incident from before stepped in the room. He shut the door and looked at Henry for a moment without speaking before approaching the bed. He gave him a quick checkup before beginning to speak.

"Your parents told me what happened, you've had such a traumatic experience." The doctor said with an empathetic look on his face. But Henry saw right passed this and returned his looked with a gaze of pure hatred.

Seeing this the face of the doctor dropped before sighing deeply. "Figured it all out have you?" He asked in a mocking tone. Henry stayed silent. "Let me explain something to you right now. You are under suicide watch due to the little outburst that put you here."

"Now you have two options you can either stay here for ten days and go on your way, or you can keep showing me that aggressive look and I'll report you as a danger to yourself and others. Upon which you will be moved to a more permanent room in the psychiatric wing."

"You parents have lost one child already you wouldn't want them to lose another, would you?" The doctor asked with a smile on his face. Henry could not hold back and tried to lunge at the doctor while shouting "I'LL FUCKING SKIN YOU ALIVE YOU PIECE OF SHIT!".

This is when he realized he could not get out of the bed. His hands were tied down to the sides. The doctor laughed as he watched Henry struggle with futility. The doctor moved to the door preparing to leave the room when he turned around to speak with a smile plastered on his face.

"I suggest you have a better attitude when I come back." Before closing the door gently on his way out like it was a normal day at the office. About an hour later his parents showed up to check up on him.

They kept stating how sorry they worry for not telling him sooner and also kept saying how much they loved him. Henry felt sorry for worrying his parents and told them it was not their fault and he wasn't going anywhere.

His parents were only able to stay for thirty minutes before leaving to head back to work. They did not want to ask for any time off. Their bosses had already been very generous with what they gave them and they did not want to ask for too much and risk losing favor.

After they left Henry laid down and closed his eyes thinking, plotting for the future to come. Ten days passed quickly with Henry playing the part of a loyal puppy when it came to the doctor. As Henry and his parents loaded into the car and drove off the doctor stared down at them from his office at the top of the building with a somber expression on his face.

"Call the Franklins, tell them to keep an eye on him, someone with that much hatred in his eyes doesn't just roll over." His secretary nodded before leaving the room. Henry stayed quiet the whole way home. Planning to kill someone no a whole family wasn't the same as planning to 'experiment' on an animal. The student would only be the beginning he would not rest until everyone who had a part in his brother's death died a torturous death which included the student's entire family.

First, he had to figure out where they lived. The problem being though, he didn't even know the student's first name much less his last. Henry couldn't think of a viable way to remedy this issue. The student hated him so he couldn't just approach him and they didn't have any classes together so he wouldn't be able to find out that way.

Henry got out of the car and went to his room immediately not taking any time to talk to his parents. The wound on his chests hurt and he hated himself for being so emotional. He had to apply cream over it every morning and night.

He also had to be extremely careful when taking showers or it would feel like hell. It was a huge distraction from being able to think about taking revenge. He decided to rest at least for a few days. He wouldn't be attending school for two weeks anyway he could figure it out in that time.

So the night passed slowly and eventually, the morning finally came. Henry had much difficulty sleeping due to the pain in his chest. He couldn't wear a shirt or have a blanket over his chest or else he would feel fabric get caught onto the large scabs and pull on his skin.

For the first time in a while, he stared at himself in the mirror. He observed the wound on his chest and the lack of muscles on both his chest and arms. This would be another problem. The dog from before was small and easily handled.

An actual person would be a much different story. He needed to get stronger. Henry hated himself for being so week in the past and letting his body reduce to such a state. Building up muscle in his arms wouldn't be too difficult but training his stamina would be another story.

He hated running or jogging with a passion. It was so boring for him. He was in his own head enough and cardio didn't help with that. Putting headphones in his ears didn't help with that either it just made it worse.

Henry sighed deeply as he thought of all the effort he would need to put in. But when he thought of the end goal he was reinvigorated with energy from his hatred. He couldn't start immediately though despite how much he wanted to.

He needed to let his body heal first or he would just end up hurting himself more than helping. Just as he was thinking about this an idea popped into his mind. He also needed to learn to fight. He could start learning martial arts.

Learning martial arts would not only help with his physical strength and stamina it would also help with coordination and agility it was perfect he would be able to do all things at once. Along with the fact that it requires intense focus, he would also be able to distract himself from being in his own head while learning.

