[Would you like to examine hosts stats?]
Mason couldn't believe that all that work he put into his last life vanished. The old fox really did a number on him for being a competitive and jovial spirit. In that game of chess, he was certain that the old universal ruler was completely focused on letting him win. Now, though, he felt as weak as a mortal. He hadn't felt this weak and powerless in over 200,000 years!
He sighed and because of this didn't yet wish to examine his stats.
"No, please just tell me a way to begin training… I'd like to make it up to the level of Supreme by nightfall…"
[Ding!]
[Host has been offered mission to increase experience…. Would you like to begin your first quest?]
[The first quest will allow you to gain 50 Pinnacle points… these points can be used to breakthrough in areas such as the Dao, Mind, and gain passive and active skills for combat… It is suggested that the Host complete missions in order to unlock the status of cultivator. Currently, hosts new body is like a fish that needs to be turned into a dragon…]
"Ugh, are you serious! Is this your convoluted way of saying I can't reach supreme by tonight?"
[Ding!]
[Host is currently a mortal… In order to reach Supreme entity status in this world, host must complete missions and learn to adjust to the new Dao and Essence of this disparate universe…. However, this system will help host reach this point much faster than in your last life! Even 19 millenniums might be enough to reach the pinnacle in this universe!]
"Uhm…. wow, so I got extremely cheated by that old goat… Fine, show me the first quest!"
[Ding! Host has been offered quest…. The path of bodily destruction and reformation]
[The path of bodily destruction and reformation is a quest that requires host to reach near death experiences in order to gain abilities…. Things like getting hit by cars, falling off mountains, and getting bit by dogs and scratched by cats will add experience to hosts Pinnacle Body Cultivation art… This quest will help your body reach the Pinnacle… Would you like to accept the quest?]
"…."
"Uhm, do you have anything that I can complete today… I feel like the old fox just gave you that quest, so I could suffer endless torment in order to get stronger…"
[Ding!]
[It is really recommended host accept this quest in order to accept another quest… Body cultivation in this planet is the main way for common mortals to gain strength… Would you please accept this quest?]
"…"
"Yes…."
[Ding! Host has accepted quest The Path of Bodily destruction and reformation]
[Type of Mission: Survival]
[Mission difficulty S+]
Mason sighed as he accepted this quest….
This quest seemed like punishment and retribution from the old heavens. He had just entered his world, and the old bats mission was for him to hurt himself. It was one of the reasons he suspected certain students in his last world were told to be body cultivators. Secretly, as they trained in various difficult circumstances such as by pushing boulders up and down mountains. Up above, there would be their master, delightfully watching them suffer as their external energies grew stronger.
However, he could either train or try and figure out where he lived. Unfortunately, when he was rushed into this body and mind and soul, he didn't receive any inherited memories. All he received appeared to be the language and knowledge necessary to be in this world. In other words, he didn't know where to sleep or eat tonight. Moving on his way, he found out that there seemed to be an exit to this village with a large, glowing sign. He exited the town and went to a place that looked extremely dangerous.
He might as well try out this mission, and hope that this quest would give him some points…
Then, though, he witnessed a pretty lady in distress as she tried to battle three boars with some weird type of sword he'd never seen before. After jumping in front of the boars and getting their horns stabbed into his gut. He looked at the lady and smiled before he began to get buzzed by the system.

Mason and the three boars went head to head as the lady gawked at the lanky and ballsy mortal in front of her. She had just reached the first rank of Refinement and went outside the Helix Town City Border and entered into the Verdant plains. Monsters and beasts surrounded her that she was able to deal with easily, and finally she found three apple crushing boars… Most men would never wish to fight these apple crushing Boars, but this man kept getting hit in a critical and important point.
However, he seemed to be enjoying himself, and at the same time, he was finally beginning to fight back.
"Hmph, you dare go after my privates! I will be eating some boar tonight!"
"Little fat pieces of bacon, die, die, die!"
Mason fought diligently as the lady sat down and watched this foolish and young looking man try and fight the boars. He attacked, dashed, and danced around the boars beginning to get a tempo. However, every few moments he'd seem happy as the apple crushing boars rammed into that critical spot. She even felt saddened for whomever tried to make kids with him. He began to get better at fighting them, though, and soon he picked up a rock and began bashing the youngest boar in the head.