Now the only thing he needed to figure out was how he would convince his parents to let him learn. It didn't take him long before coming up with something. He would likely be able to use the previous incident as a reason to fight so he could 'defend' himself.

The money given as compensation could be used to afford private lessons with a teacher. In the end, their own money would be their downfall. Having decided on a course of action Henry sat down at his computer and researched different types of martial arts.

If he was really going to commit himself to learning a martial art he would need to make sure it suited his needs well. After a few hours of research, Henry decided to go with Krav Maga. It was most suited to his needs as he did not have anything against ending the life of another if need be.

Krav Maga was efficient in this aspect, allowing the user to end the fight in a matter of seconds rather than a drawn-out fight. This would also help him conserve stamina in real situations as well. There was one location in his city that taught this martial art.

This was due to the fact that it was known to be lethal and was slightly frowned upon. He knew that even though he could use his incident as a reason he would need to do more convincing as to why to learn Krav Maga specifically.

His parents likely wouldn't be comfortable with him learning such a lethal martial art when it is supposed to just be for self-defense. They wouldn't want him to kill anyone. Henry was not very worried about this though he would explain this when the time came.

Now having a clear path ahead of him he laid on his bed and relaxed. Patiently waiting for time to go by for his wound to heal and for his revenge to be attained. Another week passed by quickly before he went back to school.

He was greeted by his 'friends' asking him why he was gone so long among other things. He just played along saying he had a family emergency but everything was ok now. Since school just started little over a week ago he did not have to worry about any work he missed.

He was given all the current assignments which he was able to finish before anyone else. Of course, he didn't let anyone know he was done and acted like he was struggling so no one would bother him. The only reason he actually completed the work was so the teachers wouldn't bother him.

He just wanted to fly under the radar the entire year. He planned to get B's on most assignments with the very occasional A along with slightly more frequent F's. There was absolutely no reason to strive for academic excellence he just needed to pass to keep both his parents and teachers happy.

Another week went by like this before he felt he had recovered enough to start training and planned to bring the subject up with his parents tonight. The evening quickly came and they were all at the dinner table enjoying some Chicken Parmesan his mom had made.

"Mom, dad I would like to learn martial arts." Both his parents were stunned for a moments before looking at each other and nodding. "So you want to learn some karate or something?" His dad asked him calmly.

Henry took a deep breath before responding, "No. I want to learn Krav Maga.". His father had a stunned expression before answering in a tone that was final, "No. You don't need to learn something so lethal.".

Henry was slightly taken aback by the tone of his father. He knew he would have to do some convincing but he didn't think his father would be so final about it. "I'll pay for it I just need you to take me." His father looked at him with an annoyed look on his face.

He slightly chuckled before speaking again, "Ok Henry, If you can come up with the money I'll take you.". Henry smiled when he heard this, "Thank you, check your bank account tomorrow morning.". With this Henry hurriedly finished his dinner before heading to his room.

His dad sat there slightly stunned before writing what Henry said off as nothing. In his room, Henry logged onto his computer and checked his bitcoin wallet. He still had 0.67 Bitcoin left which was worth approximately 4,288.00 USD.

This was enough for two private lessons and ten class lessons. Henry's heart ached when he converted the Bitcoin to USD and deposited it all to his dad's bank account. Henry sighed deeply before logging off his computer and laying on his bed. Although he originally planned to try an convince his parents to pay with compensation money, the tone from his dad caused him to quickly abandon that idea it wasn't too big of a deal anyway.

He would finally start on his path to revenge. He wouldn't let the student and their family off easy. He knew their family was rich he would make sure they saw their money burn before they died. With this Henry closed his eyes and went to sleep.

He slept especially well that night. Dreaming of the expressions the student and his family would have as they watched their estate burn to the ground. Killing them each slowly afterward. He even laughed in his sleep as the images appeared in his mind.

In the morning he woke up feeling refreshed and went to school thinking about how he would learn the student's name and where he lived. These were problems that he would need to solve before he would be able to act.

He was not worried though he had plenty of time. It would take him months to gain a basic understanding of martial arts anyway. Not only this but after finding out where they lived he would have to figure out how to get there and so on and so forth.

But those were problems for the future. Right now he just needed to worry about his current issues.