BOOM! BOOM!
Mason battled vigorously for twenty minutes before two boars lay dead on the ground. His lower body part was swollen, and his mind felt in shambles. What felt like a day ago was a time he could create boars. Now, though, he had to fight with Mortal rank boars with all his might.
He felt like he was in the mortal rank, or the lowest of all possible ranks. If he didn't figure out a way to grow stronger soon, he'd die in less than one hundred years. For someone who lived for three thousand eras, and mastered various attack methods and daos, this thought caused him to beat the pig to beyond death.
"Uhm, mister… are you alright?" The lady said looking at blood dripping down his leg. "I've never seen a man dare face an Apple crushing boar before the refinement rank. After all, there is blood dripping down your leg because of their fierce attacks."
Mason looked down embarrassed. After making sure that he still felt his precious package, he nodded his head at the girl in front of him. She was exquisite, smart, and refined in appearance. As she moved towards him, he began to realize that she was also stronger than him. He just tried to save a damsel in distress that was in the refinement stage. She had an exquisite air to her that a cultivator had that had just begun their path to eternity. In his last body, these women would bow, shake, and plea for him to touch them and grant them power.
"Heh, I thought you might have been in danger, so I took the risk… Plus, I didn't realize that these boars had such a sick appetite! They seemed to wish to really crush my apples! I really hope that my lady forgives me for being so presumptuous. After all, my lady must understand I'm new to this town. If I realized the sick penchant of these pieces of bacon, I would've definitely let my lady handle this situation…"
"Heh, yes, you are definitely new here… Let me take you to my home, and get you some bandages… I can also cook you some dinner?"
Mason looked down at the two dead boars who netted him 100 experience, and 200 experience. He didn't only wish to eat them. He wished to resurrect them and kill them over and over again. Luckily, he also learned a move called the
"Yes, my lady… Your beauty and kindness are like an ultimate gift from the gods…"
[Ding! Host has learned Charm…]
Charm has increased by .01 points!
After him hearing about charm, the lady seemed embarrassed and then waved him towards her house.
….
"Wow… this is a nice place you got here! I really like all the dead Apple Crushing Boars on the wall… It's good to know that this race of demon beast is being put to good use…"
The lady smiled and put down a plate of the apple crushing boar on the table. This was a small house in the woods not too far away from where those boars bust his chops. He couldn't help but cut them into tiny pieces with his knife as the lady sighed at him.
"Yes… welcome to my home…. Your name was Mason, right?"
Mason nodded his head and picked up the cooked apple crushing boar chops. He ate it slowly hoping to exact revenge on their bodies even after they died. After all, his lower apples still hurt from their fierce and powerful and somewhat ordinary attacks.
"Yup, however… I seemed to have forgotten everything else about myself… All I know is that apple crushing boars should be killed, and that ladies as pretty as you should be saved…"
"Heh… I don't need saving… In fact, I'm actually looking for members to help me fight against the leaders of Helix Town. I'm a member of a revolutionary guild known as the Hearts of Chaos. After seeing you fight today, I took you here in hopes that you'd be able to eat, and be safe away from that sick Foundation Building expert…"
"Hmmm, Foundation Building? I've never heard of such a level before?" The reason being was that the names were different in this universe. After all, that old fox took him to a place with not even a shred of similarity. This way, he would have to spend more time reaching the Pinnacle. It had such a difference in Dao and essence, that he wouldn't be able to use the same devouring magic, nor the same enchantment spells.
"The Foundation Building expert is what you'd consider one tier stronger than me. He is also a despot that needs to be taken town by us from the Hearts of Chaos… We are always looking for new recruits, too… and I figured after seeing your bravery, you might want to join?"
Mason ate more of the apple crushing boars, and then looked at the lady in her two gorgeous eyes. She seemed so impassioned when she talked about saving this town, but why should he care? In fact, he didn't see any reason to invest himself in the plight of mortals. He already saw himself as a Supreme and had not yet acclimated to this mortal life.
"I'm sorry, but I don't think I can join you guys… I need to go out and train my body for a little while… Otherwise, I will just be cannon fodder for your cause, and not provide the proper support.
The lady across from him smiled and then drew out her sword… "Hmmm, what's so wrong about being cannon fodder?"
